What is this the Suffolk and Privates list? Next to nothing for Nassau?

Stop. This list is nothing more than club directors promoting a handful of their kids. Club directors (not all) were asked who their 2025 players were. This list will mean something for their junior year since all of them should be playing varsity, if not than they shouldn't have been on it in the first place. Time will tell. For now NOBODY is looking at or cares about 2025's

Never saw a 16-5 blowout coming but I sure enjoyed it. MS did everything right including dominating the face offs. Holding SWR to 5 goals says a lot for the defense and goaltending. Next year may be a different story but team will always have 2022. Two more steps to the goal.

Both team aren't great, MS is a GREAT team and Best On LI, the other beats Yaphank by 15 and parents pound there chest.

After a week of planning that was embarrassing. The last of the talents developed by Rotanz and the old SWR regime graduated last year. There’s no more depth there and you can’t plug the holes moving more kids into the district.

Why do I have the feeling you never played a minute of lacrosse ever, but always have a lot to say on the subject?

SWR only lost 2 games all year, both to MS, was nationally ranked in top 20 and you are writing this? 99% of high school teams wish the had SWRs talent. MS played a perfect game and SWR came out flat. They get back their top players in 2023 and will be very tough. And this is coming from a MS fan.

How is it determined, is it the coach of your HS team or do the conference coaches have to agree which players get all-conference and all-county????

HS coach gets a certain number to give out depending on how the team does and the competitiveness of schedule. Coach decides who gets the awards. Coach also nominates players for All-American and all the conference coaches vote on that.

Manhasset has not won yet. There is a reason why they play the championship games.

So after they determine how many and what honor each team gets its solely up to each HS coach on which kids gets what award.

Each team based on where they ended in the standings gets a certain amount of all conference picks. All County is debated and discussed at the coaches meeting. There were less spots this season than normal.

Teams are slotted their total awards. All county and all American are debated within the conference.

A lot of very good players who don't play on the best teams will get overlooked. Happens every year, just the way it is. Top teams have weighted votes and allotted more spots. I have never agreed with it. Best players are easy to spot regardless of where they play.

Some kids make lists and they deserve it. Some kids make the lists because of who they are connected to. This is no secret. This is how it is.

It’s a list. They had a coach advocating on their behalf. It is what it is. Every year these list come out every year there are players who deserve to be on the list that do not make the list This has been happening for years and will continue to happen for years to come. In the end it really doesn’t matter. The college coaches know who fits their programs and who doesn’t. They do not look at these list and say wow Johnny Jones is listed as a Top 50 player. I need to have him If your kid is not on the list don’t worry. if he is good and playing in showcases this summer, they will see him. If he fits their program as a player and student they will reach out to him.
If your kid made the list congratulations that means he is a good player and his coaches believe in him. If your kid didn’t make the list, it does not mean he is not a good player. Let him use as motivation. Good luck to everyone this summer.
