Is it really a Dukes National team or is Koopers just importing some ringers from PA,NJ and NY? It all comes down to numbers and team chemistry. Plenty of talented high school teams have failed to win a championship because they had 4 stars and 2 B- players on offense or defense. Opposing teams were able to shut off or slide fast to the top four offensive players and the remaining two couldn't finish. On offense, if the opposition has a more balanced offense, they can isolate the two weak links using off ball movement and/or a two man game and get quality time and room shots. If teams get a lot of film on this super team, they can be exposed by a talented team with better chemistry and coaching. In joy caring about winning with travel lacrosse this is the last year anyone will really care about it. Its all about college eyes the rest of the way.

DC Express B Team will be better than most HoCO teams save for 5-6 Elite teams. Should be even/beat Madlax and API.

The only kids they are missing from the normal team are the ones that play for FCA, API and 91

No, Shallow Hal, its about winning an MIAA, WCAC, IAC or State title after this. The college stuff will take care of itself: if you're son is good enough, he will get recruited. If your son has collegiate potential (height, speed, skill, field IQ) and continues to develop he will get picked up. Its that simple.

Last year proved there will not be a Dominant team from start to finish. It's a very long year and hard to grind out every tournament . HOCO league was very competitive with the Hawks going undefeated. That is hard to do and it will be tough to repeat that. All other clubs got better and better as the summer tournaments started. Its hard to grind out 4 and 5 games every weekend. Talent and teams are too good. All the big tournaments proved that last summer including the WSYL,NLF,2022 Championship,HHH,Naptown etc.. Even an ALL STAR team will not be able to run the table. Teams are too good. I think if you are just talking about teams with kids all living within 50 miles of each other, Hawks were fairly dominate. Losses to Dukes east coast all stars and Team 91 MD & TX were examples of how far you have to go to beat them. Too bad Hawks never played Igoo to see how the two best teams of local kids matched up.

Api pick up some good long poles , same attack kids and the about same talent at middies . They got 2 face kids but not good enough for elite division for HOCO . The face off kids are good for AA division . Api could drop down

The face off kids are good for AA division . Api could drop down Unless they lost the bulk of the team they will be just fine. I don't see them dropping down at all. Didn't they pick up a holdback goalie and a few more holdbacks. Plus what they had last year.

Buggs is an outcast in the lax community so keep on dreaming. Maybe he was a good player 20 years ago, but he hasn't done anything as a coach. Also, the old coach is still involved just like last year, don't fool yourself. API is a [lacrosse] show.

Buggs hasn't coach in a elite league . He drops teams down.. Not sure where you get information from. Buggs has coached several elite teams at the older levels and has had success . He is also heavily involved in the lax community and has been with Warrior from the very beginning. API will not drop down. He is highly qualified to coach that team. As far as the sideline losers its just unfortunate the rest of us will have to put up with it for another year. Hopefully they will let this coach teach their kids something and embarrass themselves or kids like every other year.

Not sure about 2022 at Laxworld, but LWLC 2024's can't field a team. Looks like a lot of clubs are struggling to fill rosters.

The LWLC 2021 Coach left right before tryouts so I don't think Laxworld has a 2021 team either. He went to Breakers & I think many of the LWLC boys followed him there.

Once showed up to coach his team halfway through the game when he showed up late after a night of drinking. Maybe if he can separate his personal life from his work life he can strive to be something more than a glorified figurehead.

Like getting rescued from the Titanic by the Hindenburg I view it differently. Breakers will be a "survivor" as clubs like LWLC, Bitmore and others fade into memory. There are, IMHO, too many clubs, and the environment will become one of consolidation. The growth of clubs in the last ten years apparently has outpaced the number of clients available to serve. Whatever the prior experiences at Breakers, perhaps with a new directorship and with greater player participation, the organization might flourish again. Who knows, but at least they will survive along with a handful of others in the Baltimore area and so at least have the opportunity to examine and reexamine itself with hopes of improving. I am not sure that Team 91MD has a long shelf life, along with Team 42, Green Turtle. Less competition will invariably result in better teams, better organizations, and perhaps multiple teams at grade levels which will permit better coaching of basic skills at the second level.

For those of us not "in the know", when did Buggs Combs show up late to a game and how do you know it was due to his drinking and staying out late at night? Was this a recent occurrence or are you simply digging up his past for your own purposes? By the way, were you or your family ever affiliated with API? I am not, but wonder what motivates people on this forum to being so viciously mean-spirited.

Koopers? We know they have some 2021 kids coming down to play 2022 but this team needs a lot of help now they are ranked #2 never seen them play before. It's not the existing Koopers 2022 team playing in HOCO. It's a combination of the 2021 Koopers kids and other Dukes Nationals players from PA, NJ and NY. They also picked up a kid that left Crabs It's 5 kids from Koopers 2021 including the leading scorers and goalie. The Philly/nj all stars will fill out the rest of the team. Basically, it's the core of kids that killed Hawks at Naptown. They may runaway with Hoco this year no matter who BLC/DCE and Hawks add. So for years the Koopers director dissed holdbacks. Now that he has some he will let them do this? Shame on you Ronny.
