LegRush. When merging two teams the coaches are put in difficult positions. Politics play a big role. Players who didn’t make the top team should look to supplemental tryouts. is this merge for all grade levels? I can't find anything about it anywhere.

Clearly someone needs to be talking about this team. I bought my son to the tryout and inquired why there were so few blue 91 helmets. I was told by a parent on Venom that Surge is the Hills PAL team and they don’t have to try out. No thank you! PAL talent for that cost!?? I’ll pass. Surge parent here. Definitely NOT the case, and honestly very sad to hear that the venom parents would say this. We should be one club supporting each other. My son is not from hills and most of the team is definitely not from hills. The boys who are from hills deserve to be there and yes, like MANY OTHER TEAMS on LI who have a HS coach also coaching club teams (or daddy ball where a friend gets to play more than they maybe deserve), they like to stick with the coach who will also coach them at the HS level where it truly matters. BOTC needs a like button. Hop off Surge. Good team, great people and can’t wait to see how they continue to thrive over the next few years. Thrive?

Unfortunately there are some really sick people out there who are too involved and lose sleep at night over youth lax. People try to change perception to suit their story as it eventually becomes reality.

This year they merged only the 28 year…the first team picked up some players, the second team all has the coaches sons on the team and also some average players. If you go to a certain districts, you were selected.

Stop being a good supportive parent who is invested in their child’s future. No place for that on BOTC. Talk about surge and how bad they are or how much the legacy merger was a disaster. Or maybe talk about the kool aide 91 parents drink or the horrible express black and orange ordeal was this last year. Or better yet, stick with the reliable and badmouth the rebels.

I agree with this fool dad who just wants to enjoy his kid playing high school lacrosse. It'll be over before you know it. I have always enjoyed coaching all 4 of my kids sports and one by one, the time for me to step aside comes and it's difficult. Not because I think I can coach better than their school coaches, but because I just always loved coaching them (and because I thought I was pretty good). I rarely come on here, but some comments are toxic-just enjoy it before they get too old.
