I keep seeing all of these Tweets coming out about rising sons 2020 players. I thought that team folded? Is that right, or did I missing something?

Na... I gaurentee they don't This guy might be right. This is the year all of these PA, Md, and Mass teams get "better".... All the holdbacks and double holdbacks will be in peak form in this grade. Many a former 2018 and 2019's will find there way on to the top 2020 teams from Md, Pa, and Mass this summer. Same ole story... "Our team caught up" No it didn't, it got stocked with hold backs and double holdbacks... Blah blah blah more future D3 20 year old freshmen. Really working out well for UVA, still haven't won an ACC game in years. Same for Hop, they could barely beat UVA. After breaking through last year, UNC's Holdbacks, double holdbacks and 9th grade recruits from a few years ago seem to be $hitting the bed royally...

Well apparently now you can't make contact with coaches until sept 1 of junior year, so everything is changing.. as of April 28... and last year was early recruiting this is actually the prime summer

The end of early recruiting will see the return of age based youth lacrosse from top to bottom and the end of the holdback game. Little Biff from BL and Trig from Gilman will have to wait til their Jr. year to get recruited so the ROI of two extra years of Private school tuition to get a verbal commitment in the 8th grade just isn't there anymore.
What is little Ty Ty Xanders going to write about now?

Of course they will - but the double holdback 16 year old freshman doesn't look quite so impressive when he is playing as a rising Jr against on age kids who have gone through puberty. The gig is up.

What is little Ty Ty Xanders going to write about now? You will however see a spike in transfers from one school to another. Most of the transfers will be repeating 10th grade!!!

HAHAHA, this is the old 80's ploy.
No interest (at the family college) going into Jr year for little "Drew" Hansome the 7th. Then transfer and repeat 10th grade, get another year under your belt before the start of Jr year. (now a year older) there should be more interest since "now" a Soph playing at Prep.
Although an illusion, everyone knows the second year soph should be a Jr., but if the ends justify the means right.

Top teams at the fall tourney were 89+2, Edge and Sweet lax national. That said, it was fall, so know there were kids missing from other teams. What will be interesting is seeing how all the 2020 teams play considering many of them boys on the top teams are committed and will eventually be teammates. The list below is only meant to get the chatter going. . .will be a great season and will be fun to see how things shake out...NO OFFENSE MEANT:
1: 89+2, Looney's, Crabs, Sweet lax National, Edge, Laxachusetts
2: Tomahawks, Hawks, LIE, NXT, Leading Edge, 4HHH, Sweet lax Upstate
3: Next Level, MadLax, Dukes, Sweet lax Florida, 3d NE, 3d Colorado,
No clue where the various 89+2 teams from Westchester and Maryland fit in. . .haven't seen them at any tourneys. And BBL? They have a 20 commit.
So fill in blanks, move around, etc. That top tier though is pretty solid, IMO.

Oh will you please get over yourself already?! I have watched more than one HS team this spring with so-called "studs" from these power house club teams. In most cases the kids are good to very good, but not future superstars. I am also amazed to watch players from no-name teams step up and perform well on competiive HS teams. Stop with all the self-congratulatory BS on here.

Will these new rules affect these teams? Will kids not play as much in summer on the top end teams until closer to the year they can sign letters of intent? Will 89+2 lose players for summer now?

Looking forward to the upcoming season and renewing our rivalries we have 6 players committed before the rule change and everyone one of them is still playing with us this summer. We are at Big4HHH, CRABFEAST and the NLF event in Long Island. We saw the CRABS event has 32 teams with some very strong teams. Hopefully RM will see the teams properly insuring some good quarter final matchups.

Based on this ranking (which I think is flawed) fl$ would be in your 2nd group. Beat most of the teams in both your 2 and 3 groupings-and lost won or two as well.
1: 89+2, Looney's, Crabs, Sweet lax National, Edge, Laxachusetts
2: Tomahawks, Hawks, LIE, NXT, Leading Edge, 4HHH, Sweet lax Upstate
3: Next Level, MadLax, Dukes, Sweet lax Florida, 3d NE, 3d Colorado,

Interested to hear your, and others, thoughts. I'm basing it upon the Fall Big Four and what i've seen, which isn't everything. Note that it's just tiers, not in any order within the tiers.

This age group is not as fun as years past. Teams can't really practice as most are deep into HS ball. I have a 2018 and summer of 9th grade it lost its luster.
