Have you seen M&D 2021 Black play? Why wouldn't they want to play for that team and for that coach? That coach is way too quiet. They will never win anything. Maybe she can get one of her assistants to step up and turn up the volume some.

You are coming off as a troll.

Question - Does CR ever flat out cut girls completely if there aren't enough girls to fill a roster for a C or D team?

The funny thing is, they don't even really yell at all. Very petty of the troll.

Okay, I am seeing tons off "troll" references on various threads. Used to be used as a verb, like trolling for fish, set the bait out and wait for someone or something to bite at it. Now people are using it as a noun, calling people a troll like the quizzical creatures that live under the bridges. Maybe we have a combination of both?

So true, especially 7/8th grade is when we typically see most movement on top teams

If you were planning on being on this clubs top team and you aren't placed there you are out of options because all of the other clubs have had tryouts already. This can cause problems.

No doubt there will be some movement on top team but reality is those players will still be better off on 2nd YJ team then any other club once parents players get past their bruised ego. Let's say 4-6 move down, those are solid players that will now become major contributors. Gap now closes between 1st and 2nd team plus with Bert now coaching solves last years biggest gripe. Look at 2020 last year, both very solid competive teams and probably best two teams on LI. Now moving from 2nd to 3 team not so good and might be time to re-evaluate. No chest pounding but quality of YJ second teams to other clubs 2 and some top teams is night and day especially as girls get older.

When will the YJ rosters be posted. There's still a round of tryouts for the younger age groups on December 6th. Rosters should show up shortly after. From club website: SUMMER ROSTERS WILL BE POSTED Dec 6th Class 2017-2022

These clubs are supposed to be drawing girls from all over the island to put together the top team. This happens with other clubs too, you get a townie coach or worse a townie parent coach and this stuff happens. In this case you have a townie club director. Any school district is lucky to have one top kid on a top team, really lucky if maybe two or three can play at that level. 7-8? But competitively, this really isn't a top team. Don't know these girls so maybe they truly do belong, but the lopsided numbers screams politics. This could be a sign of TG's dwindling ability to draw in talent from an array of districts.

I don't think the townie travel team is always a bad thing. When you have 22-25 girls on a roster, it is hard to fill in bottom spots with talent from other towns. Girls still want to play with a few of their friends for the most part, so there are groups of girls from the same town on many travel teams, not just TG. This is not a problem, but could be when one of the friends doesn't make a top team or decides to move to another team. In that case, girls can leave in great numbers, or parents have a big decision to make to keep their daughter with their friends on the new team, or stay on previous team without their friends. Travel is about lacrosse, and not about town friends, so I agree there. In many cases, car pooling is an issue you get when you have many girls from one town. Not many parents have the time available to give up 3 hours driving and staying at practices without a carpool, or without living in close proximity to the club where they aren't forced to stay in situations where they have other children or responsibilities to tend to.

More or less TG alienating girls from other districts and shrinking their pool. This has driven many girls away.

The YJ will have you sign in to access rosters
Elevate will email you the roster
TG doesn't allow you to access the rosters nor do they email you the roster. When you accept a position for your daughter you are blindly accepting not knowing who else is on the roster and you won't find out until spring practice.

Do you think that girls don't text each other? Roster spots were known right after emails were sent when girls communicated. TG girls play with each other outside of club, but also played at Hofstra 7v7 in October.

If YJ aren't posting their rosters which they always have done It just goes to show how super competitive the whole club and parent scene is. Everyone trying to hide names, teams and roster numbers.
YJ's are down in enrollment and so are a lot of other clubs. It was going straight up for a while and it seems like a lot of players on 2nd and 3rd teams elsewhere and 4th, 5th and 6th teams with YJ's are really questioning whether all this money and time is really worth it or are they just making these rich directors richer?

Your whole argument is based on generalized assumptions and sounds like you're trying to stir the pot. Reread the last few pages, YJ rosters will be posted on the 6th.

Couldn't agree more toxic sidelines with a me first attitude as everyone tries to make money or get recruited. Wait til you get to HS. Lacrosse has the worst parent sideline in HS sports. So sad, process and parents are ruining a great TEAM game
