Api kid went to Hawks because it was free .. the api kid that went to hawks did not pay to play at api either. his dad was spouting off about that all summer. Sounds like the dad is the only smart one on here, or maybe in all of club lacrosse. Who cares if they paid or not. These API dads have nothing else to do but bash anything happening with the Hawks. Some people on here to give 2 cents about either team.

Evergreen is doing a great job of dominating this thread and promoting the Evergreen. Even keeping it classy and humorous. But tell us why you named your club Evergreen? Just sounds weird and blah. Mascot a tree? The band? Or just tying it to the in-house program of the facility? And where are you? Virginia right?

When you first pull it you will see the church on the right named Evergreen. Now I have no idea if the complex is labeled as a full business or has real church ties or not.

It's a way for a church to make money. Just like Word of Grace uses those fields and that church in Chantilly had the N-Zone (is that still around)?
Makes a lot of sense for churches to do use their property to make money renting it out for field space.
No idea about the church, but the talent in the club is dreadful. They are trying to make a splash, though. Talent pool out there is marginal, but they are taking advantage of 3d's collapse.

At least be honest. Some parents are probably fine, but most of them are delusional, thinking that nice grandstands means the teams are good. They are terrible teams at Evergreen. They just got started and may get there, but unlikely given the weak talent pool out there.

Good God, all of this Evergreen crap has made this forum boring to read. Yawn. I actually find it funny and new. The good news is that all of this may come to an end on 10/1 when they play MadLax. However, should this be a tight game or win for Evergreen? I expect even more from the Evergreen faithful. Evergreen does have great facilities, top level coaching from D1 and even MLL players, football and soccer programs. In the past the only thing missing was A level talent. The 2022 team moved from 3d and added some other talented players. This team did win HOCO AAA (not Elite) as was the strongest group from 3d. Can they beat the top Elite teams? No, However with the new coaching and additions to the team, they could be at the bottom end of the Elite group. This group also mostly plays together on the Evergreen Hammer's football program. Either way publicity will attract new players to look at the team. A win over MadLax will change the conversation.

You can tell a terrible club when their parents say the stupidest things.

Cavs and Evergreen both belong in port-a-johns. That is just not true they are a great feeder system to Madlax, VLC and Blackwolf. Every high school in NOVA now has a Varsity lacrosse team. So these teams need kids to play for them. The more clubs the better for Public School lacrosse. But NOVA only has talent for 3 and a half top elite D1 some day teams. So EG will never be in the top 3 unless one of the others fold for another reason.

Understand that HoCo is considering going to a Super Elite bracket that will have only the very top top 2022 teams. Hawks, DCExpress, Dukes, RR, T91 and Evergreen are sure bets. Evergreen will be the favorite in this bracket That's a very bold statement! I cant wait to see this team play. From nowhere to AA Elite Champions over night? That's some serious off-season magic!!

Daddy makes enough money .. free ride that was the deal to come over That is what daddy has been telling everyone free to go to the Hawks The Hawks were a great team last season. They added a young man who was selected 1st team all world at his position. You also weaken a major rival by taking the heart and soul of the team away. You do what you have to when you are taking the next step as a team. What does "1st Team All-World" mean at 2022 club lacrosse? Are there some studs in Indonesia or Iceland competing for this title? How does an 8th grader make the 2022 All-World Team and who was sad enough to vote for it?

Can we all agree api(DBacks)was the best 3 grade team ever. Now in 8 grade not so much lost their better players and have not replace them. 7 kids from last years team has moved on to different teams. Maybe when API drops down to the B division they can bring back the Cannons/API rival. #3gradelaxdoesnotmeananytging.

Once the kids get to HS all this will be forgotten. API is what they is. A solid team.

BTW, the last time BLC 2022 and Madlax played an actual Spring HOCO game, Madlax won. Both are good teams and the talent and skill level isn't even comparable to the other 2022 clubs in the DC area.

The Evergreen owner is posting fake news to stir up interest in his joke of a club. Evergreen is not a real club, and it never will me. Don't fall for it. There was no Madlax/Evergreen game. Evergreen only had 13 kids that couldn't throw or catch. So there was a controlled scrimmage instead. Complete waste of time for all the Madlax players.
