So, I need to call out Sacred Heart for dirty play. Playing St. Johns yesterday they took out one of our better players with slash to the face which needed stitches. Heard later on they also took out Kellenberg's best player two weeks ago with a cross check to the neck. Yellow cards get issued but the damage is done, and they go on to win the game against teams who are now without their strongest players. Once may be an accident, but twice is a pattern. Is that really how you want to win Sacred Heart? Win on your merits not by, literally, knocking out good players from games. Is it really worth that? Our player will now have a scar on her face because you can't play clean. Blame the SHA coaches for coaching them to do this, refs for letting it get out of hand , and certainly varsity players who should know better.

First and most important, I hope the child is ok.
Wow this parent accusing sacred heart of slashing a player is crazy. It was a good competitive game. Sacred heart only won by one and the remaining girls played well together. Only a parent of the injured girl would assume she was singled out and that she made all the difference. Lax is a team sport.

Such a stupid comment. What does that have to do with the conversation? A girl was injured. It seems there's pattern that SHA plays dirty.

Maybe the game was so close that SHA felt the need to resort to this. They won by one goal only after a talented player was knocked out of the game.

Refs are horrible in handing out reds and the sport should go to cumulative fouls and you are out of game like basketball. Northport and YJ's are infamous for turning out hatchet players. Start throwing them out of games and stop the endless whistles

Great league game CSH v Wantagh, Great scheduling of non league Manhasset v St Anthony, GC smoked Syosset, Pequa bounced back against OS but the teams on outside looking in to the super conference continue to beat people up Division +10, Lynbrook by 9, Plainedge by 10, SS by 12 somehow there needs to be a super conference B league

the top 4 teams are beating each other up should be interesting Suffolk really needs to go to some sort of power conference (like nassau) West Islip, Northport, Middle Country, Smithtown East, Smithtown West, Mt. Sinai, BBP, ESM all would be a good start.

If you look at last year's B playoffs you will see teams like Division, Plainedge...etc. get beaten by 10+ goals by the power conference B teams and they had good records coming into the playoffs. I agree on the A teams..it is by far the weakest conference in Nassau County. The C's are even weaker except for CSH, who will walk to the county title yet again.

Not sure why the decision was made to lump all the teams not in power conference into A, B, C. Dumb!!! Those teams deserve better.

If I may rant for a minuet. Recently, on both the boys and girls high school threads, I have seen comments to people {being anonymous we don't know the ages or profession of anyone} about attending H.S. games. In some situations an attendee either didn't have a child on either team, or stayed at a tournament longer than some felt appropriate to watch other teams play, or traveled a distance some would see as too far, or voided a game for "scouting" purposes. These people were vilified by others, and even called derogatory names for watching a sport the love. Why is it only lacrosse parents do this. If someone went to watch a football game, or a basketball game between two good teams no one would care or say a word. Who are these parents to hijack a public sporting event and slander people for loving a sport. Are they the same people that complain that Lacrosse isn't popular enough and should receive more attention, while excluding anyone without a direct interest in any particular game. Shame on you for calling someone a "perv" or a "loser" for watching a game they love. I bet you're the same person making March Madness brackets at your office, does that also make you a "perv" or a "loser" for watching that sport with no child involved. Maybe if we welcomed people into watch our children play the sport we all love it will grow and become bigger, instead of pointing fingers at people and calling fans names.

I was involved in a basketball forum for a while and those heavy hitters went to every game they could, happily reported back on the forum, and were not villified. In fact, people looked for their opinions on future matchups because these guys (women? IDK) had seen all the teams in action.

Leave the super conference alone but put the next group into the next division at least for the regular season. Let SS and Plainedge, Divison Lynbrook and others battle during the season. These games of winning by 15 just so you can get your name in newsday is a waste especially when they will be unprepared to play a Wantagh, Sett or GC in the 1st or 2nd round come playoff time. CSH could play their 3rd stringers in the C playoffs and still win because they have played a wicked regular season schedule

I understand the point but there was also a point to those responding - if you were at Staples last week it was for a reason. Not just a weekend drive as a spectator to see a game. I am all for seeing a game that is nearbye, but the travel and traffic to staples is a bit much for just watching a game as a fan.
