2020 A & B are practicing together...at least for now. Not sure what the end game is with that. The A team parents will have an end to that. LOL! First real practice should be around June 1st

First real practice should be around June 1st Ha, the express shuffle, they practice together 2-3 times, then they ask who wants to go to the shamrock shootout, then a few weeks later they reestablish AandB teams. And no, you can not get your money back when you thought you were on A and end up on B.

Remember 2018 terps started with 22 players last year ended up with 32 players B-team did not start practice until one week before first tournament. Did nothing till then- MC is ripping you off. So if they didn't move these 10 kids up from the B team, where did they come from ? From anywhere and everywhere.... Could you be a little more specific ? When were these kids added- winter, spring, summer ? Players and parents don't have a problem with this ? How about the 2nd team players, that's got to [lacrosse] them off seeing them add players without moving kids up first.

It must not have been that bad because every single kid that was on the team was at tryouts this year except 1 kid that had quit before the end of the year.

The team has not started with 22 players in over 4 years. the real number was 28 and went up to 30 then down to 29 ( goalie left). The additional players were developmental, not studs and thier playing time was minimal. practices on the other hand will always have invites. playing time and reps are always effected but in the end, the training and level of of play can't be beat.

You are delusional! The same crap has been going on for years! The A-AA teams, practicing together, promises that turns to behind the back schemes, picking up new players (any time of year) picking some players for an "Elite" team...blah, blah, blah! Nothing good comes of it. Ask those 2016, 2017 (not Turtles) & now 2018 parents. Same crap, different year and now just more parents buying into the ridiculousness!

Once the deposits are paid they will split the team practices. Gives the illusion that they are treated equally

Mine has been on 2018 terps for four years now. Channy always up front and always reasonable if you have the nerve to pick up the phone and speak to him. If your kid is not a stud, he tells you very clearly. If your kid is a stud, he gets Jake Reed, Showtime and Philly Fresh Show.
He brings team to most competitive tournaments (Adrenaline and the like). I actually watched a game next to Virginia coaches. So, all people have a choice to make, if your kid is not a stud, perhaps this is not the place for you. If your kid is a stud (or has potential to be a stud) then you definitely want Channy or 91 extreme.
I admit I have missed of few games over the years, but the only time there were 30 players on the team was when we played both the 2017 and 2018 age brackets at NXT...
So, if you don't like express or channy move on to another team, but I think you will find that all of these clubs are basically the same and the politics of each situation lead to unhappy parents depending on whether your kid benefits from the politics or not.
If you are just looking for your kid to play lax and not thinking about playing at the next level, you don't need to be on express, you can play anywhere. If you bought into the dream that your kid is going to the next level (D-1), then he should already be on the A team and a stud.
Plenty of other opportunities to play in college that don't need channy or 91--plenty of good D-3 programs with great academics...but to waste your time complaining that you didn't get an email thanking your for trying out, or that your kid never sees the field because too many players...clearly you are in the wrong organization and you and your son would be happier some where else, so go and leave the rest of us in peace..

The angst comes from those who have paid like you, have practiced like you, have travelled like you, but get nothing from the club. Sure, not all kids are college lacrosse material, but families shouldn't be strung along to think that the club is doing something for them, when in fact, they are not. Clubs should be honest about that and the honesty comes from not having an abundance of teams per grade in order to line pockets. Your post proves that if you're not on the A team, get out before you waste a year.

That's fantastic and what the club experience should provide.
I am sorry that you have had such a horrible experience but I was wondering who put the gun to your head and made you join Express or made you play on the second or third team? or made you come back? this may be a case of you do NOT get what you pay for but as the saying "goes fool me once...." plenty of other teams out there. There is a 2015 kid that was on the third team in 9th grade and is going to Fairfield on a scholarship - he grew, he got better and he worked his tail off, played in the fall events, got an invite to Maverik and never complained.

The first paragraph is an Irrelevant response. As for the next paragraph, kudos to the kid. It's a great thing to see. It also proves that it's more about the individual than the club.

Nicely put! Yes, please move on. So how many of these 30 will be D-1 commits- 10,15,20 ? Is you're little Jimmy a stud ? here is the breakdown - hope this helps 19 D1's 2 Duke, 3 Maryland, 2 Ohio State, 1 Penn State and 1 ea. Harvard, Cornell, Navy, Penn, St Johns, Hofstra, UNC, Rutgers, Lehigh, Army and Bucknell 3 d2' 2 NYIT and 1 Post 5 D3's Weslyn, Tufts, Centtenary, Western NE and Williams and one will decide not to play in college and Little Jimmy is going to Bucknell Than I envy Little Jimmy! And Wes, Tufts and Williams. Take a Ivy, Patriot and NESCAC all day. Look at the Top 10 w/highest paid business grads- Express has players in High School on LI that are committed to these schools. Give some respect to the Express. http://college.usatoday.com/2014/08/15/the-10-colleges-with-the-highest-paid-business-graduates/

Why don't we just stop all this nonsense, focus on your child and not other programs and how they are run or who runs them. I'm sure that we can find faults in every program and their directors but why waste all that energy. Just make sure your child gets the best education and gives it his/her all in any endeavor they attempt.
