Doubtful that the post was written by a WI parent.

Class A is up for grabs this year with or without West Islip. Ward Melville has to be the favorite but not a lock. Should be an interesting year.

Farmingdale was not competitive last year. What changed? Pequa underclassmen got plenty of experience, and the coaching isn't close. Massapequa will win it all easily. EASILY

I think Port has some really nice players that will surprise many people. Not a Port parent. Syo good but not enough. FDale and Pequa will fight it out in the end. My team will unfortunately lose to all of them.

We should see more drop in as the season gets going. It’s early.

Haven't seen the list of 25. How many in that list are public schools?

Mt. Sinai will be ranked by year end, as will CSH. Inside Lacrosse is pretty decent with their rankings. US lacrosse practically just submitted last years final as this year's preseason... way off... and no respect to Jersey by US Lax...

The only way Massapequa can be a top tier team is if they have some stud '21's and 22's. The 20's are not an elite group-good but not elite-trying not to disparage, just being real. Hughie don't play for pequa when school is in session...

Still good enough to beat everyone in A handily.

13th grade refers to a Post Graduate year that many of the New England privates have, whether the kids did repeat 8th or 9th grade or not.

I guess those all those recent expulsions will not affect the team at all?

It all starts from the head coach all the way down the line.

Yaphank game aside, you don't think that team is worthy of the conversation in Suffolk and beyond? Interesting. Wondering what you know about the team that I don't. I thought they were one of Suffolk's strongest teams last year, got upset in the playoffs and bring back a lot? Save the sarcasm for your cumare and share some insight. Thanks Chewblockhead.

They don't even play Yaphank but need to watch out for East Hampton / Montauk..

Nutty buddy is definitely the way to go. More comfortable with jock strap than shorts.

Go Syosset! Love the confidence. Remember to be gracious in defeat should it occur. Looking for MacArthur to pull an upset or two this season.

To the bravado cup guy...great advice. If your son were really that manly he'd just shed the cup entirely and freeball. Get him a barbwire tattoo on his arm, grow some facial scruff like you, jack up the pick up truck neither you nor he can really afford that you are fully leveraged on and have him man up. Walk the walk south shore tough guy! And when is my garbage getting picked up? Late today in sunny Brookville.

Syosset? Worst coached team on LI. Never won a NY State Championship ever - despite having many talented Teams / players over the years. Syo kids are all soft these days - told they are great by their parents. So funny to see the dads on the sidelines. Get a life Bro!

What an stunad. Guess you don't want grandchildren. Goalies should wear as much protection in that area that they can handle without affecting their movement.

What ever happened to the Igloo connection with the Syosset coaching staff?

Repeating of 9th grade has become more common on LI when kids move from public to the athletic factory catholic schools. Not pervasive, but certainly more common. St. A's lax has a number of such kids throughout its program.

Seems like it's common everywhere. Was just watching Dyson Williams score a bunch for Duke. He's their 20 year old freshman.
