Arden? LOL. However to your other point, they sure did beat BLC Orange.

You can’t put any stock in elite 6. Kids were playing all over the place, no poles, no face offs etc. iirc, they got beat pretty bad by the two Hawks/FCA teams and maybe beat a Delaware team? Just not much to goon there.

Totally agree on Elite6 not being anything to go on. I’m just saying B level teams struggle to catch and throw. I didn’t think the diamondbacks were there.

But does any team have the personnel to pull that off? I don’t think in the fall anyone stood out. Lots of good FOGOs, but no one dominant against all matchups. Maybe FCA has a slight advantage here?

Next Level has a REALLY good FOGO. He’s huge, and he’s good.

Is he the same one from spring of last year? That kid was not super skilled but was super athletic. He wasn’t huge so, maybe a different kid?

How to say the "minority" kid without saying the minority kid...

I wrote the comment above. Have no idea what his race was but nice to know that’s how you think 🤔

And of course he knows the kid but doesn’t answer the question.

You decided to address the CHILD as "not super skilled" and I have not seen other players addressed in that manner on this forum. Complimenting his athleticism after a dig shows how YOU think.

If that’s the first time you’ve seen a kids skills questioned in the last 176 pages on botc then you need to open your eyes.

What do you call a face off kid who never (against my kids team) wins a clean clamp and pop but then wins > 50% as ground balls? Btw - that description can be used to describe many fogos…

When you’re a hammer, everything looks like a nail. It doesn’t mean everything is a nail.

New this year: VLC, Preds, Cavs returned (sort of).

Does NL have a B team I am missing?

I know hoco wants 8-10 teams but there is a huge drop between 6 and 7 of elite if his is the list.

Blue Claws has a B team too. Not sure where they would slot. Probably A or B.

I had no idea. Although I did put the Cannons twice in AA....so....I'm not without error.
Here come to boo birds, but here it is: Madlax B team would be A or AA, either way, we’ll above BLC Orange. The BLC Blue team really doesn’t belong in Elite, but there’s a shortage up there. So they’ll likely get slotted in Elite, and won’t win a game— other than MAYBE against True KP or VLC, assuming one of those two is the 8th team. Blue Claws could also jump up, but theyll go winlesss if they do.

Everyone is slotting BLC Blue in Elite division, where they went 0-6 last year with 19 goals, 76 goals against. Prob time to drop to AAA and let Blue Claws or someone else to jump up and give it a go. Getting decimated week in and week out is not good for the kids on that team, they’ll get too discouraged and quit.

Has HoCo every considered a system for AAA and below where the games are adjusted each week depending on scores. Could have same window of time for games and teams just have to deal with the window each week.

There is just too many unknowns. Too many new teams and reconstituted teams. Several teams ranked in AAA above just because they have been there every year.

Hoco can make this work if they so desired.

Whatever you might know about True Baltimore might be correct, but I don't think that's accurate for True VA.

Lest anybody think the only lax drama is at Elite:

Last winter, all 3 starting attackmen and the #1 middie for True Balt flew the coop (3 to Baltimore Elite, 1 to Team 91), forcing Kevin Totaro (who built up the True MD program....such as it is.......... and was in charge of building the True VA program, to bring 5 kids up from NoVa from his budding True VA program. HoCo League said OK to the last minute roster change (this is mid-April). The VA boys helped push the team to the A playoffs vs HoCo Black.

And that's where it gets fun.

While the league had (at least verbally) approved the roster additions, someone at True or the league dropped the ball on confirming the VA boys were ACTUALLY on the True roster. The HoCo Black coach asked for a roster check prior to the playoff game, and 5 "True Baltimore players" (the VA kids) were told to remove their gear and leave the field immediately. All 5 VA kids had become True Balt's core starters, and despite "training more," True was annihilated by a very lackluster but well coached HoCo Black team.

People have argued it's not True's fault. But that would be ignoring that the HoCo Sportsengine page didn't show the VA kids on the roster, all season long, which the coaches *surely* saw. And either did nothing or did "not enough" to ensure it was fixed.

This story is also the answer to the question, "Why did only 8 kids show up to the True Baltimore tryout this fall?"

agree Next level red should be in AA or AAA

If they can score 27 goals against air they should be in aaa. My son is on a very good team and I don’t think they have ever scored 27.
I mean when you playing Blc orange who someone said are as bad as swarm its not very difficult but the boys on NL red are huge they have at least 5 boys over 5'7 no holdbacks

My son is 5’7, he’s the biggest kid on basically every field he plays on. He’s 99.8% for his age and he’s a true 28.

If they actually have 5 kids over 5’7 there is some amazing statistical anomalies going on.

Correct. Just to say you have 8 teams doesn’t make sense from a child growth perspective. Relative to the rest of the country those kids are amazing lax players, it would be a shame to send them out to 10 goal losses every week.

5 Divisions with 6 to 8 games would probably make for closer games and even competition. It's no fun to win or lose by 15 goals.

I think these are more fair just adding some more teams don't know if they will end up in hoco just a guess and NL red could probably stay AAA but would as we've heard " will smoke" teams in AA.

Cool, then not a peep from you about how awful the parents are for letting their kids play for a team that beats them 24-3.

It's a crapshoot as many teams are still forming and figuring out if they are even fielding teams. So my super-early call for MD area rankings for this summer:

1) 91
2) Hawks
3) Next Level
4) FCA
5) Crabs
6)Team MD
7) MadLax Cap
8) True Annap
9) Preds
10) Cannons)

Whatever you might know about True Baltimore might be correct, but I don't think that's accurate for True VA.
True dc went undefeated in the NXT mid Atlantic so they should bump to AAA

True "DC" (MoCo) had guest players from other True DMV area teams, it was basically the True DMV all-star team. That's not who will mostly play for True DC next year.
