First of all if any of you believe that our daughters actually read this drivel you are wrong. Less then 10% of the viewers are actually players. The rest of us(me included) are living vicariously through our children.
I thought the sachem parents have quieted down nicely. I think the poster who calls them white trash is just trying to stir the pot. then again isn't that what this board is all about. Leave these teams alone, Win Lose or Draw all of these young ladies are benefitting from playing High School Sports. They will be better adults for it.

This is so funny. Glad my kid doesn't go to Sachem East. This spineless jellyfish should be ashamed of hiding behind the anonymous wall. All my girls played HS and college lacrosse at both Div. I and III schools. Not all were superstars in HS and I certainly didn't blame the world or make up lame excuses for them. Hey angry mom or dad, what are you going to do when your kid doesn't get into her first choice college or her dream job when (if) she graduates? Boo Hoo blame the system, blame Obama and Congress. You are a coward and the other parents should run you out of town. It's because of people like you that I tell my kids not to go into public education. White trash. Nice. I lost a lot of respect for the parents of Sachem for trashing their own athletes, coaches, and parents who work and volunteer in the community. I wish the team well and hope they aren't distracted by the posts of some stay at home mom or computer nerd who has too much time on their hands. I may sit in the Sachem section tomorrow vs 3V. I'll know in 5 minutes who the unhappy, pathetic parents are. So now that the game is over , did your keen eye spot the offending parent?

They played an awesome game against Melville and that's all that matters.

This poll is absolutely ridiculous. Who does it St Anthony's and Garden City. Bryn Mawr showed that St Anthony's did not belong on the same field as them. Bryn Mawr handled GC pretty well also. McDongogh blows out GC. Maryvale is not even in the Top 10 and they lost by a goal to BM. Were in a close game with McDonogh until the second half. Yet St Anthony's and GC are in the Top 5. The only team in the Top 15 that St Anthony's beat is Sacred Heart (by 14), does Sacred Heart really belong in the Top 15 never mind top 30. Unlike MD, the private school league in Long Island is a joke. GC has not beaten anyone in the Top 15, they lose two games and they are still in the Top 5. I am not saying that GC is not a talented team and the same with St Anthony's but the above does not make sense. They both had the opportunity in MD to show what they are capable of. They did not demonstrate that they were a Top 5 team.

This poll is absolutely ridiculous. Who does it St Anthony's and Garden City. The poll is done weekly by ESPN and their regional city affiliates. Schools are ranked by points received. Ties are broken by which school appeared on more ballots, then which appeared higher on more ballots. The rankings are compiled by Mike Loveday. Being a parent of a girl on a varsity lax team in the catholic league on L.I. i have to say this to this post, No it's not the strongest league , but thats not why our kids go to these schools. We send our kids there for the education, and it is the best you can get. With St. Anthony as the exception, these schools don't push sports as strong as your maryland schools but while your worried about 4-8 years of lax, and how many students you send to D1 schools , we're pushing out Ivy league students for educations that last a lifetime. So you can keep Maryland (grade 13-16), and have a great lax player. There going to work for my daughter when there done playing

Lets see if GC loses to St Anthony's , do they still stay in the Top 5. I looked at St Anthony's remaining schedule, they play no one. The only decent team they play is Sacred Heart and they already beat them by 14. Not sure what the point is. St Anthonys would lose to McDonogh by at least 15. GC is overrated. They get destroyed by Bryn Mawr and McDonogh. Now they will lose to SA, do they still stay in the Top 5. If GC played down here they would not be Top 4 in the league same with St Anthony's. Both have great PR machines which I give them credit for.

As i stated on a previous thread regarding top rnaked players - NOT WORTH THE PAPER IT'S WRITTEN ON - it's all coaches and cronies pushing there own agenda/team/players, do you really believe that anyone is spending the time and money to properly scout all the HS programs in the country? never happened, they have there hands full just trying to handle college rankings, which are far from perfect, so take all this BS for what it's worth - nothing - perhaps some amusing conversations/blogs, but that's it. The panelists include : Chris Goldberg, PhillyLacrosse.com; Brendan Hall, ESPNBoston.com; Mike Loveday, ESPNHS; Tom Peace, ESPNHS; Derek Toney, VarsitySportsNetwork.com.

That is a very childish and ignorant Statement. The reason McDongagh is so good is because they are like the Stony Brook Schhol. The have on campus housing and all the girls play on the Same Club team. The coach owns a travel club and the girls play year round with each other. They recruit from all over Maryland. By the way it cost $50K a year to go to High School there. they better win.
