FOGO dads are terrible at math. Every FOGO dad says his kid went 85%.

CH attack may be back but they will lose two “juniors” who will not be illegible for next year. What are the age requirements for MIAA? Or is it a state rule?

Can’t be 19 before the start of the school year. Also have 4 years to play HS sports so can’t reclass once you start playing 9th grade.

Really funny and how critical and nasty some of you are but only to certain kids. Rip had a great season but struggled in the last game. There wasn’t another game all year he didn’t produce and while not big numbers in this game he at least had some. Yes I understand because TR is involved he gets higher criticism. Truth is people have been waiting for Spald to fail so they could all pick apart. Kids did something great making it to the end.
One can only wonder if Petro would of received the same criticism if they lost with dad coaching . Scoreless yes scoreless in two of the teams final three games in playoffs yet after those performances it gets tucked away. Thankfully my son is a senior and could not of asked for a better ending but the politics with BL is in another dimension DP scoreless against Loy. 4 goals vs McD all assisted by teammates meanwhile BS had 2,4 clearly best player. Then DP went invisible in Final with another scoreless performance Not much difference other than result of team People that do not like TM direct it at him not his son Clearly you have no idea. Clearly he was being sealed but was also the decoy. They wouldn’t slide off of him so he was content to let his teammates win the game. Unselfish Top players aren’t decoys he got shut down 0,0 in two of three playoff games Biggest game of the year petro had no points none by not a top defensemen in his own class This is true DP is good not great gets hyped because name Realistically top 15 in class not top 5. Team won tho Agree very good player not top 5 One dimensional and coaches figured him out down the stretch DP is very good but having zero goals or assists in two of three playoff games is not good The idea of being a decoy made me chuckle top guys are not decoys MIAA had a strong senior class next year will be fun

Wait, so two juniors names on the CH roster will be illegible? So you won't be able to read their names? Or is it the double negative 'not' 'illegible' so the names can be read? The poster should be ineligible to comment. Nothing like MD private school education!

Biggest losses to turnover/graduation this year.
1) Loyola - 70% starters graduate 2) BL - 2 to 3 starters at each position lost 3) St. Mary’s - strength of the team was D and they lose a ton 4) CHC - lose 2-3 playmakers and some grinders to graduation. Lose a starter to founders league 5) Spalding - key losses in goal scoring middie and attack. Goalie and fogo graduate. 6) McDonogh - lose inside finisher, 2 dynamic middies and a long pole

Talent this year was very mediocre , Frankly, the talent pool is mediocre in entire MIAA compared to rest of country with explosion of lacrosse in many states. Please, I know, overall it is a great conference and many players that have stick skills off the charts. And yes , they will have a handful of players that play D1, but the good ole days are gone with many players making an impact in D1. Many will be on D1 teams and ride the bench for 4 years, while the true athletics pass them buy from other areas.

They will have many players on various D1 teams, most will be on bench. A few will start and there may be the rare impact player here and there in all of D1 college.

Anyone could tell he was only there for short time. Still has his defenders, which is amazing after his bailing out when something better came along.

You can't consistently compete in the A Conference with a couple of athletes and one or two skilled lacrosse players. Have you watched the game film? The cupboard was virtually empty. Blaming the 2021 Gilman lacrosse season on the last coach illustrates you don't know lacrosse.

Didnt blame him for anything except leaving program after telling everyone that he was there to get the program back to winning ways. Instead he bails at first opportunity to leave. Not much of a coach.

Apparent you have not seen or been to a MIAA game this year. Perhaps you are from the DC area and feel they are better, who knows but you are showing a very low lacrosse IQ. I'm still guessing here so maybe you are 12 yers old and your little brother just started playing lax and you feel you have it all figured out. Very disrespectful to put down the kids playing in the MIAA with your nuttheD comments.

[quote=Anonymous][quote=Anonymous][quote=Anonymous]Severna park has a good record undefeated. Blowing out everyone. All the talent in the county goes to private schools now. Ok... Who are the top 5 goalies in his age group???? Don't know Pop. Even if he is number 1 still doesn't change the fact that every single MIAA starting goalie is better. Every one. I don;t know what grade your son is but I think all the MIAA A goalies return next year so he better hit the wall or he will be worse than all of them again Looks like your goalie son better watch out, Someone is coming for his spot. Was wondering why you are so out there about this. Now we know. Let' s play your way dad. Which MIAA starting goalies is your son better than? I imagine a bunch since I am so out there. My son's team has multiple goalies better Glad somebody shut him up. No MIAA, No college, I guess all the lacrosse world should focus on the top 5 goalie in his class now. His kid makes the UnderArmour team by mistake because they called the wrong goalies number so now he thinks junior is the second coming. We will see how he does this summer at Main Stage and Juniors Open. Oh right no invite for the top 5 goalie in his class. What a hump this guy is

MIAA players are already "coached up" and really don't take leaps & bounds when they transition to the college game, they really just mature physically (though many are already 19 coming out of high school)

I’m shocked by this MIAA All Conference announcement. Something is wrong. What happened? Where is the list? I think we all know that this means there will be a very different All Conference list coming very soon.... this one will be sponsored by Lids and Legendary Sports Group. Probably released before the coming weekend.

I bet the hammerhead jumps again after the school finds out about him. or he finds new pastures to graze in.

The head coach is important, yes of course, but just as important is the “staff” under him. The student talent can be developed but a talented motivated coaching “staff” has to be in place first. If a good coach wants to develop a winning lacrosse team but can’t hire and fire or bring in the people he needs to create that future …then he looks elsewhere.

My nephew got his family flown to game in the Midwest from Mid-Atlantic so his family could watch him play. All done by a big donor and team parent of a subpar player. AD calling in favors. This went for the official visits they took at the school too. Initallly it was just going to be nephew but they found a creative way to fly mom and dad out too.
