Started as a joint enterprise to build a team for WSYL, had open tryouts, and 2026 team ended with members also from FCA, Looneys, and Sidewinders for east qualifier. All rosters are posted on the WSYL site.

That is the kid whose dad had him play for the Hawks, and True and BLC. He has not been with Sidewinders in years.

Speaking to parents from those teams, I was told that the "open tryouts" were basically pointless for the kids on those teams, as the rosters were mostly pre-selected (because the coaches already knew the kids). That is not an indictment, knowing the kids from coaching them (and against them) for years is a much better evaluation than a two hour run through drills. It was really more of a recruiting thing to grab a couple of extra players. We will see if it is a legit team, by whether they stick together in the future or go back to VLC, BLC, DC Express, 3D, FCA, Looneys.... etc... The second line middies, #3 attackmen and role players on those teams, had no shot for Black Ops no matter what they did at tryouts. Obviously they assembled a decent enough team to make the final four; but call it what it is, a way to skirt the intended rules to try to beat the Hawks (which in the end, they did.). There is a reason Long Island calls out the DMV. Apparently Towemen was the same basic idea for North Jersey and New York Suburbs.

What is your source for this? You seem very certain and the Black Ops parents seem to differ greatly with you.

Don't they only have one goalie? I have never seen them play a second goalie.

Black Ops played 2 goalies every game. That is the difference between Black Ops and all other Elite teams. Black Ops played all 24 players on their roster every single game, even in bracket play when all others played their 14 kids. Some goalies never even see the field. What kind of experience is that. Every kid on Black Ops plays and will get developed by playing. To make the final four with every kid contributing is what youth lax is all about.

Sorry Hawk dad but Black Ops had a bigger agenda then just beating you. We just fell short like 23 other teams, you were just in our way.

The stats of every player and game is available on the WSYL flowcode site. You can see how many teams played one goalie or used the backup against weaker teams.

We will see what kind of integrity Black Ops has.. So are you staying together to keep playing or was your "agenda" just for this summer?

These Black Ops parents have a lot of nerve to build an all star team for WSYL and then come on here after they lose and pound their chests about how they did things the right way. Give us a break and do yourselves a favor and be quiet.

My son had a blast and made a lot of new friends; great coaching, great POSITIVE PARENTS and memories for a lifetime. I hope he gets to play with them again!!!

Step away from the ledge Hawks Parent!! Rage has been rubbing off on you; there is still time to save yourself. Maybe consider True Annapolis?

Why don't you do yourself a favor and be quiet lost dad! Obviously your son's team was not good enough just like you.

I love these POSITIVE "Black Ops" PARENTS! Your son was probably on my son's team. Keep pounding your chest though. I don't expect it to work out for you in the long run

From one lost dad to another — unless you're an Express parent your son's team (and I guess you by the same logic) wasn't good enough either. Or am I wrong about that?

So is Black Ops Staying together? Or is it just another way to flaunt the rules? Nice to see their grace and class are matching Hawks' dad's. Way to trash kids.

Yes. Like other's said we didn't win like the 23 others. Stop being sore and focus on your own kids and own club. Lumber prices are dropping. Maybe go make some sale?

Yes! Could not agree more here and we are a real team and celebrate that in the US Club Lacrossr rankings that Express is ranked 1, Sweetlax 2, Tigers 3, Hawks 4 and we are proud that we get to play against those teams and play good against them all and we hold nothing but respect for them. Nothing wrong with team excitement.
