Apex showcases..... Are these worth the money to check out? Generally No. For a 25 this early in the process, heck no. These showcases have the most value for girls who play for under the radar clubs. Reality noone from a top maryland club or even a B club don't really have exposure issues. The only showcase I have seen with some value is Lacrosse Masters, which is great for girls targeting NESAC (top new england private schools in D3). Agreed that for 2025, this is early in the process but showcases are vital for all players, regardless of the club you play for, especially now more than ever. The CB Laxers NY Showcase on January 10th has a lot of NESCAC’s attending and other perennial power D2/D3 colleges. They also run other great showcases but this is a good one to get a taste for what showcases are like for the future but will also help to get on the coaches radars. Where is this being held? At the Spots Underdome in Mt. Vernon NY. Here is the site www.cblaxers.com

It is definitely not late in the game to switch clubs and will continue for the next two years at least...
It is hilariously early for 8th or 9th grade girls to be doing showcases unless you like to put stress on your daughter or want the practice. Totally feeding into the money grab. No one is watching or cares what is going on from a college perspective in 8th grade...

Well, there is a breakpoint between "better deals" and "good riddance". Player skill and parental pain are both factors. You may think your daughter is "god's gift" to lacrosse and the team, but the coaches see the deficiencies and how they affect the team as well...not listening, passing. There are too many girls that will get into the car and end up crying because they didn't shoot enough or score goals to satisfy Mom or Dad's fragile egos. All kids want to please their parents and that pressure causes many to do the wrong thing. Hurts the team and the coaches know it and the other parents see it and know it as well. "Go ... (insert name) shoot it, every team has them... Change eventually works for everyone...have at it.

With multiple teams at this age group, at least 7-10 on LI alone, the author of the post could be referencing any of these teams......the author seems to know specific information about specific kids on a specific team......why make the post without mentioning the details? If not willing to include details then don't make the post.

There's been nonsensical jabbering for a few months now about the four horsemen are leaving their current 2025 team (no details on which team they're actually from) to save another LI team (again, unclear which one or of it actually needs to be saved). People seem to think that "you know who you are" wink wink, nod nod passes for facts and if they're able to get a couple people who know even less about the situation to pile on it becomes gospel. Can we come up with some new material for the new year people?

Lol. Most uncompetitive grade. Oh no, my ego... Girls will be fine.
Oh, and do you really want your name called out as the parent that no one wants to stand next to on the sideline because you are so painful?

False. All the parents are on one side and the players and coaches are on the other.

The top ten will beat each other often when they get to high school ages. Happens with all other years and will happen with 2025's. Those with older daughters know this is true.

They all go to the same high school? No. The thing thing special about Team Spallina is he beats selfish play out of them. The parents are cowed. Unlike most teams where parents are telling Little Suzy to "go to goal!", on Spallina's team the parents are afraid to open their mouths. So yes, they are on another level but it's not because of any particular talent the girls have. JS could take a bag of gummy bears and coach them to win. Each one would stick to a different tooth in your mouth. When they get to their high school team I'll give even odds that at least half will do more harm than good. Mom and Dad will finally have an outlet to tell them "Go to goal! You play for Spallina. Your coach doesn't know what he's doing!"

Who cares.. 8th grade and have not played a real tournament since 2019.There are going to be 12 very upset families when they do play because they will never touch the field. Good Luck. You don’t get recruited by your team only by how you can play.

Wrong. Spallina's team is just in another level... Spoken by someone without older girls who have played for top ten teams in other high-school age brackets. Come back and comment after their soph year. Goes for all clubs at this level.

This summer will tell a lot about many of the teams. I believe the gap will get smaller between many of the top teams. There will be some movement after this summer for sure. seeing that nobody was able to move this past year due to Covid. It is really Janelli, TG, Lomo and maybe legacy. After that the other teams just do not match up. Jesters at this age is not very talented and either is Elevate. If Janelli or TG add a few top players, they are not that far away.

Ton of reasons, Most which start with "Daddy thinks I should...."
The TG rumor has subsided for the time being, purportedly because the phantom girls in question were outed and have circled the wagons. My guess is it was rumor started by a jealous parent (or two) who believes their daughter is "on another level" and little Sally should be playing ahead of said phantom girl, since she was a fourth grade stand out and all...
