great kid, nice family.
many boys play on more than one team.
as long as it doesn't directly impact your life then what are you whining about? pick on someone your own size dad.
on the other hand, if it directly impacts your daily life perhaps you need a little therapy. get your own house in order.

You're out of you're F'in mind! WOW! Crazy!

I was at NXT and watched this game. The 91 kids, coaches and parents are out of control. It starts with the organization. These boys are doing what they were taught to do and I can tell you that if they continue to play this way more kids are going to get hurt. This is not "hard nose" lacrosse. It's slashing, hitting from behind, hitting after the play is over. If they don't get called it doesn't mean it didn't happen!! You should take your son get him away from those coaches AND that organization. I am a LI parent who was embarrassed by the way you represent LI lacrosse. Get it together!!

You are quite wrong about this team. I watched this game as well and saw a horribly officiated game that had major fouls by Looneys kids go uncalled. This led to an out of control game with slashing etc on both sides. Looneys parents and coach were way out of control. This behavior is not appropriate by either side but the 91 bashing is so slanted and untruthful concerning this team.
Do you all mean to tell me all of a sudden after a full summer of many tournaments this team and their parents all of a sudden became this way. Not a single word about it until they beat Rising Sons and had this heated game with Looneys.
The LI parent who commented should wake up and recognize that inappropriate behold at lax games is an epidemic and not exclusive to any region. Be a team player and stop embarrassing yourself or are you the Crush BBQ guy?
I was not only commenting on the Titanium parents but the organization as well!! Do you want to talk about CRUSH? Here you go...they are up 16-2 with a couple on minutes left and that jerkoff coach calls a play and 22 goes behind his back as his coach cheers him on. WHAT A JOKE!!

Ohh here to stir more stuff up. Funny thing is at our 17-2 game our coach was not there he was coaching his younger team. To really add to it the boys did not shoot the final ten minutes. Heck of a try tho. Back to the cheap shot hits

Having played Looneys and Crush several times, both teams are out of control and their coaches wind those kids up. We have had several injuries (serious) after playing both teams. Crush also has a habit of tricks when the score is run up. Refs in tournies do not make most calls they should just to keep the games on time so that is no measure of whether the kids and coaches are wrong. The parents are rude and disrespectful and cheer when kids are injured. Both teams give the sport a bad name.

My team has also played the Looneys and the were classy and skilled. Crush...."don't hate me because I'm beautiful" Everyone loves to talk about them, but they really just are an extremely elite team that most of us would love to have our kids on if we had the chance. I think all you people need to focus on your own kids and their growth in the sport. Do what works, find a fit, and stay hungry! My two cents!

The tryouts for the Maryland teams are posted on one of their threads. Interesting that almost all are in August. Outlaws do it early up here. Sounds like the Jesters are trying to go in August also. How long before most of the LI teams start doing theirs in August?

In terms of the kids being in great lax shape and form- the try outs would work best in August. However, they would also interfere with family vacations in NY. MD and other states go back to school at the end of August, where as our kids were in school until the end of June and do not go back until after Labor Day- Sept 6th or 7th this year. I guess if your spot is pretty secure on your team and your family vacationed it is not a big deal, but if you are looking to move to another club or break into a better team, families would have to give up more time to lax.

Is Crush playing in the stonybrook lax fest? If so please don't question where Legecy played last week, because you are in the same division as three as three town teams. Maybe this is the tournament other kids play? probably not.

Are there any players from Nassau County on the team other than the big attackman from GC?

Can you explain what "hardcore nose to the ground" means? I've heard "Keep your EAR to the ground" and "Keep your nose to the GRINDSTONE" but never "hardcore nose to the ground." Thanks.

Yes I can explain it. First it means your a [lacrosse]. The rest is obvious.

It is "you are" or "you're" a [lacrosse]....cretin.

If they are from S.W.R. or near there, they may go to the new group that the old SWR coach is starting. If they are near Islip they may go to Legacy. If they are from the south shore of Nassau County they may go to True Blue. If they are from the north shore they may go to Express or fl$.
Plenty of options.

While titanium may be a nice fit and comfortable team at the end of the day people look out for themselves. Some realize that a B team in an organization is not going to top invite tournaments or getting you into top individual showcases Only being on a top team will do that and better be on one of the top teams by 8 th grade. Can't blame a kid for looking at the big picture and what will get teM to the promise land. Titanium will always be the stepchild

I wouldn't call them a stepchild but there is so much focus on Crush that it does take away from Titanium.

They won't leave because they would be taking a step backwards. Can't get on Crush unless invited, chances of making Terps slim to none. Who knows whats going on with Legacy....that's a gamble. All other clubs way below!

What if these way below clubs as you say bolster their core players with good additions such as these titanium kids.

My kid plays for Leading Edge from New Jersey. We beat 91 Titanium by one goal a few weeks ago, and we beat True Blue by two goals last weekend. Both games were great competition. 91 was tough on defense. True Blue had very good middies. They looked pretty equal overall.

Let's get this straight kids are not leaving to go anywhere the season hasn't ended. There are few choices out there. It's either 91 or express you always stay with the best coaches. Everything else will work itself out. You first need athletes before you can make a lacrosse team. Anybody who thinks differently is kidding themselves and delusional and titanium will get them!!!

Nothing to do with it. Crush is a fantastic team and does not have to behave the way they do. Running up scores, verbally harassment and doing trick shots when you are up by 10plus is unsportsmanslike. Parents behaving like lunatics is just wrong. RM and SM winding up the Looneys boys so they go out and hit like crazy is not classy. Their onfield language is ridiculous.

I have to disagree. My son plays 2021 and has played all of the top teams in that year. In the heat of the game I have heard the most mild mannered and respectable kids get involved in the trash talking, my son included. If you think that your kid doesn't get competitive and in the heat of the moment when hey are playing then your ignorant. It also does not mean they are bad kids on and off the field. Sit by the sidelines at a high school game and listen to these kids. Trash talking is part of the game in any sport. And as for pumping up the kids, what are the coaches supposed to do? That's their job. Kids wanna win and go balls to the wall throughout the game, sounds to me like you expect these boys to stop playing their hearts out and it's not fair to them. They're supposed to stop playing hard because their winning? What does that teach them? You also can't fault them when they play in a 2020 division in a tournament because they are a 2020 team. But I guess that's what happened when you're on the top, they do the same thing to igloo in our forum

I agree- I do not see it as bad sportsmanship by having the kids play the game. I have had kids on both sides of the game and it was more embarrassing for the kids to watch the better team pass the ball around them, rather than for the kids to play the game. Let the kids play, teach them that it will not always be close and work hard to improve and get better. A much better lesson than having them be humiliated as a team plays keep away with the ball. Unfortunately, I think the better teams are starting to play keep away with the ball because of the parents screaming about bad sportsmanship. A game is a game- play it with heart all the way through.

Trash talk- happens in all sports- even among the most mild mannered kids. I think calling out that makes parents sound like they are picking on kids for the sake of having nothing else to say. Mic your team up and see what you hear... they all do it.

Making excuses for bad behavior is epidemic in sports. Low expectations breed low behavior. Adults explaining away bad behavior and tolerating it, is exactly why they continue to behave this way and it is escalating.

I did not see any excuses. Play the full game with heart- winner plays the best full game. Trash talk, until you know your kid or team does not EVER do it- don't be a hypocrite. Put your team on here and let the rest of us decide if we have heard it from your team- because they ALL do it.

Not from a Titanium parent. Just some jerk off trying to start something. Don't entertain them and they go away. We will let the 12 year olds play and have fun and whatever the result do be it.

Meant to say what was the name of the old SWR coach/group/team being created for the 2020. Looking for a team that practices near that location. Practice locations are not a good fit regarding Team 91- Farmingdale, Express - St Anthony's
