Middlebury with the 22-13 win over Franklin & Marshall. Can William Smith beat Gettysburg for a battle of the undefeated in the final?

BElle Smith with the defensive save. Bad break for Cuse. They say she’s not a good defensive middie here on BOTC.

Potentially game saving defensive play. BC “D” showed up today. Will need better ”O” in the final.

You can’t, ILWomen did an article of some players currently in portal & will update occasionally.
Belle Smith had the winning defensive play to win the game! Congrats!

I’ve always loved grass fields. The rain is creating a tough playing surface which is causing all the turnovers. Sloppy game.

First six goals all LI.

Congratulations to Northwestern. Boston College played as miserable a game as could be played. Northwestern dominated in every positive statistic. Total domination.

Both finals today were blow outs.

Not really her fault today. BC forgot how to play the game. It has to be the worst loss of the six. Her facial expression did reflect that.

On the other hand Amonte Hiller gets her first shot clock championship, something she was instrumental in creating because of her mastery of holding the ball for her other championships.

The visceral detest for BC players/coaching staff on this site is stunning. Sorry you “can’t stand AWW”, although can’t fathom why (unless your kid wasn’t good enough to play at BC); now that your nemesis has lost, you can finally sleep easy tonight! SMH

Most games are played on turf. The Final Four played on grass (on a soccer field actually) and with today’s weather it created a surface most players don’t experience much. It was equal for both sides but a lot of players slipping a falling, especially in the first half.

Yellow Jackets players soft. TG player schooled them

Great call out on the rule change, what a great move by the sport. With BC making 6 straight finals going 1-5, I looked back for similar teams that have had that type of run. Maryland made 8 in a row from 1994-2001 winning 7 straight and going 7-1. Northwestern also made 8 in a row from 2005-2012. They went 7-1 as well. To your earlier point, both before the shot clock era but still incredibly impressive.

You obviously don’t watch the games , her coaches sub her out quite a bit on the defensive side for a reason . Yes her best defense is the “ make up “ check because she gets beat a lot . She is not terrible defensively but not one of the better defensive middies and it showed in the finals . Your hype of every thing she does is what makes people post the opposite . Her last two games of the season were really an example of what her whole season was . Congrats to her on the IWLCA first team AA but she did not deserve it this year . The kid from SBU outplayed her all year and is just 1 example of players who deserved it more .

Looks like it was yours that wasn’t good enough to play there, lol. Not my nemesis, just detest the entitled attitude of the players, coaches, and parents. Would never route for them!

Hmm. Nah. I’m gonna say it’s not his/ her hype of everything makes people post the opposite. It’s the animonsity from a girl who played on the island and was committed at 8th grade. For some reason, whether the post about boyfriends was accurate or maybe you guys lost in High School against her, you guys can’t let it go.

Correct. The BS detest was long before I made this account and started sticking up for her. Whether that poster is new, IDK but they were “detesting” on Belle long before myself and one or two other posters started posting positive things about her.

Why is it you cannot debate lacrosse accolades on a lacrosse forum without some know nothing about lacrosse like you trying to make it personal. Was not a very good offensive year for her considering I am sure they were hoping she would pick up more of the lost offense when CN left . She is not a great defender and rarely used on the circle. Again there are several better middies out there and the SBU kid is one of them . It’s also ridiculous that the Wilson kid is not a tewaaraton finalist .

So, let me get this straight…because BC lost, it’s on BS? Not understanding the logic? Not understanding the distaste for her either? She won the game for them against CUSE, that check kept OA from scoring & tieing the game.

This one’s priceless. She’s a friggin midfielder. Not an attacker. There’s probably 652 midfielders in the NCAA D1 that wish they could get half of the 52 goals that she got. Or the 31 assists she got. No she’s not a fantastic defender. But lost offensive midfielders aren’t. Take the hateraid somewhere else. She puts up those stats playing against the top teams in the country. Ridiculous you guys continue to cast dispersions on this girl for personal reasons.

No. The excuse on that one is she got beat and was able to do a trail check. BS gets more points in o e season than his daughter got in a career on varsity. I’m also gonna say his daughter hasn’t stepped foot on a college field also with the amount of detest from him.

So it’s no longer that she’s a bad defender. And it’s no longer “she’s not even captain.” Now the new nonsense is she was expected to pick up for CN. That was Jen Medjid. My not daughter is a midfielder. Think she did pretty good offensively with basically the same amount of points. What’s next? Only ten teammates showed up to her beach house. She plays on BC. Tons of good players. If she was on JMU everybody would love Belle. We’ll except the mom from… you know.

Full disclosure, Idislike BC. They are much more tolerable without CN. Not a fan of the coach. Seems like she’s always muggin for the cameras. That being said I have to agree. The detest on this site for BS is ridiculous. She is certainly a top 10 midfielder is she the best no but she is one of the best.

There is not one person who has blamed her for the loss, and if they did it would be just as I’ll informed for crediting her with the Cuse win .

Wow another poster with reading comprehension issues . I more or less agree with you but my point was simple , based on her play this season she was not a team 1 ( top 3 ) AA midfielder in the country . There were others who were more deserving based on their play this season .

This guy is priceless. Where did I even mention anything you said anywhere in my post? . I didn’t even quote a post. I made a general statement because unless you just started reading BOTC today, you will see this pops up every few months for the last two years. Love a poster who calls out people’s reading comprehension skills and then makes a fool of himself. Thank you for tonight’s enjoyment. The world needs more clowns.
