LOL - No. Next Level and Madlax have separated themselves at the top with Crabs and Hawks in the next tier. Didn’t Mad lax lose to freedom a week or two ago? Not saying freedom is bad but they are only the 3rd or 4th best pa team Madlax is notoriously inconsistent. The freedom loss ranks up there with one of their most embarrassing losses (and they’ve had some doozies). NL has had far fewer bad losses, and is likely a step ahead of them, but it’s been a long time since they’ve played each other. Crabs and Hawks are clearly a step below both of them at this point though.[/quote] NL beats Hawks one time in 6 years in fall ball and are now considered a tier above. Got it.

Mad Dog National is still the best of the best. Most of the best Nationals and Red Hots players landed there, which depleted those rosters. But it’s nice to see the national teams taking a back seat for the most part. Yeah, it's really tough to put together a national roster of players from 4+ other rosters (nationals/rh/mde/others) and then have them play well. Great start going 1-1-1 against clubs you normally pull players. Double rostering with reclasses and current 26's doesn't make you anything.

NL and Hawks may still be on the same tier but it doesn't help Hawks losing to DCE. It also doesn't help Hawks took a couple of NL players and lost to NL a couple of weeks ago. Who left the Hawks for those NL players to join?

Who left the Hawks for those NL players to join? It’s somewhat of a silly argument. Both teams are good and we all know that NL is notorious for taking top kids from other programs. Everybody does it at this level. The top players on both the Hawks and NL will have an opportunity to play in college. That’s all that matters.

Hawks, NL, Crabs and Madlax are all still in the same tier. Fall Ball is a guessing game. Players are rusty and all the teams were likely missing some players at various games. NL picked up a couple of middies this fall (from DCE maybe) that could change the equation, but only time will tell. Hawks and Madlax have some new faces as well, and I’m sure Crabs reloaded at least a little.
It will never happen, but would be fun to see a one day round robin with these 4 squaring off against each other.

My boy's team played Team Ten yesterday. They played a lot of kids also so they are very deep as well. I was impressed honestly. They were strong at every line and very athletic kids. If your team is loaded with holdbacks, it is, if not, well it is what it is. Yes, those boys were clearly developmentally a year or two older. They were pretty violent players too when it was not necessary. Regardless, they’re a fierce team and had tremendous advantage against all of the teams they beat, Crabs and Hawks included. Crabs beat DCE by a small spread. Hawks beat Crabs by a small spread. DCE beat Hawks by a small spread. It would be nice to see these teams play each other again, and put Ten with a team with an equal amount of holdbacks to level the playing field. Every team has holdbacks who are at the top. Some of these kids also are finally growing so all of a sudden a team looks older. Philadelphia usually has 1 really good club team every year. Malvern/Haverford are two of the best programs in the country. I have two older sons and I have always thought Philadelphia kids played very physical. These kids at schools in the Interac are taught to play physical because generally that is their advantage. They do not play in my opinion as clean lacrosse as Long Island or Maryland teams but are generally more athletic in my opinion. Crabs are almost all MD prep school kids (mainly BL)and are notorious for holding back freshmen year. And Hawks kids are held back at birth, they generally don’t come out of the womb until they are 18 months old. Almost every top Philly team my kids have played against is borderline dirty. I’m gonna say at least a third of the Crabs roster aren’t even MD kids anymore. They keep flying in more every year. Not seeing the value for either team or player, but to each their own I guess. Any parent of a HS age (16-21 years old) Crabs player who has come to that conclusion just now, has only themselves to blame. Ya knew what the product was when you signed up, however many years ago. But little Braydenn *had* to have that garish yellow helmet.

The Team 91 Md hater (son was 6th midfield on the dept chart before moving back to rec) says anything critical that comes to mind. No one with any credibility says that Team 91 Md "trophy hunts" since they play elite in the Hoco league even at the youngest ages which they have only recently started developing and are in the toughest tournaments.

Crabs ‘27 is overrated and has been for multiple years now. Turning into national team with many out of state players now playing.

Catch up. They play the toughest events and they almost never win there or in Hoco, and the only thing that can really be said about their "youth player development" is that the kids who stick with it, are tough sons of guns who are not afraid of playing bigger/faster/better kids, and playing whistle to whistle despite there being no real chance of winning, because that's what they did from 3rd grade to 8th grade. Character development DOES count.

FCA MD made some noise at IMCLA. Beat the Hawks 8-2 and only lost to eventual finalist BBL by one.
