I am talking about town ball (SGYL), why do they not keep records or even score for that matter
ask the ref 2 weeks ago what score was at half time reply was i dont know - i dont keep track of it
now i know that learning the game and improving is extremly important but the girls know the score , they know who won and lost
pal football keeps scores and has playoffs ( 7yr olds thru 13 yr olds) section 11 wrestling has county and state championships(1st grade thru 8th)
IMO lax ( girls and boys)needs to do the same at least keeping scores in the games so teams may be aligned the next season to hopefully get competitive games every week

NCPAL keeps score in 3rd grade and up. It is the home teams responsibility to keep the book and or scoreboard.

It has been suggested for 2 years that teams keep and track scores in SCGL. Falls on deaf ears.

They didn't even update their rules with the US Lacrosse changes - only 3 girls on the draw circle, horizontal stick on defense or the new, safer NOCSAE ball. http://www.scgirlslax.com/scgllax/htdocs/2014Rules.pdf

By the way wernt pictures taken anyone ever get an ID. Play 12 v 12 from 3 or 4th on up if you can field a team combine grades. SCgirlslax is a joke!

Funny all the coaches know the records and who lost to who. PAL is just a scrimmage every week. It comes down to leadership and if the powers that be want to make it a real county wide league they can. Don't know if it is because the folks are self interested and/or disorganized?? How about starting with an updated website, and then, maybe, social media. The PAL site should be the hub resource for all the team towns. This is the hotbed of lacrosse, time to act like it. If not, travel will take over and town teams that play tourneys now in the spring will only accelerate as team teams become travel teams. And kids and parents won't waste their time playing pick up lacrosse.
