Igloo taken out by both BBL Black and Orange Crush today at Primetime. First two losses of the summer for them?

They get paid, and their kids play for free. Just like referees and like any other paid professional, you have a job to do, and the expectation is you will do it to the best of your ability. If not, then don't accept the role, and let someone else who is willing to put forth the time and effort handle it. There is no excuse to show up and just go through the motions, or not play kids. When you accept a job, like coaching, own it, and make it your duty to develop kids. Don't tell me it nets $15 an hour, tell me you care and show up to make kids better players and more importantly better people. The Igloo coach was fired because he only cared about winning, in his dismissal email, that's what he told parents, unfortunately in 4th grade, it's not about winning. He deserved to be fired, and should never coach youth sports again. Guess you don’t care. You’re certainly not coaching. Just talking big and dogging people under the cover of anonymity. Be bold, be brave, say it to his face like a man!

And one of those players will be irrelevant once puberty and contact starts to play out. But also agree Yetis days are numbered. Most of their parents are clueless so they won’t understand.

To the last few people who posted comments about Igloo:
Are you ok??
Guessing you’re all 45-ish year old parents overly-invested in 10yo boys lacrosse.
Does it make you feel good to write anonymous posts criticizing / making fun of 10 year olds playing sports? And their coaches?
Is this really where you are in life? Nothing better to do? Take a look in the mirror before you touch the key board again. You like that look?
They’re kids. They have good weekends and ok weekends. It’s the parents that have problems

They have no clues. Zero clues. 91 parents have every clue. So jealous of all the clues they have. Lucky!

Igloo already lost one of their best players to 91 last summer. They definitely have more than 2 good players left but they will continue to lose their top talent to 91.

Let's think about this for a sec, Ted. Why would somebody put a guarantee on a kid? Hmmm, very interesting. Here's the way I see it, Ted. Guy puts a fancy guarantee on a kid 'cause he wants you to feel all warm and toasty inside. Course it does. Why shouldn't it? Ya figure you put that little box under your pillow at night, the Guarantee Fairy might come by and leave a quarter, am I right, Ted?”
There are no guarantees, and things change drastically between now and HS. Enjoy the moment with your little peanut.

10 year old lacrosse is irrelevant, come back in 5 years - align your kid with a national program with a strong track record, focused on training all phases of the game.

I would like to give a shout out to the “Classy” Rebels Arrows and Rebels organization. Pre- requisite to join is you must have to be trashy. The whole organization should be ashamed of them selves. Parents, specifically one saying the (F word) these kids as they are cheering their siblings on. Lastly threatening to break another parents jaw. Not the first run in with that orginization and @ChillLaxin will stay with @ChillLaxin. Good luck in the future. Great example for the kids. @ChillLaxin……

Could not agree more with this, these people are out of control. They have no context as to where they are. You are watching your 9-10 year old sons play lacrosse, Duke, Notre Dame, UNC are not there, act respectful and enjoy the game, if there is an issue handle it respectfully. Your kids will win and lose a ton of games during their time playing. Acting like an animal will only make them want to stop playing due to you embarrassing them, your kid will not remember losing that game, they will remember you drunk screaming behind them as they were trying to play and who knows maybe when they gave up a goal it was because they had their eyes on you instead of what was happening on the field. I am sure you had a pleasant car ride home after that game. Grow up, stop getting drunk on the sidelines and stop acting like slobs. Cursing at kids, cursing at parents, lying to tournament directors about what occurred to paint yourself in a better light will never work.

This is the excuse for Dads whose kids can’t play. Have older boys, the good players at 9/10 are the good players at 17/18, as long as they continue to work. Everyone goes through puberty Dad. Even the great players. Shhhh! Don’t tell anyone. It’s a secret.

The Alliance. I am surprised how long it took for somebody to create something to compete with the NLF. In my opinion, an Alliance team or NLF team does bring different opportunities.

National programs exist on LI. Speaking from experience with my older kids. Half of the HS rosters on “Long Island” travel teams are made up from kids from so many different states.
