Springfield Delco beats Upper Darby and you reference that? Okay Delco Dad Lol Springfield Dad…you got roasted by Spalding, who MIGHT go .500 this year. Keep at it. #staypublic While it's still early in the season, you might want to take a look at the PIAA District 1 rankings... https://www.piaad1.org/sports/spring-sports/lacrosse-b/scores-and-rankings/

What’s the point of holdbacks playing older holdbacks and claiming it is high school lacrosse? It’s kind of a joke. Yes, they are all great players but they should all be in college. And you will be watching them on tv Memorial Day weekend, still calling them holdbacks. Still complaining that little Johnny would have been a star if it weren’t for the holdbacks. Get back in your pickup truck and go for a ride…you will feel better! I hope they are playing on Memorial Day weekend. I wonder if you will still be sniffing the jocks of 20 year high schoolers at that time. Strange obsession. There is nothing wrong with stating the obvious that these kids are much older. have those same kids play a group of college juniors and tell me it is fair.

Lawrenceville is a prep school which means many of their players have already graduated from high school and many of them were already hold backs. Malvern had players that were 3 years younger on the field even though their team is mostly holdbacks. Does it really matter? Big deal. They lost to the top team in the country. Is the expectation that Malvern win every game? Not a malvern guy. I actually greatly dislike Malvern. But come on... let's have some realistic expectations here. Had they figured out and executed on the clear early in the game or came in with a proper game plan to clear the ball against that exceptional Lawrenceville ride, they very could have won; however, that didn't happen. Lawrenceville showed why they are the team to beat nationally. Good luck to both teams the rest of the season Fair analysis. Don't always get that on here. Thank you

The Central is obviously the top league in PA for lacrosse, especially this year. However the Chesmont loses so many players to the Interac and other schools you could make an argument that would be the toughest league in PA. Thoughts?

It would seem like the player losses in Central league have to be just as bad if not worse.

The Chesmont is down this year. Outside of D East, they don’t have a team that would finish in the top half of the Central. Radnor, Springfield, Garnet Valley, Marple, Stoga, and Penncrest would beat everyone else in the Chesmont.

The Inter-ac line setter is doing a pretty good job. 2 of the 3 games were spot on. Seems like PC is up and down. He'll have to keep that in mind for Friday night's line.

Yawn... Shanahan shouldn't be in the Chesmont. They should be with the rest of the recruiting schools in the Inter-AC where they would be the whipping boys

Shanahan does not give scholarships and are about half the size of the chesmont schools.. They are like Pope John Paul or Cardinal O'Hara. They would still not finish in the top half of the central as one poster noted.

Interac dad can feel safe knowing his $50k tuition is well spent being in the overall top league…you may return to your Range Rover, Helly Hansen jacket, and Maui Jim’s all while sipping your Stateside out of your Yeti knowing it’s all worth it

I agree they have a wider potential base but they would a parent pay $12k to play lacrosse?

The point is to clarify where the PA leagues stand this year. Inter Ac is at the top obviously. the top half central league is up, Stoga is in the bottom half of the central league (a far fall from their 2 or 3 year championship run starting in 2010) and the ches mont is down this year. Central league is the best PA public school league this year, Cheers!

Malvern and Haverford gobbled up a ton of kids from the West Chester -Paoli area in the 24 and 25 classes. Too bad 85% of them are sitting on the bench and might get a few runs their senior year in a blow out.

Other than that kids/parents will pay the money for Interac coaching and connections. The Chesmont is completely devoid of any good coaching and lose tons of kids to privates.

Radnor and Springfield may be two of the top public HS teams in the country. Marple is not far behind them. They are a very talented team. Marple is improving. They have never been right behind Radnor or Springfield. Yeah, guess you were right. Seems Marple is ahead of Radnor
