Special thanks to Team LI 2018 for hosting a dual practice with 91 Orange team. Two groups of great kids enjoying a practice/short scrimmage.
For all you curious Express people, nobody kept score or even cared about the outcome. I don't think either team called an emergency practice the next day like some other team.
Look forward to doing it more often.

Have a question for team LI folks. Heard a rumor that team LI was folding into 91. Is there any truth to this?

My son was interested in trying out for Team LI, and he doesn't want to be part of 91.

Why ask when you knew the answer to your own question? That's right, anything to take a cheap shot at 91. LOL

Why isn't Team LI's 5th grade A team not playing in A at the Stony Brook Lax Clash? They are pretty good from what I am hearing.

Its true Stampede merged into 91 , if team long island goes that route rest assure they will be losing my son and 3/4 of his team , there no way we would want to be involved with this monopoly of a scam !

The 2018 team is very good and very well coached. They can play with any team in their age group.

Question the Team LI U13 is a mix of 7th and 8th graders. I heard they played at the Hub this weekend. How many 8th graders vs 7th graders are on the roster?

It's mostly 7th, Probably 4 or 5 young 8th graders.

No they are referring to 1 particular team that has a few young 8th graders on it. Most 2018 teams have a few 7th graders that are the same age as the young 8th graders. The age mix is the same.

When are the tryouts for Team Long Island usually? Is it an invite only type thing? I would like my son to tryout for the U13 team next year, he is a very good defenseman with a good travel program, hes just looking to make a change.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you go to the Tryouts Forum, you will find the August 2012 thread for the Team Long Island Tryouts.

On that thread, you will find contact details for the Team Long Island program. Good luck!

Thanks Cage! Would you happen to know which U13 team would be considered their top team? They have 4 U-13 teams. Blue, Red, Gold and White? Im assuming the Red team?

We would assume the same, but best to be sure and contact the program for confirmation.
