This actually isn't true at all. My older son had several D1 offers that can be directly attributed to playing in the Nassau-Suffolk game a couple of years ago. He didn't play for Igloo and I don't think anyone on his team did.

Be wary of parents whose kids aren't good enough to make these all-star game talking smack about them to make themselves feel better about it.

Keep telling yourself that. Deep down you know the connections you have are the reason why

Sorry to burst your bubble. I don't have any connections and my older son didn't play on as good of a team as my 2027 does. He made the Top 25 and played very well in front of a bunch of coaches. Well, the Lax Black 2027 16-17 year old reclass and double reclass team is out of NLF. Put out by a bunch of 15 year olds from Colorado. Machine vs. Kings… a rare on-age final. Refreshing.

Machine beat Kings at the WS in OT. That Kings team is now 2028 and in MD this weekend, FACT. The tram Machine is playing today was the Kings 2026 team. Not one player born in 2009 on the roster. So we may need to refine what folks from CO and the western states consider on age. Machine by 5.

Lax Black and Kings are the most egregious with the reclasses. Most of the best teams in 2027 have at least a few, but Lax Black and Kings seem to have only a few who aren’t reclasses and a few who might be doubles. Kings vs 91 Machine was men vs boys, but the boys can play.

Hey bud, next time fact check before you post stuff trying to make your kid look better. 2027 kings has a grand total of TWO reclass. These two kids are born in June and July of 08 meaning they both have just this summer turned 16. No double reclasses, no grown men, and a hand full of kids that are still 14. Win with class next time especially after only winning on a @ChillLaxin goal. 😘

You are hilarious. Kings has ZERO reclasses. Not even one. The earliest birthday is June 2008. It’s not a thing in Colorado. Bet you Machine has at least one reclass - which would be 1 more than Kings.

I do remember most of the Kings from World Series a couple years back. As I recall, Kings and 91 LI were the only club teams there that weren’t team Mass or team PA. Glad we finally won NLF and that Kings knocked off Laxachusetts - a team that requires reclassing to make their black teams (yellow are the on age kids that refuse to reclass). Good game between two of the only on-age teams left at 2027 with BBL, Leading Edge, Sweetlax and Lax Black already embracing and even requiring reclass. Could have gone either way.

The Kings team that played yesterday is almost identical to the World Series team. They have added 3 kids since that team. Rosters are still out there…do some googling.

No one reclasses in Colorado, come on man. Look at the Kings dads…some big guys. Look at the Machine dads…little guys. And it’s reflected on the field. Stop making excuses for your lack of genetics!

Reclassing in Colorado isn’t a thing yet. Kids actually stay with their friends in school and have a normal life rather than holding back at a prep school like they do out east. Kings 2026 has no reclasses at all. The 2 “reclasses” for the 2027s are June/July 2008 birthdays who could have gone either way (young for 2026 or old for 2027) and the 2028 Kings are on age as well. If Kings actually reclassed like Lax Black their 2027, 2028 and 2029 teams would win NLF handily. Imagine the 2027 team that played Machine being in the 2028 division…and their 2026s who went 4-1 and beat Hawks being in 2027…it would be a bloodbath. How about giving credit where is is due that a team from out west has some great skilled players.

And by the way, how about 91 Orange Storm, made up of of almost entirely reclasses from Florida, Carolina and other states. Hardly a starter from LI. A handful of former Florida Stealth 2025s, including its prized horse #7. Same with Shock. Give me a break on the LI on age talk. Hello pot, this is the kettle calling…

So apparently it's now ok for " local " long island teams to have kids from Georgia and Florida playing with them ? At what point is it going to be called " team 91 machine national ". Facts are facts and it's indisputable that 91 2027 machine has at least two kids from Georgia on their team . Let's not get started with their 2026 storm team , about half of that team is from Florida . So at what point are teams national teams now since this is the new normal. Always knew 91 was garbage but this is even low for them

Well, as said above the team from NLF was basically the World Series team, so THEY ARE on age. The entire current Kings team would be able to play under the new NLF Age Verification rules. You got any other @ChillLaxin you want to try and bring up to take away from what a group of kids from Denver have accomplished?

Kings parents need to cut it out First line midis 6-7-88 we’re not on WS team. It is a fact that most of the so-called WS team is on the 28 team. How do we know that, because a parent on that team verified it. We can also go back to WS and compare names. You may not reclass kids but you certainly hold them back early on.

Fact? Are u delusional? This 2027 Kings team has been together since 3rd grade. No one regraded to 2028. There are no reclasses on 2028 either. #6 and #88 have been with the squad since 3rd grade. #7 is one of the three players who joined since the World Series. Give it a rest.

If your son is born in June or July of 2008, in NY, your son would be a 26 so maybe that's why parents are calling them out.

Almost every team in 2027 has at least a couple kids with summer 08 birthdays. Several have kids with early 08 and even 07 birthdays. They’re all rising sophomores. The days of complaining about reclasses are over for this age group.

91 machine won NLF. They have very few if any holdbacks. To get to the championship, they beat teams with lots of holdbacks. Having holdbacks doesn’t matter.

Not sure about that. According to the PSAL, A student shall be eligible for varsity competition in grades 9, 10, 11 and 12 until his/her 19th birthday. A student who attains the age of 19 on or after July 1 may continue to participate during that school year in all varsity sports.

This means Suffolk county is more aggressive in allowing older kids to play high school sports than any other county in the US.

Face it, 91 has become a regional reclass organization. Whatever it takes to keep up the brand. Just stop acting like 91 is a bunch of on age boys from Long Island. Used to be the case. Very few competitive local and on age teams left. Too many adult egos involved.

A couple things on 91 Machine...

I saw them at NLF and will say that they look on age. They have a couple big kids, but for the most part look pretty young. At least one still has braces.

That said, Machine had a pretty easy path to the championship. They were given a cupcake pool play schedule, and then drew Crabs in quarters and Leading Edge in the semis. Neither of those teams have beaten anyone of significance all year, and Machine beat them both by one goal. I think the Kings were worn down by the time they made it to the final, but still have to credit Machine with taking them down for the championship.

I was surprised to see that Machine got shelled by Next Level at the LISS yesterday. Maybe they had just run out of gas.

Best win of the tourney was Kings taking down Lax Black 16-17 year olds 8-5 in the semis of NLF. That team was 34-0 through the fall and summer. Bet Machine was glad they didn’t have to face them in the final.

Will the national teams we see in the summer dip out in the Fall and Spring? I noticed at Pinnacle there were a lot of club teams playing national teams and national teams winning. How does that skew club team rankings? It almost feels like there should be two categories for rankings.

No. They are firmly established as playing the best tournaments with the most eyes. It's not that difficult to discern between a national team and a local team when it comes to ranking. A team like Machine loses most of their games to the big nationals and wins almost of their games against teams like Next Level but will lose one from time to time.

I would think an OT goal in the championship game would be “best win of the tournament”

Just watched the WS Semi OT game and the NLF Final OT Game, obviously the better team won! One player got smoked on the same play 2 years later! Top midi line for the Kings didnt exist at the WS. Interesting how they claim to be the same team

A rising freshman doesnt need to do anything. Though figuring out your path in to Showtim, Main Stage and Juniors for next year should be your focus. Do some prospect days and go see some campuses if anything. Not the end of the world to do OnePercent and an inside Lacrosse event to get on the rankings radar. If anything i recommend analyzing what your club is going to bring to you next year and where your player stands…..and when all said and done be sure you have the grades this year. Remember, lacrosse is important but school is importanter. No grades you better be 5 stars and top HS and club team……and if you were you wouldn’t be asking which Showcases wink

Thank you for the candid feedback. How about Best In Class for rising frosh?

I see that IL posted some evaluations from BIC, but only for a small portion of the players that attended. I know college coaches won't be there for the rising frosh, trying to determine if there's value in the training and IL eyeballs.

They also offer a position-specific session for an additional charge at BIC. Any reviews of that session?

Thanks.
