It is so early to do this now, you don't know about injuries? how other teams are playing at the time.

It is so early to do this now, you don't know about injuries? how other teams are playing at the time. all true but that's what predictions are ... a guess at the future with all it's unknowables. There are always many variables that change in any situation, business forecasting, investing, elections etc. It shouldn't prevent you from venturing forth with opinions. With the information available today, and my view of what is to come, these are my predictions. What's fun about it is to get to the end and see how right or wrong you were. At that point, you can evaluate all the the things that changed too. But if you don't stake out a position ahead of time, you can't have that satisfaction (or failure) in the future. Don't be so afraid to take the risk. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. By your method of waiting until everything is known, you will only be a historian. Live a little. Come out on the scary edge with me and make a women's college lacrosse prediction! Once you do, you will see it really isn't that scary after all.

D2 predictions? (D2 hater please keep scrolling) NYIT could pull it off, New Haven looks good and dark horse could be Mercy Until Fl Southern shows they weren't a fluke, money remains on Adelphi and Post again. They have won 9 of the last 10. Both schools have D1 talent that didn't want to leave LI. This was proven when Spalina took a bunch to SB when he jumped. These ladies can play! To get everyone talking and thumping their chests, I think both would be ranked around #40 in D1. What do you think?

I was at Hofstra for the headstrong tournament. Adelphi look very strong I say top 30 while post who lost a lot of talent looked very week. I don't have a child on either team. Just my opinion.

According to lax power the incoming team is not showing great talent but sometimes girls develop in college. What's up with Pace and the ever growing roster?? They will have almost 35 girls next year, and the school ain't cheap!

These are teams that finish last year from #40-111. Beating teams in the 40's might be tough but I think they could hang in there. Once you get closer to the bottom of the list Adelphi would smoke those d1 teams. The bottom of isn't very good and the ones that are good aren't very deep. Rutgers William & Mary Boston U. Monmouth Harvard Oregon Denver UMBC Bryant UC Davis George Mason Coastal Caro. Yale Furman Columbia Wagner Marist Marquette Duquesne Virginia Tech Colgate Richmond Vanderbilt Saint Joseph's Campbell Bucknell Brown Detroit Davidson San Diego St. Fairfield Villanova Niagara Iona New Hampshire Binghamton Hofstra California American Vermont Fresno St. Longwood Lafayette Cincinnati Liberty Robert Morris Sacred Heart Holy Cross La Salle George Washington Siena Mercer Stetson VCU Mt. You really don't know women's lacrosse huh? Like Adelphi has a prayer of beating Duke? or losing to Florida 11-8? Yeah Georgetown should be way better than they r given supposedly good coach (he's not) and should be a great destination for girls. But to think Adelphi is better is just more delusional nonsense from a clearly clueless Adelphi daddy.

Now someone is getting more realistic. Yes they would smoke the bottom of D1, as would the best teams in D3. And yes they would have trouble w the top of this list. And would themselves get smoked by top 30 D1 teams. This other joker poster should be mumbling to himself in a padded room at Bellevue.

This argument reminds me of the days of, my dad can beat your dad up. But just look back at the girls who were two time champs at Adelphi and then transferred to stonybrook. They help put stonybrook on the map and set some D1 records along the I'm not an Adelphi parent just someone who believes Adelphi would be in and around the top 30 in D1.

That's great that you believe that. They, however, despite your beliefs, wouldn't be a top 30 D1 team as currently constructed. It reminds me of a certain president, who despite the facts (or as his surrogate just said is putting forth "alternate facts") can't seem to grasp reality. Adelphi is not a top 30 D1 level team.

But, I live in the DC/MD area and I know around here Georgetown is not considered a very good team (they should be, like you said) and I've seen Adelphi play and I think they could beat Georgetown.

This is a great conversation D1 is a great accomplishment and yes many of these LI kids get money to schools on the very bottom of this list but you are right the better D3 and D2's schools are much better than the bottom 30 or so D1 schools. Does your daughter want a D2 national championship opportunity or play on the 100th ranked D1 school? Illustrates again that there is a place for everyone. Pick what is best but those D2 girls went to SB jumped that team to a top 20 D1 team overnight

Adelphi will struggle this year. The talent has been depleted and not replaced. PM has no clue about girls lax. Just because he was a great men's player does not make him a girls lax coach at the d-2 level. In close game's he gets out coached, but the talent from those 1st 2 years he was able to get by. He lost the championship last year because he was out coached by Florida Southern and he looked like a dear in the headlights on the sideline's. My daughter plays for another d-2 program this is just my opinion. Go Back to boys PM where you belong.
