Crickets on here from the tornadoes and outlaws tonight. Interesting. BM had a terrible day. Coaching change should be coming soon, or else drop down to the "B" bracket.

Anyone that has anything to say other than giving SYAG the respect they deserve after yesterday is a fool. Actions speak louder than words and they proved themselves worthy, even with the Igloo loss.

Why is SYAG always looking for respect and who's saying you don't have it, team is a known entity, talented group of kids who play together in fall and early in summer tournament season and then team seems to vanish from tournament play as boys go play for their respective club teams. Maybe all from SYAG, maybe not, who cares - they're good, but don't play it like those boys don't play for some of the better club teams. SYAG one of the biggest districts in NY, they should be able to field a good team, similar to what three village does, however those boys don't play for other clubs.

SYAG will be embarrassed by Igloo A and Tornadoes embarrassed is a stretch there big guy. will be good, close games all around. No. Igloo is going to light them up. A decent town team with a few extra mediocre Empire kids is not going to beat anyone. Tornadoes game might be close, but that's the only one. Not taking anything away from the effort but please identify and represent yourself as such Igloo coaches weren't worried about losing that first game. They were never in any trouble and were content to move the ball and retain possession. They felt no need to force anything. That was gameplay going into game 1. Parents thought it was too close so they decided to challenge the defense in the final game. Guess what? The defense had no answers for the igloo offense. 9-3 and considering SYAG was up 2-0 in the first 2 minutes, I'd consider that dominance. SYAG never had a chance and that's the truth.

Would be nice to see another good team in the mix at tourneys. They would need better coaching for that to happen. And since I heard both coaches are insane egomaniacs, I doubt would happen. They're committed, I'll give them that. They've practiced 3 times a week for the past year. But neither one of them knows the game or has ever played. Anyone can put a bunch of good players on the field and win a few games. I want my kid to learn the more important nuances of the game to raise his lax IQ. Those coaches can't deliver that, which means they won't be able to take them to the next level. Travel lax not about being a good 12 year old (or 13 judging by the size of their defender). It's about acquiring the skills necessary to perform at the next level. Those skills won't be talk by practicing every day.

Unfortunately they let up 9 straight goals after that. Pretty sure any team could have done that. But hey, if you want to hang your hat on a few goal loss in the first game (when you were never ever in control) then be my guest.

She said that their 3 top offensive players won't leave their travel club and the best defenseman's dad says he's going to the Bandits and JS won't tolerate playing for anyone else. I think if you take any one of those players off the team they drop significantly.

This comment must be from an igloo parent who's son didn't get his usual 4-5 goals because he was playing opposite a dominant defenseman who is 12 years old for your information. It's it funny that if your big for your age and not so good nobody cares. But if your big and a stud you must be older or cheating

Our team doesn't rely on anyone to score 4-5 goals. Our coaches teach them about patience, precision and execution. The boys move the ball until they find the right shot. All of our boys score. No one generally scores more than two. Unlike your team, who I think only had one kid score goals in the final. And yes, mom, Igloo scored on your boy too. Good player? Yes. Stud? Not quite.

Igloo played well as expected. Strong up and down the field. Tornadoes were average, not close to ridiculously good. Their goalie kept them in most games. SYAG played well also. Good defense and skilled offense, Will get stronger. Outlaws have a lot of work to do. Offense was not good very good, maybe off day.

I'm thrilled that your happy with your team and coaching. I'm not sure of the need though to insinuate Syag is cheating cause a kid "looks" 13. Tornadoes have a defenseman that probably close to six feet tall and not one mention of that on here.

People on here elude to cheating when a team does well (ie SYAG this weekend just happens to be the team of choice that people want to sht on). So they harp on the fact that 1 defensemen is a big kid (which is funny because MOST defensemen at this age happen to be the bigger kids on the teams). No one mentions the near 6ft defensemen on the tornadoes bc they went 1-2 with 20+ GA so clearly he wasn't a factor. That's why no one is talking about it. People come on here to bring other teams down and dilute anything good.

That is the lax way with many of these parents.
If a kid is bigger he's older
If a team is better, they are cheating
The amount of whining and crying from some is insane.
They are 11/12 year old boys. Some will hit puberty earlier and grow quicker. Some have 6'8" dads so their son should be bigger than others.

Please move on, learned nothing new this past weekend - Legacy is OK, OL's are OK, SYAG has some good players that also play for other club teams, the defenseman is big and very good, plays for Warriors and if getting bumped up to Bandits good for him, maybe 12/maybe13, but as of now if in 6th grade it doesn't matter. And yes, Igloo still one of the top 5 teams for age group.

#11 on SYAG was a very good defender. What's the criteria for "very good"? People didn't bring up the tall kid from the other team because his parents aren't on here telling everyone how good he is. But now you classless SYAG parents want to take shots at him? Typical. For the record, the team may have had a +20 goal differential, but they weren't on him. One person questioned your kids age and you say that another kid is also tall but he sucks so no one talks about it? Newsflash, his dad is very tall. Lots more growing to do. I had the displeasure of watching the game next to the SYAG kids dad. Guess what? The kid is probably about full height already. Let's compare them when they're in HS, shall we?

SYAG is a quality team with a good coach. The Igloo brand enables the team to recruit top talent, the fact that SYAG is in the conversation is impressive. They are getting better every year, I am not sure why this is a negative. It was a good showing by SYAG, they still have work to do, but a solid showing. Not a SYAG person, but an onlooker who is impressed with an unbranded very competitive team striving to get better every day.

I'm not quite sure what the argument is on this one, however the defense man that no one is talking about until now, took a cheap shot to the head of a SYAG player - unnecessary on many levels.........maybe a name change would attract less hate - or will it? People tend to HATE and frown upon others success - either way these are 11/12 year old boys - and it appears as if they're the adults and we're the children with all of the negative banter...Congrats to Igloo on the strong showing - great team with classy coaches!

Let's clarify for those of you who can't read or are too dense to understand.. nobody bashed anybody's kid . Someone ,an igloo parent, stated that Syag had a defenseman who was probably 13 based on his size. Because igloo struggled with Syag in the first game and early on in the second game that parent is looking for something to bash or justify why igloo didn't win either game by double digits as usual. If the tornadoes would have done the same thing to igloo there would have been issues with how old their tall defenseman is. But the tornadoes got blown out so no one mentions that kids size or questions his age

Let's be completely honest, SYAG is only in the conversation because they just played against them. Otherwise, there would be no conversation. Any team can go out and lose to a team twice. The first game was close, but Igloo was always in control. They just slowed the pace down. 9-3 is not a close game or a good showing. You won't see SYAG again until a fall tournament because the travel season starts in 2 weeks and those kids will all be playing for their real teams.

Igloo parents would not be on here bashing anyone (they have class from what we all saw this weekend). The only people that would spend this much time bashing Igloo or Syag are the other 2 teams who put up no competition this weekend. The bitter parents from the weekend. Certainly not Igloo and quite frankly I don't even think it's Syag. Igloo won and Syag played great games against a top team, what's to be mad about from either of their teams? nothing. It's the ones who were going on for dayyyssssss last week how well they were going to do and SHOCK everyone, etc and failed to show up when it mattered. They took the day off yesterday to sulk and came on here today ready to go. Get a life.

Its a much better showing than the 2 "real" travel teams had. Lets all get on here and talk about Syag to deflect from the fact the other 2 teams were horrendous. Maybe a little more practice and less botc stalking last week would have done you all some good. Most boring games I have ever seen in travel A bracket.
