It nice to see other teams give the big dogs a run for their money. That's what makes LI lax players the best in the country! Whose gonna fall next ?

Riverhead, I thought cow bells or any artificial noise makers were permitted in the games.

Can always use more cow bell It was a huge win for Bay Shore with or without the cowbell! No one thought they would even come close to winning! The only goals Smithtown scored were on a 2 min non- releasable and penalties that at some points were gifts from the referees. One of the stronger teams that have gone through the Bay Shore program.

Sorry LiLJ you must be drinking someones Kool-Aide
A more realistic list knowing the boys and teams
Chaminade (Nice win on your big day) St Anthony's (They are some traveling fools)
Manhasset Garden City Smithtown West
Mt Sinai (Will only move as high as 2nd/3rd after a LIC)
Ward Melville Massapequa (Great win over Syosset, didnt doubt it for a minute) Bay Shore (Nice win over Smithtown, some who know these two teams saw this coming)
Cold Spring Harbor (Bethpage is a waiting) Syosset Northport (Great win over Sachem North, big game with Bay Shore this week) Riverhead
SouthSide Shoreham Wading River (Playoffs will show how high they can go) Harborfields or Bayport (big Game on Weds decides this jumps over Shoreham Wading River) Wantagh

SouthSide Shoreham Wading River (Playoffs will show how high they can go) Harborfields or Bayport (big Game on Weds decides this jumps over Shoreham Wading River) Wantagh Completely agree, LILJ is way off with their high school lacrosse rankings. 1) Chaminade 11-0, opponents 125-55 (69% winning percentage), 5 opponents in IL top 25 2) St. Anthony's 13-1, opponents 144-49 (75% winning percentage), 8 opponents in IL top 25 3) Manhasset 4) Garden City 5) Massapequa 6) Smithtown West 7) Ward Melville 8) Mt. Sinai 14-0, opponents 94-94 (50% winning percentage), ZERO opponents in IL top 25 9) Bayshore 10-14) Syosset/CSH/Riverhead/SWR/Harborfields Mt. Sinai, very good team having a great season, but come on........Schedule, schedule, schedule. Most importantly, they would have serious problems vs Chaminade, SA, Massapequa, SW, GC and Manhasset because their offense wouldn't possess the ball. And before you complain about Section XI, WM figured out how to schedule some quality out of conference teams.

Manhasset is over-rated at #8. They were completely dominated by Chaminade.
St. Anthony's and Chaminade may trade victories back and forth, but those two are playing on an entirely different level than the rest of the teams on Long Island.

Wait till playoffs than all ur bs ratings go out the window. Says the West Islip dad. And for the post about Manhasset being over rated and getting dominated, most teams would be dominated in that game. The most overated team is SWR. You talk about Mt Sinai not pushing the SOS (I get it, good points, thank you for promoting my view of not #1 but undefeated has got to mean something, 6 or 8 splitting hairs), but back to SWR. Mt Sinai handedly beat SWR. I'd put Northport ahead of SWR. I also think you need to add Bayport, I would love be to see that game against Harborfields. Also would love it if Newsday broke down Suffolk like they do with Nassau. Show us Suffolk Div 2 teams as Div 2-B, Div 2-c, Div 2-D.

Don't know much about Boys Lacrosse but I do know that Chaminade is playing better than the rest of The Island. St. Anthony's is a very good team but I think they are in the same grouping as SW, WM, Pequa, GC, Manhasset. Right now Chaminade is all alone IMHO. Playoffs should be fun.

Chaminade and St As are great teams. If they play ten times, it most likely would be 5-5. St As team has received all the hype with some of their players getting national attention while Chaminade has not. The Chaminade juniors have really stepped up and have been playing some great lacrosse. Chaminade plays as a team, there are no prima donas

What about Commack and Sachem East, do they get to .500. Do they make it in over Floyd or Middle Country that is a big game. Can Lindenhurst squeeze in 8 wins and find the 12th spot. Power points vs record thought you had to be .500 or better

Used to be, regardless of what the Sectional bracket outline states 12 or 6 games, you needed 8 league wins to qualify. Is there any truth to them reducing the teams to 11 and 5 teams then the 5th in A and the 3rd in B get a bye?

3rd wave of UA out, many deserving seniors left out . Seems like they love the private school kids over the publics. A shame. Also picking kids from other regions who are no way as talented as those from LI to "Grow the game". The event does not showcase the best talent, so it makes those picked better than they are. Political nonsense!

5 Bay Shore 6 Smithtown East 7 Riverhead 8 Huntington
9 Sachem East 10 Connetquot
11 Commack 12 Sachem North
how in the wide world of sports does Commack get in under .500 and Floyd and Middle Country at 8-6 doesnt.

WI looking at them this year will not go far this year , as for next year they are losing goalie , face-off guy , #1 defense-man those are difficult positions to replace ... But thankfully you have the crazy parents returning
