The 2029 girls have a very deep class. Four or five teams that are clearly tops but then a very strong second class of teams. Long Island in particular, just given how small the island is and how many strong teams it fields (four). Nxt / 91 got a little heated on the sidelines. Will be interesting to see the rankings Wednesday. LI has 2 million more people than MD, 8.5M total. It isn’t small, haha. Team 91 is legit, and the parents are definitely fool. TG is a pretty good team, but will probably never win anything that anyone cares about. YJ is good, but the coach and director are a joke. They keep putting them in the B brackets in tournaments and they haven’t played anyone other than Monster this fall. Not sure who is the other legit team, I presume you mean Tradition, but they are just meh. Much like M&D DC, they happened to catch Integrity at the end of a tournament when their pressure backer D had run the life out of them. Outside of that one game, Tradition hasn’t impressed. Here are the real rankings that aren’t manipulated by YJ’s cowardice: 1) M&D 2) 91 Roar 3) Coppermine 4) Heros 5) NXT 6) Eagle Stix 7) YJ 8) Monster 9) Integrity 10) Top Guns

Predicted USClub Rankings; YJ Team 91 M&D NXT Coppermine Heros Real world experience rankings given we played everyone of those teams except YJ who doesn’t play anyone in the fall; M&D Team 91 Coppermine NXT Heros YJ Last year it was already discussed but given YJ dips everyone in the fall and plays in the B bracket there is a LI bias in the rankings. The system considers all the teams equal at start of fall and once teams have more common opponents it smooths out. Come summer it will work itself out like last year and the UsClub rankings will mirror my real world rankings.

M&D was the top team of the fall, you have to give them credit. They played a tough schedule and were consistent all fall. Coppermine also impressed but NXT gets the nod in my opinion for playing in both mid-atlantic and NY/NJ tournaments. I think Monster is better than you think. Eagle Stix struggled at Lax 4 the Cure. Here's my thoughts: 1) M&D 2) 91 Roar 3) NXT 4) Coppermine 5) Heros 6) YJ 7) Monster 8) Integrity 9) Top Guns 10) Eagle Stix

I really can't wait for the big summer tournaments. There is a ton of development that happens in 8th grade. Keep those girls training and injury free this winter. The spring and summer should be great.

The game I really want to see is M&D vs 91 Roar. We got a taste of this at American Select last summer. Maryland blew out Long Island in pool play but LI got their revenge in the playoffs. The 91 girls took over on day 2 and I'm sure the Maryland girls would love another shot at them. Long Island beat Pennsylvania in the final. PA was a tough team with the top NXT players. I wonder if they would have made it ot the final if they were in the bracket of death that had MD, LI, NY upstate and downstate in it.
imo M&D and 91 Roar are the top 2 teams in the 29 division right now. Would love to see them battle it out.

The difference between Mid Atlantic and LI is there are 4 teams in the Mid Atlantic that can beat one another on any given day. Heros, Coppermine, M&D, NXT. You can even throw Integrity in that mix. There are 5 legitimate top 5 programs who play each other year around. LI has... Team 91. YJ went 18-0 last year before entering an A bracket summer tournament and lost 4 games to those teams mentioned above. The difference between 91 and YJ is 91 doesn't duck the competition, not in the fall or summer. Kudos for them stepping up to test themselves against the best of the best. This fall they performed very well! For that they deserve to be in consideration for number 1. YJ will enjoy their glory at number 1 for now but, until they play any of the 6 teams mentioned above it's nothing short of... laughable. Monster will fall outside the top 5 and barely top 10 when the rankings update. Hard to claim to be number 1 (YJ) when that's your best win and only game against a top 10 team.

This year they will be improved and should beat all teams above. Hopefully you are still around to come back and eat your words.

Lol. YJ picked up at least one girl cut from the programs mentioned, you have never beaten those teams, you guys hide in the B bracket, have never won a tournament anyone has heard of, and duck team 91 by not playing in NGLL; nobody is scared of you.
I bet you guys would sign up for the B division in the NGLL too, so weak.

YJ dad,
Your coaches have the contact info for heros, m&d, coppermine, nxt, and integrity, why don’t they set up a scrimmage or two? Those teams could def use strong b bracket competition to try out new plays and get tuned up for ngll, why not make it happen? (We know why….)
Heros, m&d, and nxt should start entering the same lower brackets that yj plays in each tournament, that would be hilarious.

Saw YJ play this fall was not impressed (other than 1 player). Also saw the true top 5 teams and was super impressed. If YJ was that good, they wouldn't need go out of state for help. Kind of a deparation/cheating move.

If it was the same kid that showed up to tryouts for a few teams in Maryland, she is a very good player and makes them better. Most impactful is a sense she will help make YJ better and help them compete. If that’s what you meant, I would agree. However, word of caution before you get ahead of yourself, A bracket lacrosse is a lot different than the B level tournaments your DD traveled all the way to LI to play in. Also, can BoC re-open the LI 2029 page so the YJ parents can go back there to boast? We would like to go back to talking about teams who play in the top bracket of tournaments. 91 parents you can stick around.

Saw YJ play this fall was not impressed (other than 1 player). Also saw the true top 5 teams and was super impressed. If YJ was that good, they wouldn't need go out of state for help. Kind of a deparation/cheating move. Agreed. I've seen most of the top non-mid atlantic teams play. Lax 4 the Cure's top 2 brackets (8 teams) had some really good games. The only ones that could compete with M&D, Heros and Coppermine were NXT and 91 Roar. All the other teams are outside the top 5 including YJ, Eagle Stix, TG and Monster. YJ also had a girl from California in addition to the player from NC. They are still a great team but definitely outside the top 5 until they prove otherwise by playing 91 Roar, M&D, NXT, Coppermine and Heros.

91 parents you can stick around.[/quote]
Yes, her! She dominates the draw and is a scoring machine, haven't seen her stopped yet. Good luck MD folks!!

Your post is the same story you told all of us on the sideline during tryouts yet she didn’t make the top 3 teams in Maryland. Your daughter is a good player. For her sake, you should probably relax a little.

If Igloo Ice Storm and BLC are your big wins, buckle up for a rude awakening in the Spring.

If Igloo Ice Storm and BLC are your big wins, buckle up for a rude awakening in the Spring. The rub is that they won’t get a rude awakening. They are scared of competing with 91 Roar, so they hide from the NGLL all spring. And even if they did play in the league, they would sign up for B league. No, they will have to wait for the playoffs this summer in tournaments. Because they will be in the B and C brackets, win those, and then get smoked in the playoffs by the good teams they usually duck. They are the LI Ducks.

Just looked at ua150 roster for the first time since they added some more players and wow, just wow. How did all of these SWs kids get in there? Does UA think that SW is still a top club? The 29 blue team has maybe one kid who should make any all star circuit, the same stuff happened at AS last summer. They took all these SW girls and it was clear that they didn’t deserve it. There are like 6 SWs on the UA roster and team isn’t even top 30, complete joke.

They claim it is this big national draw but have only selected a handful of kids outside mid-atlantic. We're seeing the same kids at local tournaments turn up here. Are you telling me there's not one kid from New England that is deserving of a UA roster spot?

Are you telling me there's not one kid from New England that is deserving of a UA roster spot? It’s the first year for UA150 and BIC. It’s still “early” for these showcases as colleges aren’t looking at 29s. So I’m going to guess a lot of girls you are referencing, who deserve it, just didn’t apply. With that said we know several girls who did apply that were not picked. So it seems there was a decent application pool at the very least. These events will get harder and harder to get into the next few years.

There is a ton of the absolute best talent in the country on that list, but then you have 3d VA metro, m&d shore, and SW girls on there that simply do not belong. Those teams have showed that they obviously do not have all star level talent. No, there are not a lot of New England girls that should be on the list. The teams up there @ChillLaxin for 2029s, and I saw what Massachusetts had to offer at AS; no thanks. If this were done the right way, there would be more mid-atlantic girls. These all star deals always try to “grow the game,” so they pick kids from all over that don’t deserve being there. Some rando from FL no one has heard of here, some OR kid who plays for a club outside of top 100 there, and also some clubs, like SW, get credit they don’t deserve. Having more SW kids than coppermine and heros combined is hilarious. Kids who get cut from those two teams end up at SW.

There sure is an interesting correlation between selected players who also just happen to pay for regular training

Having more SW kids than coppermine and heros combined is hilarious. Kids who get cut from those two teams end up at SW. I have to disagree with this. You can't say that there's no talent in the entire region at the 29s and they have 2 top 10 teams at 28s. I watched MA play Long Island and the top MD team at AS. They definitely had some solid players and then a bunch of kids that didn't belong. The MA vs LI game was actually interesting. Remember LI needed a win to advance to the playoff. The 91 Roar girls started and went out to a big lead. Then they put the YJ girls in and MA stormed back. LI put the 91 girls back in and they took the lead back, ultimately winning 10-8. I wouldn't dismiss the entire region because they don't have the depth of MD and LI, they do have some players that we'll be seeing over the next several years. My original point was that taking 9-10 kids that pay for private training from lesser local clubs is a joke. I have to believe that there are at least 8-10 kids from MA and CT that can hang with what is being advertised as the top 150 kids across the country.

I do see what you are saying, and agree about the mid Atlantic girls not deserving the nod, but I have watched all of new england’s top teams and think 2029 just isn’t a strong class for that region. I watched the AS games too, and you are correct that they had a few decent players, but 9-10 at ua150 at this point is a stretch. Maybe when final list comes out, but not at this point. And I wouldn’t use MD Red from AS as a benchmark, the selection process for MD for AS was an absolute joke. That was not the best MD had to offer, many of the girls I am talking about with UA150 selection were also gifted spots on the AS rosters and it burned both of the teams. But fair points all the way around, will be interesting to see what final list looks like.

Fair point on the MD team. Lots of girls on Yellow should have made Red. It's also possible that similar things happened in other regions. I'm not saying MA deserves 8-10 kids at ua150, I was including CT in there as well when I mentioned New England. I honestly don't know how many of kids outside LI and Mid-Atlantic are applying to ua150 at the 29 level. We see greater development in 8th, 9th and 10th grades and ultimately more parity across the board. We're seeing it now with the 28s - some great games at Level 9 this year. I just think it's great for the kids to have opportunities to play with kids outside the region. It will all play itself out in the next few years. Lots of great lacrosse ahead of us.

Of course they are going to showcase their own girls, even if mediocre. None of the SW girls made AS last year. Well maybe 2 did?? If you are worried about this, suggest you apply for BIC, where at least its a somewhat independent evaluator.
