They cut four kids since the fourth grade. Don’t think the three they finally cut are the issue.

Well considering every girl on the team was already invited to return and they were trying to hold a private tryout yesterday, the public tryouts are a sham. The Tierney Way Spot on. Hollow promises and no regard for but a few. It’s been a very difficult ride and it will end this year.

Just stop. They lost by 1. It was a good game. YJ got handled by Aces and M&D at L4TC. Yikes. New players ain’t gonna help much when it leads to more disgruntlement about PT and favoritism. Talent is pretty much equal among the top teams, so it comes down to coaching from now on.

Any standouts at the HG tryouts? Well considering tryouts aren't until next week, it remains to be seen. Well considering every girl on the team was already invited to return and they were trying to hold a private tryout yesterday, the public tryouts are a sham. Not necessarily. Girls had to commit before tryouts to keep their spot. Surprised more teams don't do this. Public tryouts are a sham for pretty much every Maryland non-B team and non-B club. If you haven't worked in with a club before tryouts, they don't think you are serious about wanting to join.

They cut four kids since the fourth grade. Don’t think the three they finally cut are the issue. Those four were the weakest links. Especially the slow attacker that went to Heros white and is now on M and D red. The weakest link on red, but her mentality is she is the best. No wonder she was cut as well as the defenders. The coach was spot on with this move

G8 are all scrimmages. There is no championship format. Lol, they are real games with real coaches, referees and scoreboards! Just no playoff games. They are not scrimmages. For our kids team , it was actually some of the best played and competition games they have played all year. Plus they kept wins and losses. Not scrimmages.

G8 are all scrimmages. There is no championship format. They are not scrimmages. They are games. Scores are kept. The scores count towards teams’ rankings. No score kept in scrimmages and rankings not affected by scrimmages.

You win as a team and lose as a team. No blame should ever go to the goalie as it takes many others to let it by before it gets to her. Yes I am a goalie mom, but not of a 2026 but of a girl playing in college. The goalie bashing here is awful. Be an adult and stop living your lives through your athlete. They need your support and their mental health especially at this age is #1. So even if a goalie isn't having a great day (perfect example Taylor Moreno in UNC semi-finals) they aren't a bad goalie but need good coaching to recognize the struggle and build that defense in front of them during that game.

Why all the detest on HG? If they've fallen off so much way continue to bash them so much? I don't have a kid on the team but from an outsider's perspective seems like sour grapes for one reason or another.

No score kept in scrimmages and rankings not affected by scrimmages Rankings mean nothing to anyone but the parents. College coaches don’t care if you’re on the best team but never play. Nobody recruiting your 26 games. No prize or playoffs. They are glorified scrimmages.

I was at g8. Just been thru this before and these games are fun but mean nothing. Except the social media crowd that promotes themself as bracket winner and not playing all equally in a showcase tourney. Hope you don’t get bruises bashing your chest over the outcome of these things. I also bet you think american select and under armour matter too !

Hope about the Heros parents close their mouths , stay off this board and support the coaches and players and they develop into really good players ?
