Please , the last thing we need is to get API dads back on here with their excuses and hatred towards every other club. Everyone hopes that they have a solid team lined up so the negative daddies can't come on here crying the blues when they get beat.

OP here and I absolutely agree with you, but the fact is...I've never heard a rec or travel Coach at the youth, middle school or even high school level call a player a [lacrosse], or loser. I've never heard a coach tell a kid to quit or that they are fat and slow. I've seen plenty of parents on here post about the "lunatic coaches", but again I've never actually seen the coaches they routinely name do or say anything outrageous as claimed. The people making all the noise about lunatic coaches are parents who think that their little snowflake is a celebrity because Daddy is the CEO of Nabisco and should have special treatment. The crazy part is that in the end...it's the kid that they are hurting the most with their alt left, Dr. Spock non sense.

Eventually, they will be exposed to the real world. Learning those hard life lesson's for the first time in your 20's and beyond sucks.

Then you are very fortunate and you have never watched MM coach. He says all of that and worse. It is horrible for the kids, parents and the sport!
AMEN! Watched MM throwing his whiteboard like a frisbee at NLF, yelling F@#$ 10 times under his breath so loud you could hear it 30 yards away! Looked so angry he was literally spitting while yelling it, like he was going to kill one of his kids for losing a damn lacrosse game. I have seen 5 year olds with more composure during their temper tantrums. Hopefully he chills out this season since he has lost players and coaches over it.
Wow..MM is getting quite the reputation ! You would think that someone who makes a living off youth and HS lacrosse players would be a better role model for these same lacrosse players.
MM just can't handle in game situations and doesn't know how to himself on a sideline. He has been teaching your lacrosse for over 20 years to hundreds of kids and makes a living doing so. The moment he steps into a live game he can't control his temper.

The best Box league is the Goals Baltimore League in Catonsville.

Next Level runs a pretty good one in Rockville also. It is more like a bunch of pickup games than a real league.

Madlax runs one out of Dulles but it is mostly B teams.

It would be awesome if Nercc in Parkville could get something going on their multiple regulation indoor box fields.

DuBurns and Resisterstown Sportsplex have great single fields but have don't have strong leagues.

Myers pavilion has a really good box league for high school kids that Crabs and Rock were in last year.

There are a couple outdoor/indoor leagues with nets instead of boards at with MMILL at SoccerStop in Columbia and API may have a league.

Fisc in Frederick also has incredible multiple regulation box fields and has a league. Check the LaxFaxtory site.

3D runs a pretty good indoor league for high schoolers in Annapolis . It is not real Box and has nets instead of boards.

There is no real Box anywhere in Maryland ... its all indoor field lacrosse. Its time to start real box in Baltimore!!

What about Goals, Madlax, Next Level, Fisc, and Myers Pavilion makes it not real Box?

They have the boards, small goals, and huge goalie pads.

The goals league is pretty solid. boards, small goals, goalie gear, shot clock. 5v5 no off-sides. 2 doors for each box. not sure how real you're looking for -- cross checks and fighting?

With Tryouts finishing up for many NOVA teams looks like ranking may change some:

1. Mad Lax Capital
2. Evergreen
3. VLC
4. Cavalier
5. Top Caliber
6. Mad Lax DMV
Club Blue and DC Express should not count as Northern Virginia teams as they do not pull any VA kids mostly Bethesda/Mont. County. Maybe these teams will matchup at fall tournaments

Evergreen #2? They are a relatively new club, have they come on that strong? If so, that's good the hear.

Evergreen was able to get Dylan Maltz (MD part of RUN DMC) to coach 2022 and recruited basically the entire 3d team plus added talent from Cavalier and top Loudoun players. Club Blue NOVA is brand new so hard to rank. Some had asked if 3d would move to Elite from AA after winning AA last spring these players are all now on Evergreen.

As usual, most of the people who speak on here know absolutely nothing...

The GOALS league is real box lacrosse.

And Lax Factory runs a USBOXLA program during the winter. League and travel teams. Certified box officials and everything.

MADLAX "kind of" runs a box league and tournament. They do use small goals and padded goalies, it is 5-on-5, and their rules resemble box lacrosse. But their officials have no idea how to actually run a box game. Same with Next Level.

Gotcha , you are saying they play by the rules of Box lacrosse with box lacrosse gear but it's not Box lacrosse because they have only been playing it for 3 years.

Or did I miss something?

Actually they didnt have any legitimate coaching...that was the problem and that's why they didn't list any of their actual coaches for that team on their website.

That's hilarious. And the US Navy says our ballistic missile submarines can only go 700 ft under water. You only admit what you have to.

The Hawks have no problem admitting they are following the rules. 4 kids is it. Find another excuse for losing.

What are all of the parents who are whining now about holdbacks going to do when their 9th grader goes out for lacrosse? Hey that boy has tall parents or coach its not fair, that boy runs a 4.6 40 and is making my son look foolish out there. Here's a quick suggestion: Buy shares in sideline swap because you're going to be using it a ton.......

It was only a matter of time before the sore loser came out of his hole. Congrats on the 10-4 win this year, where not 1 API player contributed to that win. Again, if any Hawk, RR,Crab,BLC and MM decide to play on Dukes your kid would not have a roster spot. That is a fact . Congrats on the #3 ranking no one can take that from you (Dad) but your kid knows who they beat last year and who they lost to as do your coaches. New coach is very good and hopefully can control the jerk off loser daddies on the sideline.
We all look forward to seeing how many holdbacks will be fielded for API this year. Not that anyone really cares but for the sake of your relentless crying on this site .

Have you watched.. the kids in that league do NOT play box. they play field inside... No-one down here knows how to play box...

Actually, I have watched games in all of these leagues. The question is what do you think "real box" is?

Because I see moving screens, lots of off-ball movement, lots of picks, legal (in box) cross-checking, playing balls off the boards, etc. It's not fighting or big take-out checks and all that, because all of that is against the rules.

Around here, box is a means to an end. And that end is better field players. So they'll never be great at it around here like Canada.

Dukes Nationals 2022 are the undisputed #1 Elite Team. Other DN will be there too.

We would really like for the Hawks goalie who got cut to come to
ApI tryouts. No holdbacks here to take your spot and we value stability, loyalty, and continuity

No thanks. Don't need Hawks rejects. He couldn't have lost his spot to a holdback because according to Hawk parents they don't have holdbacks. Hysterical.

Every Hawk parent I've ever spoken to readily admits they have 3 or 4 kids older than the 9/1 cutoff for schools.

Lol, I would admit to 3 or 4 too if I had 8-10 and added 4 more. Can't wait until next year to see how many Hawks drop to 2023 and become double holdbacks

Now that was funny

So 3d lost their 2019, 2021 and 2022 teams? Is that correct?
