S2S played amazing and on both ends of the game. And, yes, Igloo’s offense looked flat all five games. They are consistently scoring double digits this tournament season and didn’t this past weekend. So yes, something looked off.

But hats off to S2S they deserved the Chip, they were on point this weekend and are a top team for others to be worried about.

11 year old boys have an “off weekend” with scoring and parents run to chirp in anonymous forums. Sigh. S2S enjoy the W, they earned it. Igloo ran out of steam this weekend. 4 chip appearances in 4 tourneys and a bunch of adults run to forums to take shots at kids and coaches when they lose 5-3. People need to get a life.

News flash — none of this matters by next week.

Don't want to be a Debbie downer but if your kid needs development by this age I would recommend pal. Most clubs are focusing on competing at this point so the B and C teams are just money grabs because they will never get as much attention as their A team.

Both teams needed this. Armada finally gets a chip and soldiers get a nice motivational loss leading into the next.

Thanks for supporting my question. And Debbie downer guy, congrats on peaking in Highschool and living vicariously through your kids.

Rebels do a great job w younger players. They also run a monthly program that offers clinics all week long at a good rate. Its at the All Island Sportsplex.

RECON was also great for development, but they've now merged with True Long Island. It may stay the same?

My son is interested in a few clubs. I've heard of private evaluations/kids joining a practice. Shore actually has a private eval mention on website. Is this an option ahead of tryouts to get a better sense of the team and how he could potentially fit?Want to reach out and ask but don't want to be pushy if this isn't commonplace.

It definitely happens and is an option. Being an advocate for your child, isn’t being pushy.
A parent can call the coach to see if it’s possible for their child to come and check out the team during a regular practice. That said, all of the top teams are preparing for big tournaments along the east coast and may not want to entertain checking out a player when they’re getting ready to face tough competition.

SweetLax Florida took care of Madlax and Rebels. A.L.L looks like a strong competitor to NLF, with S2S, Igloo, 2Way, and Towermen heading south. SweetLax Navy, Next Level, and Dukes will be there as well. Should be some great 2031 lacrosse.

Sweetlax Navy is a national team. How does the NLF allow national teams to compete for the “Club” championship? This doesn’t seem like a fair playing field for other teams who are club based I.e. Hawks/Express

Sweetlax Navy is a national team of a national team. It includes Sweetlax Florida which is itself a national team made up of clubs from Stealth in South Florida to Sarasota, Tampa and St Johns County w a substantial number of out-staters.

So it is fair to say the previous cheat post was correct. Not a true club team and more of a national team with kids from all over the country. The pounding of one’s chest on here from sweetlax is in that case an embarrassment. Especially at 5th grade, or in some sweetlax cases 7th grade but on repeat twice.

Igloo dominates the Big Time Shootout. Some great competitive games with top club teams in the country. Let the top 10 club debate (not national teams) begin:

1. Madlax
2. igloo
3. Next level
4. Crabs
5. Towermen
6. Sweetlax Florida
7. Laxachusetts
8. Rebels
9. 2 way
10. Annapolis

I would say pretty spot on

1. Madlax (Top Dog, but teams are chomping at bit)
2. Igloo (Too inconcistent to be one w/ losses to S2S, 1 Goal win over Rhinos ,etc.)
3. Sweetlax Florida (Very good, more of a national team)
4. Rebels (Inconsistent w/ Wins over almost all on this list, but losses to some off)
5. Next Level (Havent played enough top comp)
6. Laxx Black (Solid, but cant seem to win the BIG game)
7. Towermen (Very up and coming, but have also gotten blown out)
8. 2 Way (Seems to have stalled a bit)
9. Crabs (Need to see more)
10. Hawks (Need. to see more)

If you can be on any of these ten teams, you are in a good situation.

Think a bunch of these groups are interchangeable especially on given weekends. But this might be the best top 10 I have seen yet. Actually the true top 10.

Wouldn’t say Igloo too inconsistent because of one loss to S2S and a close game vs Rhinos. The game vs Rhinos was classic 11 year olds walking into a game thinking it’s in the bag against an 0-3 team that got blown out the day before. Something to fix, yup. But every one of these teams has losses like that so saying Igloo is too inconsistent vs others on this list… they’ve been in 5 chip games in 5 tourneys…

pretty spot on. Madlax has beaten igloo. Igloo dominated this weekend and are in the mix every weekend. These two have separated themselves from the pack.

towermen is unique. Not a brand name. Only have a 26 team and are starting teams at lower levels. beat sweetlax florida in the semis this weekend and last summer, beat 2way last two tourneys and split with next level at great 8. Haven’t played enough.

Mad dog west probably needs a mention.

Don’t sleep on 2way. Haven’t had the best summer but played igloo the best of all teams this weekend minus rhinos who probably brought in 29s to play

This forum feels like it is run by Igloo parents. Igloo is fine, but let’s be honest, they aren’t that good. Def not #2. Rankings start next fall for this group, safe to say the board won’t look anything like the above when it is released by USCLR.

Lol ratings started this year and Igloo doing just fine there already. Sounds like sour grapes

It’s the sour parents that can’t handle when teams work harder and it shows. If a team does better than their son’s, they come on here and put down young kids and their coaches. Pathetic. Teams are rated so if you knew anything about club lacrosse, you’d know. They’re more ratings than rankings but are fair and based on wins and loses. Do some research and you’ll find it. Teams on LI with strongest rankings/ratings are Rebels Stealth and Igloo Winter Soldiers. S2S and Chucks have decent numbers too and aren’t far behind.

I mean doesn’t matter what team you are on and I’m not an igloo parent but I’m sure someone who doesn’t like igloo will say I am, results don’t lie.

anyone who logically looks at how teams have played if you’ve had the chance to see them in-person or head to head on the USCL.com can see that this is spot on when you remove the national teams.

Maybe some teams will fall apart but for now this is the top ten and where they fall in that top ten is up for healthy debate. But doesn’t really matter where they are in comparison to each other, good for these teams for being where they are at this moment in time. Quite an accomplishments

Can’t argue with much of this , Igloo, Madlax and Sweetlax Fl should be top 3. After that you can debate, Towermen, 2Way, Next Level, Rebels, Lax Black. Probably another small notch down Dukes, HHH, PT, Express, S2S, 91, BBL Black. Either way this age group seems to be way more balanced than older ones.

Rankings come out in 6th grade US Club Lax. For now all teams who have played games are listed alphabetically but there are no actual rankings.

Next fall after the first few weeks they will publish.

Rankings don’t mean much to most. But as you get older it’s important as you will want to be included in tourneys and your reputation will help your team gain visibility.
