S2S beat prime time 3x in a week? They beat stealth 2x in 2 weeks. Igloo never had the lead against Shore. Those guys can yell at their kids—one kid was nearly thrown into the game by his shoulder pads. Strange way to treat a kid. Igloo coach yelling at his team in a Time out “why can’t we win FOs,” priceless! After the game a igloo coach was still lacing into a kid on the sideline preventing the walk to his goalie.
Just reported facts as they happened. How does someone saying Igloo’s offense was flat discredit S2S’s win?!
S2S played amazing and on both ends of the game. And, yes, Igloo’s offense looked flat all five games. They are consistently scoring double digits this tournament season and didn’t this past weekend. So yes, something looked off.
But hats off to S2S they deserved the Chip, they were on point this weekend and are a top team for others to be worried about. 11 year old boys have an “off weekend” with scoring and parents run to chirp in anonymous forums. Sigh. S2S enjoy the W, they earned it. Igloo ran out of steam this weekend. 4 chip appearances in 4 tourneys and a bunch of adults run to forums to take shots at kids and coaches when they lose 5-3. People need to get a life. News flash — none of this matters by next week.

Any feedback on which programs have the best developmental teams for this age group? Don't want to be a Debbie downer but if your kid needs development by this age I would recommend pal. Most clubs are focusing on competing at this point so the B and C teams are just money grabs because they will never get as much attention as their A team.

Both teams needed this. Armada finally gets a chip and soldiers get a nice motivational loss leading into the next.

And Debbie downer guy, congrats on peaking in Highschool and living vicariously through your kids.

They also run a monthly program that offers clinics all week long at a good rate. Its at the All Island Sportsplex.

RECON was also great for development, but they've now merged with True Long Island. It may stay the same?

My son is interested in a few clubs. I've heard of private evaluations/kids joining a practice. Shore actually has a private eval mention on website. Is this an option ahead of tryouts to get a better sense of the team and how he could potentially fit?Want to reach out and ask but don't want to be pushy if this isn't commonplace.

It definitely happens and is an option. Being an advocate for your child, isn’t being pushy. A parent can call the coach to see if it’s possible for their child to come and check out the team during a regular practice. That said, all of the top teams are preparing for big tournaments along the east coast and may not want to entertain checking out a player when they’re getting ready to face tough competition.

SweetLax Florida took care of Madlax and Rebels. A.L.L looks like a strong competitor to NLF, with S2S, Igloo, 2Way, and Towermen heading south. SweetLax Navy, Next Level, and Dukes will be there as well. Should be some great 2031 lacrosse.

Sweetlax Navy is a national team. How does the NLF allow national teams to compete for the “Club” championship? This doesn’t seem like a fair playing field for other teams who are club based I.e. Hawks/Express

Hawks/Express Sweetlax Navy is a national team of a national team. It includes Sweetlax Florida which is itself a national team made up of clubs from Stealth in South Florida to Sarasota, Tampa and St Johns County w a substantial number of out-staters.

So it is fair to say the previous cheat post was correct. Not a true club team and more of a national team with kids from all over the country. The pounding of one’s chest on here from sweetlax is in that case an embarrassment. Especially at 5th grade, or in some sweetlax cases 7th grade but on repeat twice.
