Naw man. There’s 8 attack on the 2023 teams. Ridiculous. Can promise all the college coaches you want. But when you get 5 mins of playing time in a 30 min game. How’s that worth $450 bucks? Oh, and you were promised no more than 4 attack per team. I assume people will ask credit card for $$ back.

Is it true the Igloo Elite 80 has 8 attack per team for 2023? Wasn’t it promised to be 4? Sounds like a bait and switch. Ha you got duped. They were actively recruiting for kids a week ago. If it was that good would have been sold out months ago. They need a ton of kids to pay for these big Names to attend. They also have to turn a profit. 2023’s should not be doing showcases, they are not looking at you and your the showcases profitability bracket. Even the famed showtime is a waste of your money at this age, few years ago was different.

Nobody is going to disagree that Elite 80 pulls the best college coaches in the country to attend the event but the point of all showcases is to be seen and playing roughly 10 minutes if you are an attack player just stinks. Showcases are hit or miss to begin with depending on whether or not you have a good fogo and can possess the ball on offense. Couple that with limited playing time and it is a losing combination. The one upside is you can get your son used to the intensity of prospect days and showcase events which can be daunting but not for approx. 30 minutes over three games for $495. That's roughly $16.50 per minute of time.

I agree with that. But if AA promises only 4 attack on a team and then takes 8 attack are we as a community just supposed to say, “ you got screwed too bad”? Or should there be consequences for people like that who take advantage of fellow parents?

May have to add he's probably smartest on the team as well going to the event while the rest of the players skipped out.

That Express team has 5 boys who on any given day could be considered the best. There is no single player on that team who is head and shoulders above everyone else. That said, judging by the ego, this is clearly the dad of the ex PT player.

I don't think the real elite players skipped out, LI HS sports were still playing games on Saturday, either Football and Soccer seasons had games. Big mistake by Igloo to not check with the HS schedules for 2023s, should avoid Saturdays in the fall, by the way the 2022 also had PSAT or SATs. My advice IGLOO CHECK THE SCHEDULES -- put it on a Sunday.

The head coaches are just collecting their 5k-6k checks plus travel expenses and are not 'recruiting' anybody from this event.

Any event that is selling a showcase to 2023's. Anyone that thinks their son is being recruited by any coach in 9th grade is far too gullible. But in this instance, Igloo Elite 80.

Colleges are not interested in this age group as a whole. Sure, they may look at a few studs and keep tabs on them but the other 98% have time to develop physically and mentally. That is the beauty of the not so new rules. There are still plenty of freshman that are 5'5'-5'8" that are solid players but cannot compare to that kid that has been 6" for the past year. Mark my words, by 10th grade, most of them catch up and then it becomes interesting and fun. There will always be those studs that are either naturally great or work their buts off to become great. They will get recruited first and rightfully so but for the rest of our sons, enjoy the next year because the real work begins next Fall.

What were they thinking making the brackets today for the tournament. The bandit bracket has like 10 teams in it. True national playing turtles, rebels and express 9th team. Why wouldn’t they be playing in bandit And west coast bracket. Is this like the Dukes, play in a weak division to blow out teams for Marketing purposes?

Honestly, you never know what you’re getting with True National. Sometimes not enough kids travel. The last few times I’ve seen them they did not do well at tourneys. True is beginning to spread itself thin with all of their new teams. But I know what you’re saying. They certainly should not have played in the weakest bracket. Turtles are set up for another long season.

I saw them there Saturday sons team played them second game and they looked very impressive I will also say I don't believe that they had more than 2/3 subs so that combined with the Fall Classic Sunday they probably only chose to play one day. I will say that Mesa and eclipse could be two surprise teams in this age group. I Amy also be wrong but I don't believe shore to shore and 91 are affiliated
