False. I know 4 Elite teams missing a few players.

Both things are possible at the same time. It's normal to lose a few kids in fall to conflicts and injuries. It's also common to backfill those numbers, if the team is well run.

At the end of the day it's each coach's responsibility to make sure there is a coherent roster (with free agents, kids from TX, kids from their B team, whatever) to play the event that's been on their calendar for months. If you see a 2026 team show up with 16-18 kids, the adults are not doing their job.

And sure, "fall doesn't matter." Of course, if fall really didn't matter, these teams would just scrimmage each other for free, instead of spending $2K per roster per tournament to go play in Cecil County or the Annapolis suburbs.

Crabs duck top 5 comp so by default they are not top 5.

Express coach can coach and build a roster. Hawks coaches still stands around screaming like a maniac dropping f bombs while abusing his son verbally and emotionally for 40 minutes. That's the biggest difference with those teams.

Can't have sweet lax navy and sweetlax Upstate in they're if they can't possibly play.....

Its Express and the rest of us at the moment.

Sweetlax dad had a tshirt saying something similar last summer at NLF. 6 place finish made the portly puke green tshirt funny.

There are more differences than just that. LIE is a great team on a national level; the Hawks were nationally dominant a couple of years ago, but now they are a very strong local team on par with VLC, DCE, MadLax, and NextLevel. No shame being part of that group because they all play great lacrosse, but none of those teams can hang with LIE.
