Age based for everything... it's the only answer. Everyone needs to start demanding it. If we could somehow start boycotting these events, it would change everything. If we can re-direct the money flow we can change the system. For the good of the kids and the game.
Start writing to both the Long Island Metropolitan Lacrosse Foundation and to US Lacrosse - demand that they begin to sanction tournaments on a U-age basis and that they enforce their player pass/birthday rosters.
The problem is the US Lacrosse is only concerned about registration numbers - not conformance to age group specifications. It is one thing to publish U-age standards. It is quite another to enforce it.
Threaten to STOP your registrations - including within your club - with US Lacrosse. Exactly what are they doing for you?
