It has the Cookie Monster sticky fingerprints all over Ford hire. He needs someone to protect his sons before new coach realizes they’ve been the problem. Ever since first kid came in the team is when all parental turmoil began. All stirred by the Cookie Monster himself!! Will it ever end at Loyola… all the external influences. This comment smells of a groot sized SIP or her troll husband angry that their kids peak at fresh/soph See here we go again. New coach better have the guts to push some players and families out. Starting with the one mentioned above. The kids are talented enough to put up with all the antics.

Why are we talking about JC, unless you want to discuss the pipeline to McDaniel College Is 1 player a pipeline? I think JC actually has more kids at UMBC. According to IL, they have sent kids to: Mount St Mary's, Washington, Salisbury, Stevenson, Vassar, Susquehanna, Anderson, Limestone, McDaniel, Canisius, Robert Morris, Wagner, VMI, Monmouth, Hobart, High Point, Quinnipiac, UMBC and University of Pennsylvania. Quite a variety of schools and lax programs. Nice to see some college counseling going on. I just went to Inside lacrosse and there are 7 schools listed - no Mount St Marys. Washington, Salisbury, Stevenson, Vassar, Limestone, Canisus, Robert Morris, Wagner, Hobart, High Point or Penn This is why you don't believe the haters on the internet. The kid from Upenn was on every all star team in the state. I can confirm with college rosters that JC currently has kids at: UPenn MSM x2 UMBC Canisius Hobart Wagner Washington x2 Lynchburg Salisbury And there are probably more with the covid eligibility years. I know some of their current kids are headed to: Monmouth Quinnipiac UMBC VMI McDaniel Susquehanna

Again JC is just not a legitimate pipeline. Next. Someone is jealous of JC team. Please dont tell me you didnt make Varsity at JC , is that what this is about ? There is more than one MIAA boy at Penn or that matter many schools who has taken one or less shots in college. One of coaches in MIAA relative is on Penn , doesnt play yet started 3 years in MIAA .

All this JC talk is great. Can JC get its act together and keep most of the above average talent in Harford county? If they do, they can become respectable, and then the top talent will stay. They link up with a club (not much to choose from) and could turn it all around. The drive time will only be getting longer and longer into Baltimore county.

I think they kept most of the better recruits from that class. And the younger classes will start to follow a little more each year.

JC NEVER will compete in the A conference even if every kid from Harford county went there. They should drop to B conference like Gilman.
Now let’s talk about BL and how all heck will break out when their top ranked player realizes he’s no good and the coaches get their act together and bench him once and for all. He kills the team every time he touches the ball. Takes the wind completely out of everything.

That’s a lot of money for a low education but good lacrosse, to ride the pine. He will get the same swag as the rest, don’t worry.

Maybe have him switch to Baseball, much gentler

They are doing a good job recruiting. All the Baltimore programs are getting squeezed for kids. It's not a coincidence that so many of them are resorting to out of state kids now that the good kids are staying at JC

Gunnar should link up with 91. That program already has a ton of Harford kids in it. Would make a ton of sense.

It's not a coincidence that so many of them are resorting to out of state kids now that the good kids are staying at JC JC folks like to simultaneously argue that the Harford County kids don't have the skills to make an impact at the "Big Schools" .... I think the usual quote is "they get lost on the bench." As if the boys have no role in that outcome whatsoever, they're just not that good and it's "decided" somehow? AND (again, simultaneously....) Keeping those same kids local at JC is going to transform those non-impact players into kids who can beat the "Big Schools." Logically, both of those things can't be true, at least most of the time. To that point, I know the BOTC rallying cry is "But Pat Spencer" in terms of coaching/zero-to-hero/player development and senior year impact (and it's an OK example and a GREAT story), but also remember that Pat Spencer held back a year at St Marys (pre-K or K) and held back another year at BL (8th) so he was not a spring chicken in his senior year. Dude was seriously ready.

I remember the year I told someone BL was undefeated and a great High School team. He looked at me with sarcasm and said, they should be, they are all college freshman.

At the heart of the Pat Spencer argument is that kids develop by getting on the field and playing in games.
Every kid (no matter their level) had a better chance of getting on the field and contributing earlier, and therefore developing, at a program that has 80 kids rather than 130.
It just depends on your tolerance for winning in the conference.
Do you want to ride the pine for a "winner" or contribute to a team that's "building?"
I find much of this kind of funny, seeing as even the bottom half of the A league are still a top 15 teams in the state.

Yes they have some really good teams as do other HS conferences like DC/NVA/Philly, NJ, LI, NY . Take the bottom half of MIAA and it would lose to most LI top 1/2/3/4th teams in better conferences.

Loyola’s a mess! Until Cookie Monster kids leave it will continue to be totally chaos with a parent who thinks he can run the team by bringing in a “personal “ assistant for his kids. The parents at Loyola ruin the team every year!

What part of "league" don't you understand. Long Island has 175? 190? high schools and some play each other and most don't. Sure there are some teams that could beat the paint off of any MIAA team. There's a reason they don't get assembled in a league together........nobody outside the MIAA wants to take that heat, 2x per week for 6 weeks. Nova: 1 team in the national top 50, zero in the top 25. So, I don't see a "better than the MIAA" league happening. Stop trying to make "elite nova lax" happen. It's not going to happen. Yeah I know, "Oh but so many elite Nova kids go to MD and DC schools." Cool. Why don't they go to VA schools? In fact let's expand to all of VA...name a VHSL team that would be favored to beat anybody in MIAA-A except for Severn School. The 5x state champions at 5A (Robinson) sends like 1 kid to D1 every year. I am not sure they could beat John Carroll or Severn. IAC: Top 2-3 teams are BETTER, most days, than the best MIAA teams. Conference as a whole? No. Nobody (in their right mind) claims it to be. IAL (Philly): Malvern and Haverford are great programs. But Germantown and William Penn Charter? No. Again, Malvern and Hav play each other, max 3x per season (including being the annual odds-on favorite for the championship game before the season's first faceoff). MAPL (PA-NJ): Seems like 2 teams per year crack the top 50. Better conference than the MIAA? No - like the MIAA goons, you'd be accused of factoring in the "legacy" of past greatness across these schools. In its best years, though, it's actually a passing argument that they might be as good or slightly better than the MIAA. And it's worth noting that in other sports (maybe like the IAC), the MAPL is better than the MIAA, and academics are top notch as well. Ratings are put together by human beings so of course there is some error, and maybe even bias. But the reality is that *every* MIAA-A team could beat all but the best 2-3 teams in any other league in the country. And the guys putting together the rankings, they know that.

Now, isn't your mother calling you to come eat your linguini and clam sauce?

Every kid (no matter their level) had a better chance of getting on the field and contributing earlier, and therefore developing, at a program that has 80 kids rather than 130.
It just depends on your tolerance for winning in the conference.
Do you want to ride the pine for a "winner" or contribute to a team that's "building?"
I find much of this kind of funny, seeing as even the bottom half of the A league are still a top 15 teams in the state. MIAA is overrated . Yes they have some really good teams as do other HS conferences like DC/NVA/Philly, NJ, LI, NY . Take the bottom half of MIAA and it would lose to most LI top 1/2/3/4th teams in better conferences. Hopefully you have your therapy dog next to while typing this, You sound triggered and upset. Dont want you in hospital over this. The rating are done by MD people who only see MD teams most of time. Your reading comprehension has let you down, reread what I wrote . I stand by both sentences . MIAA is overrated, now please get your therapy dog out before answering. MIAA is very strong. HS playoffs show the best with a shot clock.

That is the most [Censored] statement. If you take the bottom half of any conference in any sport and pit them against the top 4 teams in any other conference, they probably lose. Now, isn't your mother calling you to come eat your linguini and clam sauce? Glad you agree with me about MIAA being overrated. The big difference is that all you hear is about how great the conference is, it is the holy grail of lacrosse. I agree it is a good conference with quality teams at top like many others and frankly a few that are top 10 some years.

That's a weird way to say, "Oh, I guess I had a bad take." Here's a better take, you don't need a therapy dog when the facts pretty smoothly demonstrate your opinion. By all means, list a stronger HS lax conference, since we're here and you have our attention, and it seemed so very important for you to bounce into a MD HS forum to tell us that the MIAA is overrated. So which conference, top to bottom, is superior to the MIAA on a semi-regular basis?

Wait, the top team from another conference could beat the bottom teams from the MIAA?
You don't say!
There is still no conference that is as consistently as great as the MIAA, top to bottom.

Loyola has the best 26 class False. The twins alone at CHC are better than any of the Loyola 2026 class.

I said the MIAA was overated and claimed bottom teams would lose to many top teams. That speaks for itself and is a fact as you say. I constantly hear how great the MIAA is from Top to Bottom. Yes it is one of better conferences , but there are teams everywhere that beat them including beating the top teams in MIAA some years. I never said anything about comparing conferences only you have. Some people say NE West is better or just as good, but you dont hear them constantly bragging they are the best conference in nation like the MIAA does . Hold him tight now as facts are facts.
