The IWLCA is a membership-led nonprofit association representing the nation’s intercollegiate women’s lacrosse coaches within Division I, II & III of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The IWLCA is a 501c Non-Profit educational organization.

Wondering if their organization is a good resource for recruiting????

Hear is their link;

This is the coaches association. Yes they are a non-profit, but that does not mean they are not making money. They partnered with Corrigan Sports to run their tournaments because they were losing too much control to people like Cathy Samaras.

It's kind of ironic that the "women's coaches association" did not want a woman like Cathy controlling the tournaments, but instead hired an executive director who is a man and hired Corrigan Sports who are run by men to "control" their organization.

The way these tournaments are now set up end up costing families so much more than they did in the past- more money for travel due to odd locations, more money for hotels (three night stays) and you MUST use their hotels for each tournament or you can't register. The hotels are kicking back money back to IWCLA.

One ugly mess.

No Kidding!! Was just at Champion's Cup 1 game Friday at 2:00pm, Saturday Games 10:00am and 8:00pm and Sunday at 10:00am. 45 hours to play 4 games, two nights in a hotel and tons of time to kill.....in suburban Richmond. Compare to other kid at National Draw same weekend. 6 games, one night in a hotel, done in 27 hours. Not a fan of the IWLCA

If your saying that the National Draw is a better tournament simply because you get home faster, and spend $200.00 less then maybe that is the place for your daughter. I for one , want my daughter seen by as many coaches as possible. If I am a little inconvenienced over that than it is a burden I am willing to carry to help my daughter achieve her goal. Nat Draw had a very unimpressive list of coaches. If your daughter is playing just for fun than that is the place for you.

Good grief, get some reading comprehension help, I was in Richmond last weekend being taken advantage of (not "inconvenienced") by Corrigan Sports and the IWLCA. Also had a Middle Schooler at Nat Draw with her mom, mercifully too young for inclusion in the IWLCA Champion's Cup or Capital Cup. Just a simple example of the obvious, that you can actually play 4 games plus in less than 3 days with little if any effort (everyone but IWLCA manages to).

Have one already playing D1, one already recruited and the best of the three still to come. Been through it all many times and it wasn't always like this.

My comprehension is fine, seeing as you have the best athletes on the planet do us all a favor and don't go to the I.W.L.C.A. events, you obviously don't need them and keep your complaining in your own house with your wife and super stars. There is enough bitching and moaning on this site

Not the original poster, but speaking of bitching and moaning, you are leading the negativity charge "SuperMom."
