It’s amazing how good a team can look when they’re playing against a struggling goalie. Struggling? How about not that good and a terrible teammate to go with it. Lawrenceville won't put up with his @ChillLaxin for long and he'll hit the bench and they won't miss a beat. He will be benched before first game and that will be that

All credit to Machine parents though, they were shocked but complementary as they stood around saying "who is next level." So the Machine goalie had a bad game, and the team didn’t take NL seriously. That explains a lot. Thanks. This summer NL lost the following games to teams ranked below them… Mad Dog West (ranked 23) Mad Dog Gold (ranked 41) 2 Way (ranked 22) Shore 2 Shore (ranked 20) Team 10 (ranked 16) Leading Edge (ranked 15) Most of these games weren’t even close. I get that the rankings are not exact, but every team between 10 and 20 should be ranked above them. And others as well. And beat 2 Way And beat Shore 2 Shore. Whatever, take it up with USCL. Now do that same deep dive with the other teams and see what you come up wih. Maybe if those other teams could keep their rosters together instead of the players scattered around playing for a bunch of supersquads, they'd do better. I'm sorry a rec team beat Machine but maybe your gripe is with them. 2 Way and S2S beat NL the last times they played. NL is a fine team, but by no means above Hawks, Crabs and ML. Their record certainly doesn’t reflect it. Hawks and Crabs have no great wins, but no ugly losses like NL and ML. In truth, they are probably all on about the same level. NL just happens to be ranked higher than they should be.

NL folks had to be happy with the results this weekend, right?
Also, what is up with FCA in this age group? I saw they struggled this weekend against teams I assumed they were better than, anybody know anything about them?

Last game for DC Express not good though. Never heard really of Team Ten. What high schools are their kids from? Are they that good or did DC Express play that bad?

Yes, you have but I'll bite. Team Ten is from Philly and primarily feeds to the Philly Inter-AC with teams like Malvern. Their lacrosse is primarily fed by very old holdbacks and not just summer birthday holdbacks. Team ten is one of the 5 best true lax clubs, not all-star teams, in the country at this age.

Team Ten is a solid Top 25 team out of Philly area. When they have everyone playing, they are very very strong.
DCE is vastly improved, but I think the Hawks win is still an outlier. Hawks (and Crabs) seem a little down lately, but I still think Hawks win 8-9 games in a 10-game series with DCE.

My boy's team played Team Ten yesterday. They played a lot of kids also so they are very deep as well. I was impressed honestly. They were strong at every line and very athletic kids.

My boy's team played Team Ten yesterday. They played a lot of kids also so they are very deep as well. I was impressed honestly. They were strong at every line and very athletic kids. If your team is loaded with holdbacks, it is, if not, well it is what it is. Yes, those boys were clearly developmentally a year or two older. They were pretty violent players too when it was not necessary. Regardless, they’re a fierce team and had tremendous advantage against all of the teams they beat, Crabs and Hawks included. Crabs beat DCE by a small spread. Hawks beat Crabs by a small spread. DCE beat Hawks by a small spread. It would be nice to see these teams play each other again, and put Ten with a team with an equal amount of holdbacks to level the playing field.

These kids at schools in the Interac are taught to play physical because generally that is their advantage. They do not play in my opinion as clean lacrosse as Long Island or Maryland teams but are generally more athletic in my opinion.

And Hawks kids are held back at birth, they generally don’t come out of the womb until they are 18 months old. Almost every top Philly team my kids have played against is borderline dirty.

Every team has holdbacks but the Inter-IAC is considered a half step behind the academies like Culver and Western Reserve. Go take a look at the pictures Inside Lacrosse is posting from this past weekend's event congratulating the team winner's in the division. They don't just magically grow bigger and stronger with more facial hair on one team than another in what is supposed to be the same class.

I don't think this is a strong age year for FCA. Not sure why. Blue (top team) pulled up quite a few white players over the summer, and cut a handful of kids. Coach is also new to the team and is a Kelly kid, so not sure how much coaching played into it.
