Pequa win today over Syo. After beating Section 1 champs last weekend. Good team. I predict they finish 1 or 2 in Class A. Stop the whining.

Pequa beat Syo lol like I said they will be either 10-6 at best and that is a stretch most likely 9-7 and Pequa will still win Nassau Conference 1. Watch the Northport Pequa game most likely that will be the LIC with Northport winning.

Massapequa always going to above average on volume of athletes, but this is not your typical Massapequa team, despite the win, they still struggled yesterday, but you have to watch the game to know that.

Don’t blame the Pequa coaches. They are at the mercy of the new Athletic Director . She enforces policy that states that no juniors or seniors can be cut from the boys varsity lacrosse team. So walk on’s who never played lacrosse before are encouraged to fill the roster. So stop bashing the coaches. They can only do so much .

Doesn’t mean they have to play a lot of school districts do t have cuts. Those players only play during the blow outs.

Head Coach is lazy doesn't have any extra practices prior to season starting. Players in all grades do not trust him or believe he has the Lax Knowledge to run a high level program.

This is a true statement as the New Athletic Director is trying to make changes to an Athletic Program that has done nothing but won in every sport just to put her stamp on it. However that being said lets not give a pass to this empty sweatshirt and hat that calls himself Head Coach. The only kids scoring on this team consistently are the holdovers from the previous regime. SMH

Heard the coach has no credentials as was never a head coach at any level. Coaches at other schools know this. Not sure how hired but heard want to keep the position for a person that works in the school district. Heard practices are a joke and short and often cancelled. Very bad at X and Os. No depth charts or scouting reports or game preparation or adjustments or strategy. Kids just pulled on and off the field with no feedback. Commitment level a joke. The team will be average but the boys deserve more. Playing catch up since did essentially no training prior to start of season. There is a problem when players have asked for more practice time. Does the bare minimum. No preparation, no leadership, no accountability, no commitment, no competitiveness, lazy and the list goes on. It is not run like a program with training throughout the year and a path for the younger grades, more of a pickup team over a 2 month season and paycheck like middle school. You can’t expect good results if there is no commitment and preparation and desire to compete and win. The AD brought in is an issue too. There is a lot of talent coming up the system given the club programs but hoping they don’t leave. Complete night and day from the old regime. It’s a mess but maybe it will turn around. Coaching a varsity team is a tough job but you have to at least try your hardest.

I can't make a new thread and I am trying to get as much visibility on this....
Please, BOTC I BEG of you - PLEASE revamp the layout of this site. It has gotten abysmally worse. It feels like you took every bad design from late 90s myspace and dumped it all on one page:
Pop ads you have to click off to get to a link Drop downs moving the page as you click Captchas for EVERY posting and now auto play videos on every page... Where is the bad music and virtual glitter?
It's a terrible UX/UI please for the love of lacrosse and all that come here to interact/fight with Long Island dads about lacrosse (i kid, i kid) bring it back to a simple interface.

Agree with post above, all of their varsity players play or played with very weak travel programs, definitely will have an impact later in season

Any results from yesterday's Port vs Farmingdale game? Fdale 15 Port 5 How did Port beat CSH then? This just goes to show how deep that 2022 class was throughout the country. It will be at least another decade before you see that again.

Team is a walk on so this makes no sense… unless this is the coach trying to make people think beating weak conference teams is fooling anyone. Best conf team they’ve beaten is SYO. And Syo is a shell of what they used to be. Maybe you can shut out uniondale next.. can’t wait to see what Mt Sinai does to them.

Ok. Let’s sum this up. So what you are saying is only juniors and seniors can be walk ons . I just looked at Mhs roster seems like there is only 1 freshman and 2 sophomores ( 1 is a goalie) the rest are juniors and seniors you are telling us that there is no other freshman or sophomores that are strong players in the system that should be on varsity. Over the walk on juniors and seniors. So this varsity team Must be awesome and full of depth not to mention the programs great development of players. But hey 3-0 In a weak conference. Bravo. Move on now

Mt Sinai had half the boys on sideline as mapequa today. they were fast to the ball and played like a team looking for the open boy o score. they broke two massapequa defense men's ankle for goals. massapequa was laying on turf. Mt Sinai owned the faceoff and ran straight down the middle for goals unchallenged by the massapequa defense.
the massapequa coaches are clueless didnt switch anything up. heard the massapequa assistant coaches were yelling and cussing at each other in front of boys. what a discrace.

And so? Easy to hide behind. There was no decision making or control or evaluating or making adjustments or game strategy or preparation etc. involved. Assisted with the box and maybe some scout reports. That’s it. Being a head coach is completely different.

Enough of the pequa posts. We get it. The coach is way over his head and not a good coach and the AD is from the new era of participation trophies. No cuts. Walk ons encouraged and everyone should play. Take it up with the pequa school board and stop posting about it.
