The reason for the multiple brackets is to ensure good competition for every level of teams. The big programs that have 2 teams in our boys age bracket don’t want to play each other at tournaments. People on here always complain that one team plays down to win t shirts and how they would get killed in a true A bracket. Instead of B+ how about A, B,C brackets. Who cares. What I care about is my sons team playing a team that is a little better or a little worse. There should not be 15-2 games in any bracket. But with only A and B brackets... Sure some tournaments have AA brackets, but that’s few and far between for the local tournaments. My son has been on both sides of blowouts. It is not fun for anyone..

Are you in the right age group? Express doesn't have those teams in 2023....?

I am not sure if this is what you are referring to but Harding does a lot of stuff out of Oyster Bay

That's in November - we're talking Columbus Day.

We are playing at TR park on Columbus Day, so maybe they are moving fall brawl to an earlier day or maybe just a different organization altogether? I wasn’t told a name for the event though.

Any input on teams playing at legacy's tournament on Columbus day, nothing posted yet

You probably need to wait till around Wednesday. In the past, legacy some outlaws, some express, Warriors and I think South Shore Thunder (which will carry some Igloo and True Blue kids if they are not playing with their main clubs). Don’t think and 91 teams will be there this year though.

Wow, that's interesting. The parents don't even know about the fact that their kids would be playing in this event. If you are one of the owners I would suggest that you start telling the parents.

TB A is playing in the scrimmage, TB B is playing in E.I.

Which S2S team is playing at which location?

S2S A, Igloo A, TB A and Ducks not sure which Ducks don't know anything about them will be at the scrimmage.

Which organization is the best at teaching, training and developing the kids to become better lax players? I'm not asking for the best or top team but for the lacrosse club that teaches and produces better player.

Everyone's going to have their own opinion as to who's best. Helps to have a team with "better" teams. that way they are working on more than basics and can get real work done. That's not to say the lower teams aren't getting work done. I've seen my son's on different level club's and it's night and day the level and type of practices they can have and what can be worked on. Do research, ask people who's opinion you trust, and try yo make the best decision for your son.

Everyone will give you a different answer, but look for the one that keeps the sticks in their hands the most. Love them or hate them, but 91 includes weekly trainings all winter and then both teams supplement with box training and tourneys so you’re getting training a minimum of 2x a week. I think Igloo offers weekly winter clinics too, but last year they were in Queens. Not sure what Express does, but I think the do some box tourneys. Not sure about the training though. A lot of the smaller teams have awesome coaching, but may not have access to the same amount of time as the bigger clubs.

The only way your son gets better is by playing. These teams will take 26 kids to Maryland and only play 12 kids. Your son does not get better watching other kids play.

Express does 3 fall tourneys, 10-15 fall practices, intensive winter skills training by top instructor George Powers and box
