Finally a post on this board I can agree with.

Let's stop that non-sense of trolling and posting rumors. We have watched Madlax play prior to our game and they didn't have any kids come in just to play us. Same kids the week before are the same kids that played us on Saturday

Agree, just because some don't play week to week doesn't mean they are not rostered. The team is pretty much the same with a few that have been out or come in for the special games. The ML way! Let's be honest didn't help much as you can see from the score and you keep #5 from the goal and you are home free. They have as someone else posted previously incorporated an LSM in the offense.

Agree! I am no fan of MadLax, and if you said its 2026 team is a toxic crew with poor coaching that has been in decline for a couple of years, I would say guilty as charged. But don't make up stuff about non-rostered players. They do fly players in from around the country, and they have a different group week to week, but they are smart enough to have everyone on the roster.

So then shouldn't it be "Run IAD" instead of "Run DMV", or do they fly in through Baltimore, so it's really "Run BWI". It's really a shame what happened to that team. Poor coaching, probably 3-4 head coaches over the years who did them no favors, no development (actually regression), age group ignored by the owner, toxic environment, and a few well liked teammates that left. About half of the current team looking for a new home, but be careful to any takers....caveat emptor.

That is funny and also another post that is 100% accurate. As for those that left don't think they where impact players since they lost with them as well. The reoccurring them is loss, loss and different coaches. #RUNBWI

Didn't the Hawks blowout Crabs only a few weeks ago (and #1 ranked LI Express)?

If DCE is missing 1 or 2 players then it doesn't matter, they will have to cancel. Good coaching can overcome that and be better prepared at this level. Several teams missing kids for tests, injuries and Covid and they manage to play through it.

Huh? Does HoCo allow teams discretion to cancel games? And does DCE actually do that?

ML has 27 players on their roster. However it’s not clear how many have to fly in. If you have money to burn then I guess Madlax is as good a place as any. Hopefully these kids got playing time. With 27 kids playing time is scarce.

This is true but what is also true is that HoCo will accommodate if BOTH teams allow it. It is fairly common for teams to get together and shift a game or location with the support of the league. Surprisingly, even rival clubs will extend the courtesy to each other since everyone wants the best effort/situation for the players. Back to lacrosse talk, it looks like a 3 team race with crabs, dce and hawks in that order for seeding with hawks still with crabs and dce on the schedule and could leapfrog or solidify a lower seed. Logjam for 4th playoff spot with VLC having the slight edge as of now.

HoCo will allow a team to reschedule due to placement testing. A lot of boys on each team flow to one school. Schools generally only give one or two testing dates. Conflicts occur most years.

What's your point here, exactly? Everyone playing Hoco is a sucker? Or, if you're playing Hoco, focusing on stuff like "winning" is pointless? Help me out here dude.

I cant find the game where a local team besides the WSYL all star team that doesn't exist anymore has beaten them.

GHCLC Spectators

The Greater Howard Club Lacrosse Conference (GHCLC) would like to remind all spectators to reinforce positive values through the sport of lacrosse. The first half of the season has witnessed some unacceptable behavior from spectators. This behavior is starting to leak on to the field and affect the kids ability to play, the coaches ability to coach, and the officials ability to officiate games properly in a safe environment.

On behalf of the GHCLC, I ask that all spectators refrain from any foul language, harassment of player/coach/officials and reinforce positivity as a spectator. Furthermore, spectators are NOT permitted to sit, stand or otherwise be behind player bench side. All spectators must be on the opposite side of player benches. Violation of outlined requirements could result in game forfeitures and suspensions.

As stated in the GHCLC Bylaws (https://www.ghclacrosse.com/rules), spectators who are ejected from games will serve a one (1) game suspension (not including the game which he/she was ejected). The ejection will be submitted to the League Commissioner for review. Those involved could face harsher penalties (forfeits, multigame game suspensions, etc) should the Commissioner and Rule’s Committee deem necessary.

Thank you for your compliance,

Ricky DuBois

League Commissioner

So wouldn't it make more sense to set the benches up on the opposite side of the field so we can use bleachers? This is about as smart as closing the bleachers during Covid so we all had to cram together one the ends of the field.

Agreed, the catch 22 is that the ‘stands’ should be on the parking lot side of field and the ‘benches’ should be just where they are. Design flaw.

I coached in HoCo for 5 years and having the fans opposite the team benches was always the rule. However, not all of the HoCo fields are set up for that and we had several issues with obnoxious parents sitting behind our bench and heckling our players and coaches...this was 6th - 8th grade! Literally almost had physical fights and the refs did end up flagging the other teams for this. Although we had a few "lively" parents over the years on our team we did fortunately avoid these types of embarrassing situations with our team. You'll never see such stunads as you will at grade school/middle school youth sports.

It’s pretty simple at Troy 1. If you are there to watch your son play without being awful, sit in the bleachers (further up from the benches if possible) and mind your own business. If you want to yell at the refs, your kid or someone else’s kid, check your own issues/priorities and sit on the grassy knoll by the parking lot or in the mud by the fence below the hill. With a few exceptions, parents have been fine in 26 this year compared to younger age groups and previous seasons.

Not always the case. The bleachers face the sun. I stand on the grass so I don’t have to squint to watch a game. Not surprisingly a few terrible parents ruin it for the majority of us.

Instead of bragging which elite team their kid on, they can talk about which MIAA coach they are begging for more playing time. In a couple of years they can brag about which D1 school their 19 year old would have to if only they spent some time teaching their son to read instead of lecturing us about how smart it was to make their son a holdback

Instead of bragging which elite team their kid on, they can talk about which MIAA coach they are begging for more playing time.
