Kids obviously learning life's lessons from parents We all saw similar action from fans cursing out syo superstar attackman in last years playoff embarrassment. Stop embarrassing you kids and community

The Port parents were not laughing and neither was the coach. Both sets of parents cheered for their teams and there was no drama in the stands. No need to bash entire communities and make up stories.

So, you didn't see the Port Coach get a technical? You didn't see him get reprimanded by the Ref and then being physically restrained? You must have been at the JV game I guess, it's probably hard to tell based on how PW plays.

--no ones making excuses. The port coach did not get a tehincal, a player on the bench did. The coach WAS restrained, as the ref warned him because he argued a non-call....same ref sat on syossets bench during halftime. No need to make things up, like excuses. Syossets a very good team! And their coach gets a lot of his players. But refs look afraid to make calls against syo coach too!

False.

Syo got hit with a 2 minute non-releasable... Port held possession on that call for about 25 seconds and converted zero goals.

Gotta work on the EMO play. No excuses.

the non call that the Port coach was upset about was a different play than the 2 Minute non releasable.

Thanks Capt. Obvious

You hit the nail on the proverbial head. The coach is horrible. He has been making mistakes all season with personnel. He also has no leg to stand on with the players because he does not follow through on disciplinary actions that he personally imposed. He needs to shake things up. Been sticking with certain players that have folded like cheap suits in tough games. He also has given a certain player way too many chances when they have been on a short leash from the first game of the season. He has been the topic of many comments on this thread. The character of the team follows that of the coach. If a coach is not willing to cut ties to a player that has caused problems all season and caused more harm than good to the team, what does that say about the coach. He is weak of character.  We all have also seen the way the coach and player act during games.

Wow!

We now have a Port Parent vs. Port Parent battling it out on BOTC.

At least one of the Ports will finally win!

Pretty certain every Syosset parent wishes it were a fantasy that there sons had to make the walk of shame, unfortunately it's true.

best thing i have heard on here in a long time. coach plays his starters the entire game. even if they are up by more than 10 goals. makes zero sense. no potential for team growth

Should be interesting and competitive come playoff time in Suffolk "A".

Watched WM vs HHH E yesterday, very competitive game. Smithtown East and West will compete for the championship as well. Looks like another down year for West Islip. Commack is a little inconsistent but they are a good team as well and can challenge. Anyone else ready to make a run?

It is not the coaches fault! Port does not have the horses this year. It is as simple as that. Trust me. If PW gets rid of Coach Neal, who else are you going to get?

Just have all of your starters wear sunglasses. That will help with sun glare and will let them hide their tears after the 3rd beatdown in a row.

Northport is definitely 2nd tier from the big boys, but they have played competitive in all there games. Never know who shows up. The team that best Commack, or the one that just lost to East.

Lets move this conversation back to where it belongs, Nassau with the blue bloods. Just to reiterate, again, Manhasset owns GC on and off the field. We may just keep that stick for a while-pass it around to the varsity, jv, alums and PAL...Hasta La Vista, baby.

Port Mom,

You are like a wind up toy...

Take some of that energy and frustration and get out with ur son and have a lax catch with him, or teach him how to scoop a ground ball instead of making excuses.

Go Port!

Syosset Dad,

You are like an adult toy......

Take your son to a Port game and show him a real man instead of humiliating him by letting his legs get cold walking home without pants.

Go Braves! (Except the dads)

So what are the chances for this Saturday's Reg's Rock match up? Saw GC v Manhasset this past week and Manhasset seemed to have some strong attackmen and one particularly strong midfielder (along with some other decent midfielders). But their defense seems undersized, more interested in waving their sticks than feet/body position, and reluctant to be physical. I think that will be an issue against Chaminade and our bigger attackmen. They seem to have only one defender who can deal with size and strength. The reverse is true with our defense on their attack: we will physically dominate the smaller Indians' attack. Any thoughts/comments?

One of those smaller Indians' attack played club ball with many of the Chaminade defensive guys.....those big defensive guys couldn't stop him in practice.

You mean the kid that always comes back to his left and shoots low when he turns the corner? A game is different than practice my friend!

Hey, what position do you play? When one uses the term "we" and "our" I assume that the poster is a member of the team.

Only two games tomorrow. MHS doesn't have a freshman team.

Different subject. Since the season is winding down, does anyone know how individual honors such as all Conference, County and American are chosen? Seems to be a mystery and wondering if it goes by teams record, individual accomplishments or a combination.

It's a function of how much a kids parents contribute to the Lax Booster Program.

Did Cham Frosh play WM JV? How did that go? I know a few kids on both teams whose Dad's think they're superstars.

It looks like the game was rescheduled to today due to the weather. Unfortunately, the sunny ski may effect the outcome of the game.

PW 6

(No spelling necessary. Go get yourself some cheap sunglasses. PW riding a 3 game losing streak. Don't worry, the season will be over for PW soon, then you can take the boys out sailing.)
