Not likely. What is this based on? Certainly not fall results. Madlax Beat 91. 91 has blown our Crabs every time they have played. FCA blew out Crabs. No way RR is better than Hawks.

Fall results don't matter. DCE lost to Hawks and then blew them out several weeks later. Koopers/Dukes depends on who shows up that week. RR are enigmatic: some of the League's best players but not enough depth. Hawks are solid but inconsistent. Crabs look to make the biggest jump in the standings due to their seasoned coaching staff. FCA will always shine but the two team concept may prove to dilutive in the short run. 91 looks a lot weaker than before as does MadLax and API

it was purely a guess as stated and more of bait for ass clowns like you to jump all over. Thanks for not disappointing. Where would we all be without the investigating reporting for this age group. The reporters who go to games to watch other teams play on days their kids team is home. Keep up the good work-

The best teams are "the best" for two reasons:
1) They recruit from other teams making their team better and the other team worse
2) They get holdbacks - best way to be bigger, stronger, faster.

Coaching is of little importance at this age.

As the Dukes proved, just pull together some great kids and with no practices and they can beat the best regular season team easily.

Couldn't disagree more. Coaching has been huge the past few years and will continue to be this year. Many games were won last year due to in game situational coaching. For as much as these kids practice the coaching they are getting is instrumental in their development. Dukes are no different, yes they had studs all over the field but they were also very well coached. They played a lot together last year with the same coaches. Dukes also lost games last year and this fall.(because they were out coached).
It is very clear the teams over the past years that have not progressed and it is due directly to coaching. Kids can only hit the wall so many times and work on their individual game. This is a team sport. Every team is beatable , every team this year is bigger, stronger, faster and have holdbacks. The difference will be the Coaching!

A couple practices and 2 tournaments 3 months apart is not "a lot". Coaching had little to do with it.

Is it good for the kids to be OVER coached? If the have 15 set plays and drill them to perfection and win games by finding holes in the other teams D, does this make your son a better player and more prepared for High School Lacrosse? Its like in football at the youth level. I can teach my team 15 trick crazy plays that will catch the other team by surprise and allow me to score 15 Touch Downs. Does this make my youth team better football players?

BOO. My comment was deleted. I thought my comment was pithy and relevant as we needed a definition of an [ChillLaxin]ChillLaxin] to get the full impact of the previous statement. [ChillLaxin]ChillLaxin] may be a complement. I may want to be the best [ChillLaxin]ChillLaxin] possible.

this is exactly what api has done and why they were good in elementary school but not very good now. they only ran plays, they did not teach their players how to play lacrosse. they played a very simple zone, they did not teach their players how to play defense. they had very good players but they did not teach or coach them - so many of those players left to go to other teams where they are now coached. those who stayed are suffering the consequences.

Offense in lacrosse has to develop. Just like on fast breaks you have 5 options. You take what the defense gives. Settled offense is about movement and catching the defense out of position. 15 plays is a laugh. Move the ball, dodge, draw two and dump. Skip pass and double skips, Ball speed and off ball movement will kill all defenses. If you coach is only teaching plays, he is missing the sport entirely.

Are you referring to 1 single game? The last game of the year for a team that won 98% of their games from fall ball- winter indoor-undefeated spring league and 1 loss in the final game of a hot 2 day slug fest to a team that was completely fresh for that tournament and that particular day-- 1 game clearly doesn't mean as much as an entire year. Coaching had a lot to do with that teams success. As proven the next time the same 2 teams met this fall. How did those few studs fair against a well coached fresh team with a ton of good talent-
To say coaching has little to do with a teams overall success clearly states you have no idea about this game. Sure , like every sport if you put an all star team together they will most likely but clearly not always when against most teams.

LOL, Holdback Troll, Talent matters no doubt and is the most important variable. That being said, less talented teams well coached teams can consistently beat more talented teams with poor coaching. Coaching matters the most when it comes to development. Do players and the team progress and how fast? The better the staff and the more committed the kids and their parents are, the faster the players and team progress. Scouting, practice and game planning, and in game adjustments start to matter at the elite middle school level. Based on my experience coaching several A Conference championship teams, it takes 3-4 years of coaching at the elite high school or top flight collegiate level to really learn the craft. What I can tell you, is a top flight coaching staff with a modicum of talent will run circles around the traditional "rec" coach even one with a loaded all start team. That being said, this is lacrosse which is more like basketball than football: translation, coaches impact outcomes in football more than hoops and lax.

API daddy back at it. Did you write both quotes ?

API and Hawks; Hatfields and McCoys. Need a "Go Fund Me" page to support "marriage counseling" for this VERY UNNECESSARY feud being fought out anonymously (aka cowardly) and publicly (stinks the life out of others cruelly while trying to otherwise enjoy to any extent the world of youth sports.

Hawks are more open this year in recruiting for next year already. They have quite a few guest players each week on their indoor teams. I hear they are looking to steal 1 or 2 for the spring/summer? Never ends

Guest player is a retread. former holdback goalie who couldn't make the team.

Get over yourself. Dukes was missing half their team that Sunday because of another tournament in Philly. And Hawks won on a last second goal. Those teams aren’t close at full strength. Fresh or not.

Get over myself? Really? Im not the one bragging about an ALL STAR team beating a team 1 time and stating coaching has nothing to do with success at this age group. Dukes is always missing half their team which is the excuse for every loss.If they had their entire team they would have 50 boys on the sideline. What half is that? The ALL Star players from LI or PA? Here is a good question for ya. How did your boys regular team fair last year? Here is another one for ya, if any Hawk player wanted to play for the Dukes than your kid would not have a spot - Your kid would never get the call to play in a local tournaments but they would your take your money.
Dukes is a very good ALL Star team and nothing more . Very fun to watch as it should be with all the talent they have.
Have a great weekend! Cheers

Will any teams move up from the AA level?
Will any of the teams move down from the elite division?
