Just remember one thing he has NOT forced ANYONE to pay him, they do it of their own free will. If they feel he's worthy of their $3600.00 then that is there money and they can spend it however they want ! My son is not on this team but we did tryout and he was nothing but honest with us and gave us a fair evaluation of his strength and weaknesses. People need to get a life and get off JM's case !

Totally agree. Kids are in HS now playing older kids so forget about holdbacks. If someone wants to pay for something let them, most people know what they are getting so we don't need to hear about Money grabs - when you think about, all Club Lacrosse is a money grab. And the guy who keeps writing about JM and United stop already, if you have a problem with him go confront him but nobody really cares about JM or United.
---- You foolish enough to think only one guy is writing about Dingleberry and United?
Josh Dingleberry or Marksberry pissed off so many people Even 91 laughs at him and sent him to crappy fields at 91 tournaments, so he left, and joined DLT to say he has a AA team. He is going on 3 years with a losing record, can't win more than 1 low level tourney per year. So many can't stand him, the moderator isn't gonna post the same person typing different stuff.
Still on the team bc we have no where to go. Same with other kids. Couple were smart and did not come back for tryouts. Couple were dropped. Most others couldn't get on other teams. United was great in 5th/6th, but couldn't win a tourney in 7th grade and 8th grade (OK, 1 tourney win when Coach Rob coached in 7th Grade) even though Dingleberry takes parents money, promises only 24 kids on a roster and keeps adding until there are 30+. Unfortunately, the team still kept losing. Kids are really good, great skill sets, but bad coaching and coaches have no clue how to rotate players with 30+ kids have killed the team over the past few years.
Some parents are his long time drinking buddies and will never leave him. Dingleberry has so many close friends on the team, he has to play their son's cause he sees them over the weekends and their mom's babysit his kids for free kids too!
Now, Dingleberry doesn't promise to limit the roster. He says he will take as many kids as needed to win. We went 0-4 at Fall Lacrosse Classic in a B division and 2-2 at King of the Mountain in a B division. - looks like this is gonna be another 30+ roster year, maybe 40+!
Josh is so dumb, he has not collected all the money yet from players so some of us are thinking of bailing, but our kids are so afraid to say they don't play travel lax, especially in 9th grade. If it's true what people are saying about this coach, parents are nuts for allowing their kids to remain on the team. so parents WILL never learn, they will continue to allow coaches to blow smoke up their butts, and belittle their kids. People get a grip on yourselves,

Love the game but this soccer model process is terrible.

You are Exactly right. Plenty of other clubs or now what a lot of them are being called, 'Showcase Teams' have a better Team (maybe not teams if they even have multiple teams) so those who continue writing their checks for 5k to Express & 91 bc you were or are mislead that you must play for them to get recruited. SO far from the truth. And it's also us Parents faults for writing checks to other clubs like flg, igloo, and more mediocre teams. Look at the new program Rebels this year, they charge 5k tuition - that is insane. Go play for a showcase team like sting, 365 Lax, Sweetlax and others or pass your knowledge down to your friends/colleages/family/etc so they don't make the same mistake a lot of us did.

So my son is a pretty good player. Wondering if I get a big pickup truck whether that will make him a better player and me a more hardcore father. Seems if your kid plays lacrosse you need to get a big truck despite it having nothing to do with your job or lifestyle. Do you need a truck to lug a cooler and a lax bag to tournaments? Backseat and trunk doesn’t work? Nothing better than these little guys getting out of big trucks looking like fools. If your kid played tennis would you have a truck?

So my son is a pretty good player. Wondering if I get a big pickup truck whether that will make him a better player and me a more hardcore father. Seems if your kid plays lacrosse you need to get a big truck despite it having nothing to do with your job or lifestyle. Do you need a truck to lug a cooler and a lax bag to tournaments? Backseat and trunk doesn’t work? Nothing better than these little guys getting out of big trucks looking like fools. If your kid played tennis would you have a truck? do you have any idea of what an stunad you sound like????

Funny I see you throwing around that “Stunad” all over back of the cage. Is that your tough guy word?

Funny someone has now taken to criticizing the type of car someone chooses to drive... something tells me the said stunad with the little you know what would be driving a jacked up truck whether is son played lacrosse or cup stacking. no correlation.

whats the real story about what the top, top player are hearing from colleges these days? do they communicate interest via clubs? are there no indications of interest until able to communicate? seems unrealistic.

I am new to Long Island and looking for a team for my son. He plays defense and LSM, not being that parent but he is pretty darn good. I am wondering if any teams are looking for a player? If anyone knows please put it on here so I can contact the team. Thanks !!!!

So I heard through the grapevine that the Chan team is losing alot of its top players to other teams. I guess he is losing his "magic" touch.

The ones that are the difference makers (starters) have not gone anywhere. Maybe some of the other 28 may leave, but they are only on the team because they asked to be and are there to practice with elite players.. Go check another grapevine.

I guess there are a lot of incorrect grapevines! I think parents are sick of their kids sitting on the bench watching the same 15 kids play. There is a ton of talent leaving that he probably wont even miss because CoachC knows it all.

Every roster is set and the ones that will take players will not win a game. If fact, once you commit it's hard to find a spot that is worthwhile. So you will travel all over this summer starting in a few weeks to play or not and never in a meaningful minute. Recruiting next summer. I hear college coaches asking all the time who was that kid on the bench that played 2 minutes.

I hear coaches names thrown around all the time, parents under the impression these names are going to do something for their kids. It's all about the money regarding some coaches and the parents fear of missing out. Lastly, think about how much time and money was spent up to this point allowing your boy to play lacrosse?

If your unhappy with your current situation and your child is a great player being ignored by Chan Im sure there are numerous teams that he can play on. The rosters are NEVER set in 15 year old lacrosse.
