GSB lax-good program? Don't know anything about them, but looking elsewhere for next season. Thanks. GSB white team is good. Their blue team not so much. Have been hearing that GSB is looking for players to finish out the year with their blue team because they don't have enough players.

Can someone explain express? 2 moms complaining at Mitchell field. Black team, black/orange team. Some black team don’t play but can play with orange? They seemed confused. Orange team more like B team, some kids don’t show up? Some kids in orange show up to black but don’t play? Seems like a hot mess. Both walked away wondering why they’re paying $4500 for their sons to stand in black sideline or play for a @ChillLaxin orange cream. Felt bad for them. Neither of them liked the dad, seem to like the son. They were sitting in front of me in stands, very interesting listening to them. The last topic was reclasses. Something about bringing in 2-4 reclassed kids? Assuming that means they are a year older? How much time do you have?

Oh, you just happened to be sitting by two moms talking about express having a black and orange team???? Oh the drama. The dead giveaway was the “what’s this reclassing business about”. Yeah, you showed up to this message hoard to ask that question. Listen Venom dad. You got pasted. Deal with it.

I love the confidence! But you’re wrong. I have a 28 player, different program. Not a lax guy, new to the thread, still learning the lingo (hoco, reclass). My wife was the lax parent but after she passed it fell to me. Just trying to find out/learn about the different programs available as he would like to play for a better program next year. All I know is that these 2 moms had a lot of complaints.

I guess 91 spreading out to MD and other reclass hotbeds making the LI parents a bit nervous of falling behind. 2029 class wasn’t particularly strong but will be now.

LI Lax Showcase had multiple 91 coaches as well as Express. Many deserving kids cut that play on the wrong teams in favor of the top 2 clubs lesser AA to B team players. Don’t be surprised if the future money stops flowing in as the LI showcase/Excelsior Games have become so political. My kid was not there. You know who the players are from watching them for years and some of the cuts and the kids that made it are shocking. If you want to take people’s money the coaches should be Independent of the clubs.

Couple years ago thought by 7th 8th grade teams would be settled for the most part. But this year it seems there will be plenty of movement as parents try to find a better fit for their kids. Long Island is so watered down sad to watch. Now let’s see how the reclassing changes the landscape.

First off Rebels are horrendous, not worthy of a post.
Second, Surge Coach is the Suffolk coach but he cut players from Surge and from his Hills program. So if people think it’s rigged it’s merely sour grapes.
Third, Nassau will win by 9 so it’s really not a big deal.
Fourth, this is 8th grade, nobody cares!

Please tell me this is a troll attempt, I feel bad for the parents and kids that were duped AGAIN by the rebels trying to field a AA team, 3 teams in an age group and they have 14 kids on their AA team 2 weeks in a row. They lost to frost this week and get beaten bad in their other games. There are so many stories from rebels parents about unfulfilled promises, it’s good to see karma getting back at them, long story short, if you’re kid is looking to play AA next year go anywhere else

Rebels run a good organization. This group fell apart when Smithtown West varsity coach left. They had a solid team last year that could at least compete but many of their starters went to Venom, Express and Legacy. There has to be something up if they only have 13/14 kids at a tournament in an age group that they field 3 teams. We played them again this weekend and there is only a handful of kids that can play at the higher levels. They do have a legit goalie but he did not play against us. Coaches and organization can only do so much if the kids and parents dont commit. I do feel bad for the kids they had out there.

I am a parent on that team too and it hasn't been a very fun year. Losing our better players really hurt us. We're looking into other clubs for next season. I think the best options besides Venom and Chucks, are Legacy, which will be a struggle for field time since their merging with Rush, S2S, and Surge. BTB took a step back and I'm not sure what to make of igloo. Any insight would be very helpful. thank you in advance

BTB took a step back and I'm not sure what to make of igloo. Any insight would be very helpful. thank you in advance I’ll give you the best insight I can as I have friends who have kids on most teams. The first thing is going to be an incoming of out of state and holdbacks to 91 and Express for HS I’ll do them in my anticipated power ratings for next year Express - they’ll be the top draw for the chucks black team but buyer beware, confirm how many are accepted onto the team so they don’t pull the same shenanigans as last year, welcome you’re invited to the chucks, you and 70 others, I had friends invited to the “chucks” that couldn’t make any other aa teams and it made more sense when the truth came out 91 Venom - it will be interesting to the see the movement between 91 and express this year, either way they’ll be a top squad Legrush AA - top legacy and rush kids with many others coming to try out, it should be a top team S2s - seems to be struggling lately 91 Surge - good core players, but will struggle vs top teams Igloo Northmen - seems to have been doing better lately, very large roster Legrush A - if they can retain most with some new faces they should be competitive, just not be top teams Btb- has also been struggling lately, but I know they’re looking for some upgrades , they’ll put lots of work in Gsb - some talented kids, lots of training Igloo frost - tons of work put into this team True Blue - some talented kids, can they draw some new kids and retain the better kids? ECE - decent squad for south Suffolk Rebels - sinking ship in aa 2028 True Long Island - a simple google search will tell you how terrible this company is, avoid at all costs
