There really is nothing wrong with being on the gold team...your child will be looked at by colleges if that's what you want...your child will play on B you wont' waste your time and money traveling you can cheer your kid on instead of being frustrated.. and you won't deal with the drama and the condescending attitudes, subpar coaching and watch good athletes who train hard sit the bench. You can see from this idiotic statement "Two options for those that didn't get play time. Train harder or play somewhere else. National Championship is not going to be equal play time either" what you're are dealing with. this is not the Olympics or tryouts for the National team...buddy, your kid is 12.. a lot can change ... your character speaks volumes and it is horrible it is seen on the sidelines also..it is noticed and you are going to do some serious damage to your kids future

Igloo? Every play is run through the coaches daughter and if you are not from Northshore forget it. Think YJ with ESM is bad magnify and you have igloo.
Coaches daughter runs the team, as she should. Best girl in the grade.

As a parent on the 18 thread, things cool way down after the commits start. So you crazy people rest assured that it is not like this for the next 6 years, just 3-4. The insanity does end once kids start to commit.

Wright's team will see equal playing time at Nationals. That's just the way she coaches, and that's the way the kids play. There are no "ME ME ME " attitudes on that team. They play as a team, support each other as a team, and occasionally loose as a team. Guess what? Everybody is OK with it. No complaining parents or players. Wright often swap positions in blow out games to cross train. What a great idea. They will be competitive at Nationals, and more importantly, EVERYBODY will play and EVERYBODY will have fun. It's the experience of the event that matters. Nobody on Thorn's team is getting recruited this weekend.

Wright truly does it the right way. As a former player, we wish her and the team the very best. It is what youth sports should be about. Good luck!!

Hopefully Thorn takes notice of how Wright coaches. Equal play time and the girls having fun. Coach Wright's team will do very well in the Nationals she's a great coach.

Only an idiot would call that "moving up". A smart person would keep their daughter where they are. But go ahead and keep living the A team dream through your kid.
