Is S2S's A team really an "A" team? Sometimes yes sometimes no. They are somewhat of a hybrid team. When they are at full strength with they Honey Badgers they could be considered an A team. But when tournaments conflict not so much. You are thinking about the South Shore Thunder, not Shore2Shore (S2S). This past summer the only LI team S2S lost to was Express. They beat Outlaws and Legacy. Never played the Bandits, who had beaten them the previous summer and they never played Igloo but who from the Island did? Beating the outlaws and legacy is not saying much. Need to play express, bandits, warriors, true blue and empire.

Must be the Northport b team parents flexing their muscle. Go Northstars! Northport would crush the Outlaws select, double select, and triple select. Pretty simple set up a game We still going with this nonsense

But when tournaments conflict not so much. The question wasn't to debate if they are an A team or not by your standards. Call then the 1st if that makes you feel better. If you don't have an answer for the question move on.

You're putting Warriors, True Blue and Empire (Empire!?!?!?!) in the same category as Express and Bandits? S2S has played Express multiple times in tournaments over the last two years and beaten them twice and lost more than that. How many times have those other teams beaten Express? (the answer is zero) S2S doesn't "need" to play those teams. If they are at the same tournament and they are matched up, then they will play them.

Is this the Same S2S that lost to SYAG, Outlaws and Igloo last year in scrimmages? Solid team but not elite level by any stretch.

South Shore Thunder does not pull kids from Express Haugen. They are a total separate team put together from Merrick, Bellmore and Wantagh. They are all good friends and they enter in around 3 tournaments. The kids all play on separate club teams Haugen, Trueblue, Recon, Igloo and maybe a few others. They play together when they can all for fun.

They advertised as if a Suffolk team was forming, did a quick bait and switch then added to their last years team. You say New Team, so what are you saying about the kids that played on the team last year who are returning. Better watch what you ask for, you'll be shopping for another team again next year.

They have never had a good team at this age group, plus they play in horrible tournaments. I have never seen them play anywhere. But good luck FL$ I hope your team does well this up coming season.

I understand your frustration with NP, about 10 families combined have left your teams over last two years at this age group and a total of 15 families from multiple towns Huntington included have specifically left the top team, trying to isolate negative comments to NP might be good for business, but issues are wide and deep. Continuing to post disparaging nonsense about other peoples children will only continue this negative loop, your call, but probably best to let it go.

Where would F$G rank in this age group? Does anyone know how they did last year? and what changes will take place this coming season. We're not giving away our secrets to BOTC. Fl$ secret? It is no secret. They charge a lot of money and most tournaments they enter are their own tournaments and sometimes do tournaments with 3D. These are B level tournaments but since they run the tournament they can call it an A bracket. FL$ at their own tournaments set up the brackets so they play the worst teams and put the best teams in the other brackets Top two make the play offs from each bracket and they get smoked by a better B team in the playoffs after going undefeated beating C teams in pool play. They then tell their parents how good they did by making the playoffs when in reality they only beat the three worst teams that joined the tournament. 2018 is FL$ last good team. After that they are B and C teams at FL$. It's no secret. You never see them at the good tournaments at any age group. If they went they would have to enter the B bracket and explain to the parents why they are not playing in the A bracket. Easier to enter their own tournaments call the bracket filled with B teams an A bracket which they don't pay for and charge the parents a lot of money and control who they play to get in the playoffs. It is that simple.

Nobody likes Empire ? Why? I don't get it Because they are a good group of kids that are very competitive and have a good coach. For a fairly newer program they have proven that they have grown in their lacrosse play and IQ which makes them a dangerous team to compete against. Other programs/parents want to drag them into their soap opera lives because misery loves company.

Fall is a time for trying new things, new kids, new positions, etc... the only tourneys that matter are in the summer. Did you play any real tournaments last summer?
