What the heck are we arguing about here? Why does any of this matter?
Find the RIGHT school for YOUR kid. It doesn't matter what division it is unless YOUR ego requires that your son play D1 so you can tell all your buddies about it.
Lacrosse should be used as a hammerhead by our kids to maybe get into a slightly better school than they could otherwise and MAYBE get a little money to make it more affordable. If you think otherwise you've let the industrial youth sports complex fry your brain.

So 1 scrimmage and nothing to indicate if it was a complete blowout or close. Hardly the poster’s claim of a bunch of scrimmages where D-3 was evenly matched with D-1. Just more fantasy nonsense on here, just like the people who claim club is on par with D-1. It’s just silly

What happened to Long Beach? They used to be competitive back in the day. The previous (not current one) youth director had way too much influence on the HS program. They kept all their players from playing on top clubs they had every one stay with the town team They called it TOC ( town over club) The former youth director and his eldest son ran the summer program. Stunted the program's growth. They should turn it around in couple of years.

The old varsity coach was able to retain and keep all if not most of those kids from leaving. That was when the previous youth director was running the show.

The new coach bent over for him. Had way too much say in the program. He ran the summer team. Eventually most of kids left his summer program. Long Beach schools have actually gotten better over the last 10 years with the IB program and other programs.

Port has some decent players but lost a lot last year to graduation. Their biggest issue is their coach. His antics on the sideline are ridiculous and his lack of lacrosse IQ is astonishing. He loses his cool and rides the refs. aA a result he loses control of the game. Watched him and his staff act light punks on the sidelines. Refs detest doing his games.

His talent came from travel programs. Does zero with local youth programs. Has zero continuity from youth to middle school to high school. He is too busy trying to build a false narrative for himself. Thinks he is the greatest coach to walk the sideline of high school lacrosse. Refs detest him, parents despise him.

So if you are a parent on the Port team you can honestly say he is a role model for your player? Have you seen him lose his mind on the sideline? Have you seen the way the OC acts throwing tantrums. This year Port is in the power league, they are going to compete but get out coached every game.

More so now than under Coach JK.

Starting with the younger HS kids. I do believe it will get better. Do agree since JK was forced to retire they have gone down hill. But must ask the question why did was he forced out. The story was he was retiring only to take a job 2 days later at another school for a few years before he actually retired they will never be a power house bit they can be competitive again

They are about as good as Hempstead in lax.

Absurd. Farmingdale and Manhasset will both be very good this year. Maybe Manhasset won't be as good as last year but last year's team was exceptional so being not as good doesn't mean bad. They will be a top team again this year.
Predictions for Power Conference: 1. Garden City 2. Manhasset 3. Farmingdale 4. South Side 5. Wantagh 6. Syosset 7. Massapequa 8. CSH 9. Port Washington

Because they are soft! Seems like you have plenty of skin in the game. They’re a soft team, simple. Why did you ask if you didn’t want anything but positive answers? Should have stated “only positive answers because my fragile personality can’t handle anything else but!” That would have alleviated the issue. As stated, don’t ask if you don’t want the truth! They are a soft team. Fact!
