ah maaaaaaaan. Now I have to go to an old thread to rehash Express and 91 go back and forth about who has more holdbacks and roster size and awful parents..... Such a pain. Oh wait, I forgot fly-ins. Because club lacrosse teams are like school districts - er.....

I was there and that player/parents should be ashamed of themselves. What 14yo tells a mom on the opposing team to smd. This is not over.

I was there. I heard it. It did happen. Yes, not good no matter what. Players need to stay between the lines. Agreed. The player was benched the rest of game and for the final game. No excuse.
I am not sure why people would say "this is not over"?
However, parent behavior may be questionable. The parent jarred at the kid "stay down, b**ch" when he got knocked down along the sideline, during which an interference call was made. Just as proof I was there. The ref did not hear either comment or at least did not say anything to either party.
Also, the kid in question is and has been on this team only. He has never been on one of the other teams. This post is providing one sided/misleading and wrong information.

IF this is accurate: “ However, parent behavior may be questionable. The parent jarred at the kid "stay down, b**ch" when he got knocked down along the sideline, during which an interference call was made.”
If a Mom actually said this to a kid then I wouldn’t blame the kid for saying what he said.

Not condoning the response of the player…but if you’re a Dune Dawg or Frost parent…you know what was said…and you know who said it.
If you honestly believe that a 14 year old boy, full of adrenaline and hormones, in a rivalry game, who just took a cheap shot from behind…followed by a parent exclaiming “stay down b###h!”…to respond gracefully and with etiquette…has NEVER played a sport of competitive nature in their life.
Also…any parent who jumps onto a public forum, and refers to a 14 year old as a “POS”…is in fact a “POS” themselves…and is most likely the parent referred to above.

We're there lumberjax kids playing with the dune dawgs last sunday? The Dune Dawgs are an actual team - I know, shocking for many to believe! They have played together for a few years now. The product that happened on Sunday is because they are a hardworking team.

Was it that fool Igloo Frost team mom who gives team speeches and her husband openly tries to start fights with parents? If that was the one, this is not the first time they've tried to engage kids from the sideline.

When you have been there done that and you realize how unnecessary most of the time and money you wasted was, it is actually freeing. Most of you will realize this soon enough. So much time and money spent. It gets you nowhere!!!!! Now I do bare minimum because my kid likes to play and I sit back and watch the fool.

Heard this story last night...just don't understand parents. 2028 pole from Express (DB). Average defenseman-works hard, but he's average. parents are sending him to LUHI rather than have him head to SA as a 9th grader. So now, like his brother, who is admittedly very good, but also reclassed, so he SHOULD look amazing playing against kids that he's older than. Shame on his parents for doing this. Both were athletes in college, dad is an AD at SWR school district. Do they really need to do this, make their kid travel from out east to LUHI so he can appear better than he really is? Sad state of affairs when parents are the motivating factor behind this nonsense, and absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to respect them or the kid. Pathetic. For what? To go to a D! school for lax? Guess what? All those D1 grads who played at top schools (including my older brother who played/graduated from Penn State) are all working stiffs just like the rest of us. Embarassing.

Who cares what and who you or anyone else respect. This is their decision and you are a lunatic for calling a specific person/family out on this forum. That is why you and most haters of reclasses who troll this site will be "working stiffs" the rest of your lives. Get off this thread-you should be ashamed of yourself.

A grown adult calling a kid out directly and doing it anonymously? Coward. Put your own name on it if you feel so strongly.

What you did above is completely wrong. You are talking about a very nice, hard working family. Some people have different views on this topic and it is their opinion. Next time keep your mouth shut. If you have a problem, I am sure the parents would love to have a conversation with you. Sign your name and club next time or just keep being a keyboard tough guy

There’s plenty of successful D1 Grads. What is this clown talking about? Sounds like he has baby brother issues and he’s also jealous of his successful SWR neighbors.

Chill out people. Reclassing on LI is the least of your problems. The kids from other states is where it gets out of hand. Until college coaches reject this nothing will change so don’t hold your breath

It used to be that lacrosse was an avenue to direct a child to a school that was a reach academically. Im sure that is still the case for some but less so now a days. I have a hard time understanding the commitments to lesser academic schools for the sake of lacrosse. The return on investment is negative at that point. if u are going to hold your kid back for lacrosse (and i have no judgment here), you better be darn sure you are going to get them a good education, because lets be clear, no one cares after they graduate except a few jock sniffers. They are on their own.

The player was punished for this interaction, what was the punishment for the parent? Is the club team going to take control of their sidelines? This parent is still going to be allowed to sit on the sidelines of future games?
