Does anyone know when the rosters will be posted? Soon. Sorry to say that there are going to be a lot of disappointed 2019 girls. Between the infusion of new kids and the decision to keep the rosters at a 22 min 24 player max, there will be a 5 – 7 kid drop from each team. The teams should be better ten. The Jack Welch model at work in youth sports. But unlike the Jack model these people were paying in to CR and now after taking all that cash she will dump them? Cold! People need to wake up and stop kissing the butts of all these directors. Its a business

Its a business Just because a kid does all the camps, clinics and private training, it doesn't translate to them being the best players. Not saying the best players don't work hard, but they usually possess the speed, agility, game sense, whatever that parents spending heaps of money will never achieve with their kids. So thank god CR picks teams based on talent and not money spent.

after fall tournaments - you think CR wants to hear in person everyone [lacrosse] where they were placed After the fall tournaments as sign ups for those already happened and would be awkward to be playing on a team you were moved off of. Do you really think CR cares about your bitching. 2019 will be interesting as they had 27 last year , will have 4 or so new kids so 7 will get moved off to get to 24. If you want to stay on that team you may want to move into Smithtown and live on the East side . Watch what happens the best kids from 2nd team will get jumped by connections and not get moved to top team. The good news is the 2nd team will get better and with some new talent may even beat the top team, the crazy parents of some kids on Carros team think their kids are the best players when in fact not that great and eventually their mouths will get them in trouble. Immunity also applies to the following groups Mt. Cyanide (including Friends and Family) Northport Garden City

In the end the team will never be as good as it could have been as it is a glorified smithtown travel team and sadly everyone knows it .

I bet the kids from these groups did not get shifted down from whatever team they were on last year.

A town is lucky to get one yj blue player, real lucky if they produce two blue players, by the time you get to three something is wrong. This is a problem on several teams and across several clubs. It makes the coaches who psick the rosters look very biased and self serving. Don't know this team at all, how many Smithtown girls on there?

Yes they have many good players and there are some good players on the second team as well. Problem is they do not have the usual top 3-4 kids that most YJ blue teams. It seems most YJ blue teams have 2-4 players that are dominant type kids and they depend on them in the big games, that team does not have that type player( maybe someone will become that kid).Of course you have a few parents that think their kid is that player and the coaches try to play that type game which is why the consistently lose the big game. They are a good team just not great.

How does this team do when they face M&D and other top clubs? These girls are still growing and maturing some sooner than others. The final chapter still has to be written. It was brought up last year that a ton of Mt. Sinai kids were on Bert's team maybe they are building a great 2nd team with the same coach that will have them in HS. The future looks bright don't get hung up on the BS

Mitchell is a new daddy coach, replacing Bert. This coming summer, every coach and assistant coach of the top three 2019 teams will be a daddy or mommy coach.

I disagree with you. There are a few standouts on 2019 blue that are fun to watch. Just because my daughter isn't one of them doesn't mean that I'm goibg to take that away from them. I tell my daughter to work harder, maybe you should do the same instead of being jealous

[/quote] I am truly surprized CR even allows parents to coach with all the down side. First off you have coaches picking home grown teammates and friends, which is definitely not picking from distributed talent from multiple towns. Next you get cliques and hard feelings built in. As years go by you get stuck with stale players and friends that the coach feels bad putting down a team or two, especially if its his/her own daughter. It just does not make for a strong model for building the best team possible. The best teams and age groups will always be the ones where the coaches have no strings attached, near impossible but at least the HS coaches aren't tied to the players nearly as bad as the parent coach.

Just happens to be a year that has some very good players but none are dominant .Please tell us which kids are the dominant players, if you think any of those kids compare to the best players on the 2018 team you are just wrong. Matter of fact not even sure which kid or kids you are talking about.

If you want an example of a Mommy/Daddy coach, look at the guys/gals that were coaching at the Farmingdale and Laxin Dead games. Didn’t know what the heck they were doing, but were good enough to help out. These guys probably coach or help coach PAL and think they are capable of coaching at the travel level because their town team has won a few games. I don’t think they will get the opportunity to coach YJ summer ball, but you never know.

Your dominant non ball hog2019 had 2 assists for the entire season (talk about playing with your head down) while the kid you call a ball hog had 23 assists on the year playing on the same team. Your 2019 who you consider better had 30 less goals on the season than the 2018, the facts don't lie you are right no comparison.

If the parent coaching keeps their daughter on the team...they are a mommy/daddy coach. Worse yet, you recruit players from your town/school district that shouldn't be there either.

How did your superstar do the year before? Last year at this time the best 2017 girls were verbally committed how about your 2018 girl?? Nothing!! What about the other girls.. nothing to say about them???

actually thats not a fair compare - look at the 2018's stats the year before when she was the same age as the 2019 and you will see the goals and assists a comparable. Of course 2018 had more goals this year - she probably had more playing time - the 2019 was just a 7th grader!

I know many girls who are getting offers on 2018 team to places that 2017 girls are commited to play at. Many of them have decided to wait to commit until after fall ball just like the 2017s last year....

The ball hogs on 2018!! No comparison. 2019 top players much better. You'll see. Jealously is a very ugly emotion. I know .... let me guess... your poor kid is being overlooked, no one passes her the ball wah wah wah. The girls I'm talking about are from Rocky Point, ESM and SWR...does that help? Love it , lets make a quick comparison of kids that play school ball together, one of the kids you consider dominant plays with 1 of the better 2018 players. Did they play same amount of time???? How did your superstar do the year before? Last year at this time the best 2017 girls were verbally committed how about your 2018 girl?? Nothing!! What about the other girls.. nothing to say about them??? Now I get it, you are just ignorant, please share with us one YJ 2017 that was committed at this time last year. The 2016 class maybe had 1-2 kids committed at this time last year. You really make it easy to make you look foolish.

Ob and you figured out one of the dominant players from 2019 all on your own. And your 2018 player coulxn't even lead her scbool team to playoffs while I believe a 2019 girl made it to Counties..lol

Wow, lots of time to spare... Instead of battling it out here, do something constructive like rake my leaves... ;-)
Obviously these girls are ALL talented, otherwise we wouldn't be talking about them here. If anyone is to blame for the style of play, go after the coach, not the girls. It's HIS/HER job to make sure everyone's playing as a team and COACH the "all about me" players.
If there's a question about teamwork / greed, I always thought it was the coaches responsibility to keep that mentality and style of play in check.

I believe ESM had won the counties twice before? The 8th graders team has not been to counties since 08. Esm has loads of D1 recruits while the 8th graders team had about 1 or 2.
