So when CM is #1 in their league, and have only lost to teams ranked much higher (Rocky Point, Sayville, Comsewogue, and West Islip) .... your point is what exactly? When CM wins LIC's then talk to me Hahahaha...would be blown out by pretty much every other team on LI. Enjoy living in your bubble, but don't pretend to be something that your not. Your in the PAL B division, your "stats" are meaningless. Playing nobody gets you nowhere and no respect. Nothing else to say.

From the Boys HS thread. Could easily be speaking to the Girls Parents too - the few are ruining it for the many:
Halfway through the season and Parent chirping is at an all time high. Every week games are being stopped and Parents are being escorted out. Please let the players play, coaches coach, and refs ref. The only impact your screaming has is to embarrass yourself, your kid, and your program. No ref ever picked up a flag because Joe Shmoe (who cant even run 10 yards without a coronary but somehow knows more about the game than the Creator) screams about a foul they thought they saw from 40 yards away. I’m sure, if asked, the kids would rather play without the parents watching. Parents, please stay classy - no need to have an aneurysm when things don't go the way you thought they should - chill the ‘F’ out, for your kid’s sake. This year the reffing quality is at an all time low, likely leading to frustration on all ends (players, parents coaches and refs). When the refs start to lose control the girls get frustrated and start taking shots at each other. With Covid and the condensed season (frequent games) the ref numbers are spread thin, causing many new and JV refs (with little experience) to be brought up to ref important games that are usually assigned to the more experienced refs. The speed on the game overwhelms the less experienced ref. and they lose control or the game. Also I have witnessed many of these inexperienced refs being overly sensitive to moans and groans that veteran refs ignore (not referring to the outright comments because those are unnecessary, but the moans ("What" and "Awe" and "Man') the crowds make when a questionable call is made) , and getting the refs are getting flustered very easily and their inexperience shows even more. The parents who outright say stuff need to stop, and the refs need to grow a thicker skin as well. You never see the Maureen (Blonde ref) lose her cool or allow spectators get her flustered. Others need to follow her lead. Last night the RP coach was yapping at the refs about what he thought was a missed call and Maureen (pretty sure it was her) decided that was a good time to call an RP girl for wearing something on her wrist and they had to turn the ball over. Got her point across without having to say a word and shut him up for a while. Had to laugh.

I have watched a lot of lacrosse over the years and Floyd may have one of the best all around players in the county, maybe Long Island. The kid dominated us and was a pleasure to watch even though we lost. As long as that kid is on the field Floyd has a chance to win any game.

CM has been last in their league ever since the program had started. Stop hating now that they're actually winning games. Stats are stats and the girls earned every point that they got.

Was she on the field against Northport? Yes, in the box score, as well Commack, two of the better schools they play.

Stats can be very misleading. A player needs to pass the eye test. Some teams will have a player or two that jump out at you watching the game. They show off speed, quickness, athleticism, grit, hustle, IQ, skill and typically are accompanied with good stat lines. Top players jump off the page in a game, just watching them, the eye test. I will not identify teams or players, but not all of current stat leaders pass the simple eye test watching them play. Some of the opponents are so over matched, an average player versing these weak teams can rack up a months worth of points in a single game. Some teams play a ridiculously tough schedule and points are impossible to come by, and other teams play ridiculously weak schedule and points are for the taking. Add in strong teams need to share the ball among several strong players. Wanna know who the top players are? Do not look at the stats, look at the college commitments, the college coaches have done the work for you.

Do not look at the stats, look at the college commitments, the college coaches have done the work for you. HS Stats really are irrelevant, “ridiculously tough schedule” is a bit of a stretch though. Many teams have 8th and 9th graders starting along with players who will not play in college or they will play at a non-competitive level in college. I do agree with you in terms of “College Commitments & College Coaches”. The Coaches at the Top College Programs do a very good job at identifying the best players. For the most part the best coaches at the best programs consistently identify and bring in the top HS players. When all is said and done, the recruiting process is probably the most accurate barometer of how a player stacks up and where a player stands in relation to other players. What schools are making offers?

If you are not her parent it is troubling that you are following her box scores as closely as you are. If you’re going to brag about your daughter, people might what to see the evidence. What you do against top teams is very revealing. I agree that box scores don’t tell all. And sometimes a girl could have an off game, but they do give you a good idea when you look at how someone performs against different levels of competition since Suffolk has some very good teams, some average teams and a lot of extremely weak teams.

Besides her game officiating she does a great job on educating the girls (and coaches) as well before during and after games, mostly in the early part of the season. She truly helps grow the game.

Who has the best chance to beat Bayport this season? Or will they run the table? At the beginning of the season the answer would have been sayvile, but they lost their two top juniors offensively for the season, talented team but do not have the depth to deal with that loss of players. Never count Mt Sanai out, I know they had their butts handed to them by bayport regular season, Although Mt Sinai is a down year, Bert always finds a way to compete with Bayport.

Nice BTB goal from the PSU commit on a field player playing goal. Get a grip people. SWR is pretty good. I hope they make playoffs and ruin all your seasons. They pulled their starters mid way thru second half today and emptied the bench. Probably could have won by 20 if they left them in.

Their goalie was not a field player... They put their backup goalie on the field. Why would you comment that when you are blatantly wrong?

So West Bab blows out SWR, while CM blows out a 5th grade pal team while stat padding the whole time. Have some dignity. Both these teams are irrelevant. Such selfish play by both. Grow up, you are both not competitive.
