91 Venmo!!! Hahaahahahaha!!! Anyone laughing at that team has a few screws loose or are probably an ex-player parent or maybe currently on express. At least venom uses the kids on their roster. Not saying that won’t change in the future but geez, the jealousy runs deep. So you are bragging they currently use their own players but in the future probably won’t, ok. Way to set the bar high, lol.

It will even out. Those older kids beating up on little kids aren't going to be ready to play kids older than them when they get to varsity. Wakeup call coming. They can play JV for 2 more years! When they get to Varsity they will be 18-19 years old. They’ll never have to play older kids in high school.

Venom Coaches already reaching out to mid fielders and F/O guys from other clubs. What's wrong? Can't develop within?

Venom Coaches already reaching out to mid fielders and F/O guys from other clubs. What's wrong? Can't develop within? This is the age where developing within doesn’t work. Many players have already hit their ceiling in terms of development. You can’t teach IQ, aggression, work ethic, etc. 91/Express deal in the top tier players at the high school level, not the kids who stopped developing despite practing 3x a week for the past 7 years.

I know nothing about the coaches but I will tell you they are by far the best “second” team on the island. Maybe a parent of a player will chime in.

The problem with travel lacrosse are guys like this that chase every shiny new object rather than developing kids. Kids all develop at different times. Luckily some teams still coach and develop kids.

We played Surge last month on Mother's Day, and they're pretty good. They played our Shore team to a 1 goal game. After Express and Venom, I think Shore is the next best team and then it's wide open. I'm curious to see what happens to Legrush, I'm sure they'll have a good AA team. Igloooooo, BTB, Rebels, are all heading in the wrong direction. Should be an interesting tryouts.

Trying to figure out some teams to tryout for this summer. My sons team is falling apart. We used to be AA and it feels like were a B now. Any suggestions? Not Express or Venom, he wouldn't see the field on those teams. I hear Legacy and rush are merging, so I'm sure it'll be pretty crowded over there

Can someone explain express? 2 moms complaining at Mitchell field. Black team, black/orange team. Some black team don’t play but can play with orange? They seemed confused. Orange team more like B team, some kids don’t show up? Some kids in orange show up to black but don’t play? Seems like a hot mess. Both walked away wondering why they’re paying $4500 for their sons to stand in black sideline or play for a @ChillLaxin orange cream. Felt bad for them. Neither of them liked the dad, seem to like the son. They were sitting in front of me in stands, very interesting listening to them. The last topic was reclasses. Something about bringing in 2-4 reclassed kids? Assuming that means they are a year older?

You're wrong. The best athletes at younger ages most likely will be the best athletes once puberty kicks in for all. Ages 12-14 generally you see the bigger kids who have started puberty shine. Those kids also have to be decent players and when they have the size advantage due to puberty or being held back (or a combo) they are just too big and fast for those who have not to compete with. Most likely 16/17 the better athletes from younger ages will return to being the best players again. Middle school success has alot to do with size and speed.

I'm an Express parent, and my son plays on the orange team. In the fall it was a complete disaster. Kids were showing up to every tournament and I felt like the organization was trying to figure out all the new kids and who was going to play for black and who wasn't. I've expressed my frustration with the coaches and the promised me it would get better. It hasn't, and let this be a warning to anyone thinking about joining next season. Buyer beware. Time to find a new team.
